Can you still get into recovery?
If so, just flash the stock rom.
Otherwise, if you mean that your note 2 won't start up at all, try getting into download mode.
If you can access download mode, use odin to get back to stock.
As long as you can get into download mode, there is no reason to panic

So it is possible to get into download mode?
I couldn't locate a stock rom that could be used with odin
As long as you can access the download mode you are fine now.
I would wait around a bit to allow some time for developers to come by this post to give you further assistance
As far as I know, you need a .tar file to use with odin.
Since I could not locate the tar file, I will have to let you get advice from someone else.
My apologies

Doesn't seem fine ATM. But I guess we'll see.
One advice that I will give you is to READ more.
I can't say that I know much, but the fact that you do not even know how to access download mode tells me that you need to learn heck of a lot more.
Being able to access download mode indicates that your phone isn't 'bricked.'
Download mode is what Samsung uses originally to install the roms through odin.
Hence, I can't guarantee your data, but your phone will be functional again - once your rescue arrives.
READ more. Reading more won't hurt a bit - especially when you are faced with the situation that you are in
Use heimdall. And i'm pretty sure sammobile has all available stock roms for the Note2

It's not that I didn't know how to get to download made, it's that I didn't know there was such thing as download mode. When I rooted my phone I did it all on my phone through equinox abuse apk and goo manager so I wouldn't have to deal with crap like download mode and Odin and all of that since I can't even use Odin with a Mac. And believe me when I say that I have been reading. I have not left my computer since this happened.
Okay I am going to use heimdall as it works for Mac. I will try to get the stock AT&T rom from sammobile again but I don't see why it will work this time considering it didn't work last time. What do I use to clean up any remaining root software after I get the stock rom flashed? And how to I return it to a un-modified state so I can return to att and get a new one that has a working SIM card reader.

First I'll assume you're on att. You can get the stock unrooted att rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076745
Second, assuming heimdall works like odin does, youll flash the md5 file you downloaded from the above link and this will wipe your phone. No root, no customization, no data, nothing.

---------- Post added at 08:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:25 AM ----------
Finally, once you have a stock phone again, if you have the modified count > 0 in the download screen, youll have to follow these directions to clear count: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992303
Edit: last things. You'll have to be able to connect to your phone through your mac using the necessary usb drivers. You may be able to find a pc at a library or coffee shop, etc... this will teach you to be a mac fanboi good luck

I did the same thing last week. Easy fix. Power off first, remove battery if you have to
1. boot into recovery (vol up+home+power)
2. select mounts and storage
3. select mount usb storage
4. copy your rom onto the sdcard in one of the folders
5. unmount usb
6. select install zip from sdcard
7. select choose zip from external sdcard
8. go to folder you copied rom and install
9. reboot

