I did this from the stock deodexed rom and I don't see the mms app installed after reboot. I'm on 100%stock rom but I used a deodexed version is that why? My computer broke and my backup of stock is on it and not on my phone. I could try to fix it but so far nothing is working so my backup as far as I'm concerned is gone. Any ideas?

ALWAYS before flashing anything backup, test whatever you flashed. If it did bot work as expected or you are unhappy with it, restore your backup.

First of all, the backup you restored must be rooted. If not you have to root. Then you must have a SU app to manage SU requests.

No. So that means I have to root my phone again?

Install one via play store. Superuser by koush is recommended.
Then the program will tell you that you're rooted or not.
If I helped, hit thanks.

i ran into the same problem what i did was (need root to do this) get a file manager that allows u to change permission (im using the one that comes built into Rom Toolbox), follow the path system/app and locate these 3 files and delete them: htcmessageuploader.apk, htcmessageprovider.apk and the message.apk
After u delete the 3 files push the mms.apk which i attached into the app folder and set permissions.
Then turn phone and boot into recovery and wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache
Reboot and enjoy

I know this shouldn't necessarily be in this section but I've already PM'd someone and asked on the original thread for help and have gotten no response yet. I understand people may be busy though too. At any rate, can anyone give and exact instructions on how to flash this ROM? They're not in the ROMs OP so...yeah, I'm lost.

Use same fresh install method listed in any of my rom threads... I'm not sure about restoring messages I never do it but system data is usually a no no if you have issues with titanium download super su update your binary with the recovery method then go into titanium preferences and click the back up folder location option and change it from sdcard0 to legacy it will ask you if you want to move your back ups say yes then restart titanium and world will be right again
