Flash the RUU your Desire originally came with (assuming you had the foresight to actually check and get it before flashing) and then once back to stock try rooting again

^^ Do this. It solved all my problems that i had with AOSP Roms last time.
update the radio if it dont boot look here
Ok guys, I definitively need your help now.
This morning I woke up, i toke my phone (already on) and I saw that keyboard didn't work anymore, so I rebooted it and appeared the white screen with HTC LOGO, then three or four vibrations and BUM... FREEZED.
The phone is rooted, with custom rom. S-OFF.
The problem is that i can't enter into RECOVERY of the phone anymore, but I can still enter into BOOTLOADER. I tried to do a FACTORY RESET, but doesn't work (the display show again the htc logo with some vibrations before the freeze).
There is some way to format/repair with the help of PC ? Like when i changed my RADIO some weeks ago... or.. I don't know.
Thanks.

That sounds like a fried motherboard. Try flashing a RUU from fastboot usb. If after the flashing the phone keeps not booting, then your motherboard needs to be replaced.
If you need help with the flashing read the guide in my signature to find out how to perform that stuff. :victory:

Ok, installed RUU in my phone, but it's still vibrating 7 times. No other chances I suppose... right?

Check or volume rocker/keys. On the mytouch 4g, when u press volume up and power key while phone is off, it vibrates and the notification light blinks red. So maybe or volume up key is stuck.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Okay, this is really weird. I tried flashing the no red text HBOOT file via RUU and it seemed to get rid of the red text, but now for some reason it goes through the entire boot sequence and boots into the OS while still showing the boot screen. I can get texts and notifications in the background, and it vibrates when I hold down the power button, meaning the power menu is showing up but nothing else will respond. The boot screen on my phone is actually the google bootscreen from the GPE version for some reason, because when I switched to and from the GPE edition it just stayed that way.
This is pretty weird, does anybody know what it could be?
Alright, I tried flashing the stock hboot and the red text is back, but I'm still having the same problem.
Aaand I managed to fix it by flashing the entire stock firmware via RUU. Still though, what was going on here...? Also, the red text is gone too for some reason, even though I never flashed the red text-less version again. Huh.

Red text shows only when your try to use a custom recovery etc etc. Stock boot doesnt even show that screen.

Yeah, I realized that.
Do you know why my phone got stuck with the google bootscreen...? This really seems to be causing quite a bit of trouble, I've had to reflash the firmware several times after having it get stuck in that weird state again. It happened again after I tried to flash the kernel to a custom one, but everything was working fine before I tried flashing that custom HBOOT.

Nope, I downloaded the Telus one, the one for my device - my CID though was set to SuperCID, though I'm not sure how that would make much of a difference. I did switch it back to the Telus one while it was doing that thing, but I didn't reflash the HBOOT while it had the Telus CID.

That is pretty weird, im guessing either the Hboot was corrupted maybe or the version on the file was wrong. One way i would suggest would be to flash a full RUU or a full firmware.zip (1.4Gb + size).

Where would I find the full RUU or full firmware.zip? It was honestly pretty hard to even find the small ~40MB one that I pulled the stock HBOOT from, since Telus isn't an american carrier. I couldn't find any of that stuff on HTC's website either.
Anyway, I never bothered trying to flash the modified HBOOT again since I didn't want to deal with that problem again.
Do you have any idea what's up with the initial boot screen still being stuck as the Google one though?

The MID is: 0P6B16000
Original CID: CID-TELUS001
How would I go about finding the original firmware version?
Thanks for the help!
The base firmware the phone came with. Im not entirely sure if you can just change the CID/MID and flash a RUU from a different region.
But if you are running a custom ROM, it might be different.
Alright sorry for the super late reply, just been busy. I tried looking for the RUU but couldnt really find the executable. The best option would be to look for the proper zips.
Is the problem still there or did you manage to fix it ?

Well, I'm still running into the problem with the red text removal HBOOT not working properly, but honestly I think I can probably just deal with it for now. I still honestly have no idea how to fix the boot splash being the stock google one though. It seems kind of weird that it just got stuck like that. I don't have any urgent need to switch that back to stock for now though.
Thanks a lot anyway!!

