Just got a notification as I was going to bed for a device update management. Went ahead and did it, but it didn't have to download anything. It just restarted and updated android.
Back story. Had another thread where I had issues with my phone, swapped it out with AT&T. The employee updated the phone earlier today while I was there and I did check a hour ago that it was indeed 4.1.2 already installed. Is this update maybe to fix the security holes? Anyone else get anything?
Edit: looks like it was the security hole fix since I have baseband ma4 now. My old note 2 never got this update

So about a week ago my phone just randomly loses 4G and I called at&t and they said I am most likely having a hardware issue. I only have G right now and my speeds are under 200kbps. Extremely slow! I have tried flashing different roms and nothing has worked to get it back to normal. When I I reboot my phone I can get 4G speeds for about 30 seconds and then it quits and goes to G. Has anyone else encountered these problems and/or have any solutions??
Please help. Thanks

Having the same issues. Stated a thread too. Att is shipping me a new phone, but yeah...something had to have happened.
I've seen several different post about the patching or downloading already patched email.apk's that disable the exchange security policies. I didn't find on in this Sprint Note II part though. So I was wondering if anyone might be working on, already have one or can link me to one that they know works for this phone. The security policy that is on the phone now prevents me from using the removable storage and that's pretty annoying. Plus I don't think someone should be able to wipe my phone when they don't even pay for it. But that's a whole other subject. Thanks for any of your help and sorry if there was already a post for this in this section. I didn't see one but I could also be going blind.

This is an older post, but I just got my Note II and I am looking for the same answer.
Is there anyway to bypass the exchange security policies?
Now that the S IV is supposedly goign to ship in April with a working Bluetooth 4 (BLE) stack, will it be possible to get that ported to the Note II?
The presentation looked like most of the "features" were software, if that's the case i'd think someone will get the good bits and make them available to us, no?
I want to know how much software wise is going to come to the Note 2 with the 4.2 update. It is still current hardware on the Note side until September after all. I'll be upset if they take features out.

Poked around a little and didn't see an answer. Was wondering if MMS works on LTE? Came from the S3 and there were issues there. Didn't know if they carried over.
Thanks.

I'm using the cm10.1 nightlies with no problems. Although some people are still having issues with the stock messaging app.
So I was forced to switch to TMo on a POS nokia but I'm still wanting to use my epic on wifi. Now the time and date are completely wrong since it can't talk to sprint NTP servers, so obviously authentication is screwed on some apps that require certificates.
What do I need to do now that my device is going to be a wifi only device?

Sorry about that one. Kinda lost my head over this. I think I found my answer in over use of airplane mode. I had been using it constantly because of crappy signal to begin with. Toggling back and forth after I reflashed ROM seems to have worked for now. Just hoping it doesn't happen again. Odd since before my service was shut off, I was rock solid for over a month on the initial flash.