HELLO EVERYONE!
This is how to UnBrick the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II.
Make Sure you Never UnPlug the USB Cable While Flashing!
YOU WILL NEED:
Odin 1.85
USB Drivers
T-Mobile Stock 2.3.6
T-Mobile Stock 4.0.3
You must be really nervous right now. DON'T WORRY! THE MORE YOU STRESS, THE MOST LIKELY YOU WILL MESS UP!
Let's get down to business!
1. Relax, and focus on what you are doing.
2. Now try to put your phone to Download Mode.
A. Take out and put back in the battery. Then, hold Vol + and Vol - , now plug in USB and you will get to this screen.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then, you must press Vol +, and your in Download Mode!
B. Find a G2x USB and check if it puts in download mode while its off. If it doesn't, you will need to use a USB JIG.
IF NON OF THIS OPTIONS WORK, AND YOUR PHONE DOESN'T BOOT, YOU HAVE HARD BRICKED YOUR DEVICE. TO PROVE THIS HAPPENED, PLUG IN YOUR DEVICE AND SEE WHAT THE DEVICE NAME IS ON YOUR PC. SHOULD SAY SOMETHING ABOUT QUALCOMM BOOTLOADERS.
2. Once your in Download Mode, open up Odin 1.85 (Make sure you installed the drivers!) Once in Odin 1.85, Check PDA and look for the downloaded:
T989UVKL1_HOME_SGH-T989user_CL799405_REV00.tar.md5 for 2.3.6.
Tmobile LE1 ICS FULL ROM for 4.0.3.
3. Press Start!
4. Once it's done, it should look like this.
Now, it should reboot to recovery and delete cache and data. Then, it will boot.
Your now on stock, if this didn't work for you, write in the comments, What device you have (T989D or T989) if it went to Download Mode, and what didn't work!
HOW TO ROOT YOUR PHONE
1) Download This Recovery : ClockworkMod TOUCH 5.5.0.4
2) Download The SU Files : SU Files + Superuser
3) Flash SU Files In Recovery.
4) ENJOY
Thanks for your time, this useful. Maybe they could check the battery, before anything. For a real noob guide, add in download links for drivers, odin, and files, etc.
Thanks for this good job.If I can suggest also putting 2.3.5 stock zip up.It is easy to root with superonclick.Then flash a 2.3.6 ROM of your choosing.thanks again.
Edit:Or I guess you can just flash recovery then flash a 2.3.6 rooted ROM to get your root.
From a glaxay better than yours.

what are my options for hard bricked device ?
it hangs on black screen, no download mode no CWM no nothing.
Only when i connect it to the pc in device manager shows qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader9008 ?
Thanks this really helped me.
This worked great after the damn forced OTA locked my phone on the white loading screen. I was so worried I had lost all my xmas pics I just took of my 1 and 2 year old daughters. I followed these instructions exactly and after a reboot all of my data, pics, video are still there. Nothing was lost
Now I just have to reroot, remove readded bloat, etc and can enjoy my phone again. Thanks sooo much.

Hi All,
I've been trying to fix and upgrade error I got since two weeks ago. I found in this forum some related issue that I was trying but without luck.
I proceed to explain what I did to know if someone with more knowledge than me could kindly help, I really appreciate it.
[Device Information]
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (Wifi)
SM-T210
UK version
[Issue Description]
I was trying to root the device, I was searching for different approach to do it and the I select one to proceed, but it was so late and I was too tired that I forgot to enable debug mode, so I tried to update the tablet with a rooted firmware version. The process didn't work at all, but the tablet now is completely gone.
Actually, the tablet display the following information:
##########################################################################
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T210
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
HW REV: 0x5
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
[Steps done]
1. I download a couple of official firmwares but ODIN is always getting error trying to write into the Complete(Write) operation failed after NAND write operation at the beginning.
2. I've tried with ODIN v3.09 v3.07 v3.06 v3.04 v1.85 and v1.83.
3. If I try to connect to Kies, Kies try to connect to the device but enter in a loop trying to connect. I'm using Kies on WinXP, Win7 and MacOS. In all of them I got the same behavior (loop connection). I'm using the last Kies Version. Also I install serveral times the Samsung drivers. So, it's impossible to connect to Kies.
4. I'm searching for a official firmware and how to configure properly the ODIN but all the official firmware are stored on hotfile but now is not available anymore.
Could anyone of you help me to find a way to recover the tablet, it's the second week and I'm still in the same situation.
Thank you so much in advance.
Regards,
Nano.

1st remove your external SD card....then do this
Boot to DL mode
Flash a CWM Recovery using Odin
Boot to Recovery
Format Every Single folder....an error will be found eg. Not found NVM just ignore it
Wipe Data..Cache and Delvik
Turn off device and go to DL mode
Flash back stock firmware using Odin. The above idea will wipe out every junk in the partitions for a fresh firmware to be pre-loaded.
Sent from my SM-T211 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks but I cannot get into DL mode any key combination would get back into the Firmware issue screen and even when Odin mode is supposedly on according to the screen, Odin would not get pass the Setup Connection stage.
Sent from my XT1058 using XDA Free mobile app
From here forget about DL mode...with Odin follow the steps above..it should flash the CWM

if you know which block or patition your recovery lives in and you are rooted
you can use dd command. place recovery.img in /sdcard,
in terminal
cd /sdcard
then
dd if=recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p#
# is the mmcblk where your recovery.img needs to be flashed. don't screw it up ! research!