Not nearly enough info. Saying things like "cleared everything" and "nothing worked" doesn't help. You need to state specifically and in detail what you have tried, otherwise its difficult to help. More detail is always better.
What ROM did you try to install? Did you try others? What recovery and version?
Normally, if you want to replace the boot.img, just re-flash the current ROM.

Someone responded to you in the other thread and you never said anything back.
You need to outline exactly what you did, and exactly what is happening on your phone. Speak in complete sentences. People can only help you if you explain your situation clearly, because we're not in the room with you.
you are asking for help ? do it in the Q&A section, its made for a reason
and as been said above, you got responded there so keep it there. not reading those helpful hints there yet making a new thread in the wrong section is not correct !

If pressing vol down during a reboot doesn't get you to bootloader, you did it wrong. You either started pressing vol down to late, or let go too early (don't let go until the bootloader screen appears). Just try again, until it works.

Your in the stock recovery pal. Hold down the power and volume keys and you will eventually get some options on the screen. Once they come up use the volume buttons to scroll and power to select. Btw, i suspect you have a htc wildfire S not the htc wildfire. So this would be the wrong forum for you if your phone does not have a trackpad at the bottom of the screen (looks like a circle with a dot in it) then you have the S model.
HTC Wildfire
Thanks for Replying back Its not letting me to run recovery and on the top of it if the phone boots up it take almost 20 minutes to get to the home screen and it hang sup their itself you can't even do anything on it and i am trying to unlock the boot loader to run recovery and install custom rom on it but nothing working out. I do have a trackpad on this mobile and i checked over the internet also and its Model number is A3333. So Please help me what all option that i can use on this mobile right now as i am totally new to Flashing Android Mobiles.

Okay, pull the battery out. Then put it back in after 5 seconds. Hold down volume down, then power and keep both pressed down until a wite screen with some writing comes up. There it should say hboot, a version number and s-on or s-off. What does yours say?

Ah ha! Fantastic whoever else had this phone before you has done most of the hard work and security unlocked the bootloader already. http://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.c...zip?key=kzoSRLwAaSgJsyXiuKJS4A&ts=1431506306 download this and place it onto your sdcard. Reboot into hboot and your hboot should request you to update the recovery. Select yes with volume up. After this you should reboot back into hboot without the sdcard in. Then select recovery from hboot and boot into it.
Once your in recovery you could either:
1. Wipe the data, cache and dalvik cache and then reboot the phone. This will reset the phone and hopefully fix and voot related issues.
2. Wipe the phone entirely and install a new rom. Cyanogenmod 7 is a good lightweight rom. Please look at the development section for all the roms available.
Just one question though, that screen damage looks like bad. Do you know what happened?

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?398dklf1uzss5f6 Updated link.
As I have said I recommend Cyanogenmod 7. Read the thread here Its a custom version but its more recent.
Now your screen, I suspect that those marks are from heat damage. Most likely from whoever else had the phone overclocking it. This could be a telltale sign of hardware damage through excessive use and it may never boot properly. I thought I should mention that.
Well i thats case would like to ask one more thing we will be able to fix it or not or its not worth it.

Depends, this phone is an old model as far as mobile phones are concerned. the cost of a motherboard and new lcd + digitizer could be the same cost as the phone in a used condition.
I work it out as £23.13 as the cheapest you could get the parts but then you would need to do a full tear down of the device in order to replace most of it. I mean basically your only keeping the frame, trackball, camera and some rubber bits.
Cheapest I can find to buy it in the uk is £25 ( with you needing to sim unlock it).
But I would add that you might as well try get cm7 on the device. The only thing it will cost you is time and you never know, the phone might be usable with CM7 on it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
OK bro let me first give a try with the cm7 rom and see if its work and hoping for the best

Sorry, i forgot to mention, the controls for the recovery are different from hboot. Push trackball to select items, power is now the back button.

I tried to install stock rom that i have downloaded from HTC Website and that is not getting installed lets hope CM7 will work i can see the ultrabeam revolutionary Logo on the screen right now its still thinking up
