[Q] Developer Settings File? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I accidentally changed the replicate secondary display setting in dev settings, phone will not boot past the end of the boot ani or past the starting apps pop up.
I have tried wiping cache and dalvik, re flashing the rom, wiping the system partition and re flashing rom, deleting settings and settings provider and reflashing the rom and I also tried to delete data/data/com.android.settings and then reflashing.
Does any one know of a way to reset the dev settings without doing a full wipe?
Please and Thank you guys

Maybe adb? If you figure out which file contains the settings I can send it to you.

Push this file via adb

Sorry I can't share the file as it contains information about my account.
Try deleting the file. All the three in the folder. If you got a stock rom zip then extract it from there.

Epic ei22 stock keeps rebooting.

I haven't been on the Epic since last year (5 months back now). Now my mom has the phone but it's been rebooting since she updated to ei22. Does anyone know how to fix this problem without rooting or is it a known issue with stock ei22?

It was more than likely a bad download and update. My suggestion if you capable would be to flash back to stock ec05. Play with that to assure its ei22's problem only. After that I would suggest you go ahead and update it make sure your on wifi and download it and let it flash again. These reboots are common in ei22 I think more so on stock than custom roms so rooting my be your only answer if you do want to root I can do it for you xD

the ei22 stock has some issues. do you know how to use ODIN to flash back to ec05 stock and then let it reupdate?

reboots are usually related to the kernel . so might just have to have the update reload and then see if it continues to reboot.

Stock Bell unrooted rom

I've searched for a good 15 minutes, I might have let it slip, but I'm really busy and I need to have this rom for tonight. This is a big time request.
I'm sending my cellphone for overheating problems because I'm still under warranty, and I can't find the Canadian rom for the SGS3(BELL). I have the stock + root one, but I can't find a really stock one. My flash trip counter and other things that should be default are not tripped, so it shouldn't pose any problem.
Last little question : Do I flash the stock rom via cwm to keep the counters normal? It should also remove cwm, right?
Thanks, sorry for being a burden.

Also you flash through Odin via computer or mobile Odin on phone. I the it should make your phone stock then get triangleaway to reset the phone status

It's a nice link, tried to go for the download, of course it doesn't work.
I'll google too then. If anybody has a working link, I'll take it.

I'm a jackass. I found it myself.
The only problem is it's in the wrong section, it should be in this one not the verizon one.

[Q] please can someone look out for your boy

Man look out, where do I begin? so short and simple bricked my note 2 freezes on boot up at Samsung Galaxy note II, I can still get it to boot into twrp and download mode, so when I boot into twrp ive noticed that when I go into mount, system is un checked. ive flashed other roms that have worked but it still freezes on boot screen. so this is where it gets tricky for me. I cant get my computer to recognize my phone. . Also I just recently upgraded my desktop to windows 8 and ive done the research and seen about the drivers unsigned or whatever. I go through that process and have the latest ones installed on my computer but still cant get it to recognize my phone. so I have the stock img and odin but without my computer recognizing my phone im pretty much stuck. I was wondering if theres a zip I can flash to unroot or take me back to factory rom or I don't know whatever. If theres anyone out there that can throw a little help my way it would be greatly appreciated and I would bless game however I could. Just a noob trying to get lil insight, appreciate ya
Can you get in to download mode? If so, start up Odin and then plug in the phone......does the upper left turn yellow?

If you can get into recovery and Odin your not bricked.. Don't worry about what I said at first about getting into Odin, if you can get to recovery just flash those two links.

Wrong Device?

Ok, so I got a old GS II from a friend to borrow until I can afford the stupid $150 deductible for my stolen N4. I tried flashing a t989 rom on it and everytime it gives me an incompatibility error in the recovery. I727 roms flash though. This phone says t989 in the battery compartment but everything in the system says I727. The rotation is screwed up so I'm pretty sure it's a t989 but I can't get anything for it to flash. Please help.
Try using Odin to flash Hercules stock 4.1.2 with Odin. That should get you back on track. Then flash a Hercules twrp with Odin and root again.
Done.

Should do a nandroid before doing anything. Just to be safe.

And.... The reason everything days i727 is it has a sky rocket kernel. Usually if using a sky rocket rom... You would flash a t989 kernel after rom.