I am in a similar situation where Kies does not recognize my device so I am downloading the stock firmware and will use Odin to see if that works.
galaxy tab 3 8.0
I was deleting applications on my tablet the other night and i accidentally deleted the os. i have used kies, and kies 3 to try to do a firmware recovery, but, it did not work. i dont know what to do and i would really like some help haha. any tips??
^^^^^^ like he said ^^^^^^^
Go to SamMibile, find your device, choose your country and download. then flash through Odin. Sam Mobile even gives you a link to that.
can you shut the device down (hold the power button for a really long time)? if not let the battery die, then fully charge it. Then enter download mode (press and hold volume down, home and power button at the same time) then when it says to, volume up.
Once in download mode you should be able to use Odin to flash your stock firmware
I have my Tab 3 in download mode "Downloading" Screen, and tried Odin and Kies and cannot connect. What version did you use to connect? Thanks for your help.
Unlocked bootloader ,all OK. (via official LG unlock.bin )
Installed TWRP, all OK. Installed STOCK-20a-ROOTED.zip for the LG G4, by cile381 all OK-- but no ROOT.
So I tried STOCK-20a-ROOTED.zip again but this time went with the SU option, and bootloop, loop, loop------------
I did a backup with TWRP before any of this happened ,BUT even though backup is present -- something is read only, I presume it's the system disk.
Would like a bit of help as phone is spanking new and has never left the house or even had my SIM card in it.
Phone get the red swipe over and then the LG Logo comes on and stays looping at that point.
tnx and hope it's not good night

Try to get into download mode. If you don't know how just check this thread. Once done use LGUP to flash the 6.0 kdz (if you want a stock 6.0 ROM), or flash 5.1 KDZ for your device and restore root and TWRP. LGUP thread is located here. Just follow the instructions.
Please keep in mind that there's a way to get out of bootloops 99% of the time (In fact 100% if it's a software problem). Furthermore, if you'd like to have a rooted 6.0 ROM, refurbish to 5.1 and follow these instructions. Hit thanks if this helped
Big thanks to " Follow_and_Feel"
I'm up and running again, now how do root this marshy_mallow. Have a few threads will have to spend more time going through them

As I said. Just refurbish with LGUP to 5.1 (if you're not on 5.1 already) and then root it with this method, flash TWRP (You'll find a lot of threads how to do it) and then follow these instructions and you're on rooted 6.0
Please note that there's no official way to get xposed to H815, since the latest zip is leading to bootloops (If you're interested in further modding). Cheerio my friend Hit thanks if I was of help

What's your problem and what have you tried/done already? I need a little more information (e.g. Device Model, ROM, OS, etc.)

- LG H815
- Android 6.0 Stock Rom with unlocked bootlader, root and twrp
- the bootloop is caused by a change in the build.prop
I already tryed the lg flashtool 2014, lg bridge(it said that there are no problems), lg up (unknown device), adb (no adb connection).
Is there a way to boot into twrp with the hardware keys?

Yes of course there is!
Power off your device (E.g. pull battery), wait until it's completely shut down, now
Hold power button AND Volume Down button
Hold these two buttons until you see the LG logo on your screen
If the logo appears, immediately release ONLY the power button for 1 sec (you're still holding the Volume down button)
Now press and hold power button again (still holding volume down button)
If it now asks you to wipe your system, click "yes" and "yes" and tada...you're in TWRP

Ok. I suggest you re-install LG Flash Tool, re-install drivers and make sure you're using a proper USB-cable. Try it again and then let me know.
Additionally, did you try a CSE flash? I don't know what's the problem, but it actually should recognize your phone, if it's in download mode. Are you sure you're in dl mode?

