I've seen several different post about the patching or downloading already patched email.apk's that disable the exchange security policies. I didn't find on in this Sprint Note II part though. So I was wondering if anyone might be working on, already have one or can link me to one that they know works for this phone. The security policy that is on the phone now prevents me from using the removable storage and that's pretty annoying. Plus I don't think someone should be able to wipe my phone when they don't even pay for it. But that's a whole other subject. Thanks for any of your help and sorry if there was already a post for this in this section. I didn't see one but I could also be going blind.

This is an older post, but I just got my Note II and I am looking for the same answer.
Is there anyway to bypass the exchange security policies?

Now that the S IV is supposedly goign to ship in April with a working Bluetooth 4 (BLE) stack, will it be possible to get that ported to the Note II?
The presentation looked like most of the "features" were software, if that's the case i'd think someone will get the good bits and make them available to us, no?
I want to know how much software wise is going to come to the Note 2 with the 4.2 update. It is still current hardware on the Note side until September after all. I'll be upset if they take features out.

Just got a notification as I was going to bed for a device update management. Went ahead and did it, but it didn't have to download anything. It just restarted and updated android.
Back story. Had another thread where I had issues with my phone, swapped it out with AT&T. The employee updated the phone earlier today while I was there and I did check a hour ago that it was indeed 4.1.2 already installed. Is this update maybe to fix the security holes? Anyone else get anything?
Edit: looks like it was the security hole fix since I have baseband ma4 now. My old note 2 never got this update

My apologies in advance, I'm sure this topic has been covered, but my googlefu is just not strong enough to find what I'm looking for.
I have a rooted AT&T Galaxy S3. It's running ktoonsez's AOKP rom. Recently, I noticed the rom has not been updating. Some googling seems to indicate that an outdated bootloader is the problem. How do I upload to the latest bootloader?
Sorry again, I feel really dumb that I'm unable to find the solution for this on my own. I'm sure it's been covered before.

OK, I scoured the forum for more information on this missing feature. It seems to have worked in the past, depending on the ROM and Kernel you were using. I scoured the internet for more information on this, looking through changelogs and so on, but since I am still fairly new at this, was a bit lost. To my understanding this is not an available feature in CM10.1 for the SGH-I747. This is because of the update to the most recent kernel, which doesn't currently support it.
If anyone here knows more about this issue, please point me in the right direction. If it is currently broken, please point me the way to supporting it by adding my vote/voice to getting it fixed. I would like to see my android in 40" 1080p. I have the correct 11 pin cord for this, ordered off of Amazon. I would even put a bounty on it if thats what it took.

Bump, also, would 50.00USD be a good bounty offer for this? Ported to AOKP or CM10.1 Nightly?
I just realized i should do a proper bounty thread... So, thread closed.
Hello everyone, so I have a question I need to ask since made a big mistake and left T-Mobile before they switched over to what they are now… I opened a Sprint contract with a GS4, traded it for an IPhone 5 then traded again for a Note 2…. Question, I hate the Note 2 because of it still on 4.1.2 for past months and even though there is Rom support… Data issues are Horrible (I don’t mean Sprint Service in general)… So, I’m going to go on Craigslist to get a used Sprint device until availability of Nexus 5, should I sell the Note 2 for a Galaxy S4 or HTC One to use on Sprint...
One more question would the Note 2 get Kit Kat Rom Support?
Sounds to me like you just need do some device/brand homework to figure out what features you're looking for and appeal to you.
BTW...Sprint will begin rolling out android updates starting 11/20, and next time try searching through Q&A it addresses all of these questions.