I didn't find a solution to fix that within bootloop
---------- Post added at 06:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:56 PM ----------
Not necessary, in bootloop, just connect usb and start lgup, when it detect it, (and it will as unknown mode device) tap com port it was found on and ui will open, then click on phone info, it will connect and establish a valid usb connection to phone and open new prompt with phone info...... Then start adb command prompt and enter 'adb reboot recovery' and bingo you're in recovery.... Solves every bootloop!

I guess he means that you have to click on the USB Port on your PC, where LGUP detects your phone. There are several things you can do, if LGUP doesn't detect your phone. Just look through this thread. There has to be a solution to this!!
I have been searching and reading quite a bit here on the forums trying to find an answer to this problem. I haven't found a thread that answers my question, though I've seen many threads with different things I can try. I explain the problem and what I've tried to do to fix the problem here.
The problem:
I decided to give IronRom a try on my tablet. I installed the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107
Everything worked great for about 2 weeks. However, one day I went to turn on the tablet and I was stuck in a boot loop. I could get to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S screen but no further before the tablet would reboot.
Here is what I've tried to fix the problem:
1. First I tried going into TWRP to do a full wipe. I cannot get the tablet to enter recovery mode. Power/Home/Volume Up does nothing. I can get the tablet to enter download mode through Power/Home/Volume Down.
2. Using Odin I tried reflashing TWRP but no matter what I did, I couldn't get into recovery.
3. Using Odin I went over to SamMobile and got my stock rom. I flashed it and according to Odin, it was a success. But when it auto rebooted, it brought up the Samsung screen once, rebooted and now I'm stuck with the logo screen on all the time. Holding the power button does not turn the tablet off. I can still get into download mode though.

At this point I need suggestions. I'm not seeing any .pit errors but am not sure that would be worth pursuing. If I do, I'll need a little help learning how to do that.

I appreciate the reply, but I am already able to get into download mode and can connect my tablet using Odin. I was even able to flash the stock rom as the photo in my post showed. So I'm a little confused. How is a jig going to help me? Isn't that just for accessing download mode?
What I cannot access is recovery.

Do you have android SDK tools installed on your PC? If you do you can connect your tablet to your PC via USB and enter in the command prompt, "adb reboot recovery". If it reboots to recovery you can try doing a factory reset.

If you're new to it, it may seem a little complicated at first but really isn't. Here is a good start on XDA that explains a lot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 There are links there for the software. One tip, if you know how to add a folder to your Window's path, add the folder with the sdk files to it. That way you can run the command anywhere on your PC. If not, open the folder with the files, hold the shift key and right click in the folder and choose "open command window here" I was able to fix an ASUS tablet that I almost threw away because of a similar issue. Good luck.

Just a question. If I cannot get the device to boot past the samsung screen, and I can only get into download mode on the device, how am I supposed to get the SDK tools to connect to my device?
Odin will connect, but my computer doesn't recognize the tablet as a storage device or anything. Maybe I'm just not understanding how SDK works. All I'm getting are errors saying no device was found.

I haven't been using ADB for awhile and I forgot the particulars. I just tried ADB rebooting to recovery from download mode and it doesn't work. Did you enable USB debugging in Developers options? If not in setting go to about device, tap on build number about 7 times and it will let you access Developers options, there you can enable USB debugging. You may also need to install drivers for your tablet if you already haven't. I forgot did you say your tablet reboots to download mode or you use your buttons? If you can get to any screen besides download you can try ADB reboot to recovery from there. There is a lot of things you can do like install recoveries if you can only get ADB and fastboot to recognize your tablet. There are other people who are way more knowledgeable with ADB than I am. Maybe you can search around for advice. Sorry if I got your hopes up and it doesn't work but I guess it never hurts to try.
