Hacked - socialhub for all CSC region

Hi all,
let us discuss all about the social hub hack and issues over here
Big Thanks to lasentenza and ekhalid
for wave 8500
Here is a firmware S8500XXJL2 taken from samfirmware.
Just socialhub activated.
it's a DBT CSC with KOR et DBT region.
I moved up asphalt5 because was to big to de uploaded, takes too many time.

After install with multiloader, install your CSC region: *#272*HHHH# where HHHH is time (for exemple now *#272*1410#, select DBT if you are in germany and install.

why do you need to input the code with the time ? never seen that before ! could this be the cause for my windows live account not working and showing "service not available. try later" ?

And yeah i had a question.... Why is there no sound notification for the social hub IM...?? I mean like it should have an option to beep when someone makes a chat with us..... Dont u think so guys??

i had the same doubt but it vibrate when i receive msg..

How to:
- 1st you have to dump CSC, PFS and APP files with trix
- after dumping go to csc/Customer/your region for example XEF for france and click right modify on customer.xml

The social IM was the worst I've ever seen. Bada it's SO unfinished. Who id*** has made IM? It's just so ridiculous. =S

I can not find the pfs folder using sTune and I do not know how to use Trix. Will this hack work on Bada 1.0?
Edit: I changed the file in app/Osp/Applications/2482tqy39g/Data/ only due to the fact I couldn't find pfs folder, Social Hub did not work. I guess you need to switch them in both places.

This method does not function with stune.
It's only a way to modify firmware before installing with multiloader.

I do not have that folder I am using an unlocked S8500M from Canada running Bada 1.0. Must only be in Bada 1.2.

What does this mean?

Thanx a bunch to ekhalid and lasentenza. Now social hub premium is running perfectly. I can get IM as push message even if IM app is not running. Just like push email works. THis works like magic. Thanx again for this wonderful work.
And on other note, for users who dont know how to use trix, go to first post, there is a full firmware posted by these great guys (ekhalid and lasentenza). Install that using multiloader. Its working for me so it should work for you to.

@AbhishekS: dont bother by it very much.because india as preconfig is not available for this fw.This thing just install network settings like APN (GPRS/3g Setting) on your phone which you dont need as they are recieved by service provider through SMS when you take a dataplan. Just flash your phone using multiloader. And when first time your phone boot up select ENG as your language. Everything is working fine i am using this fw in india without ant problem so you shouldn't have any problems with this.

This issue is so strange
try to flash full 1.2 FW and make sure that your phone is Fully charged before starting that flash
you may face a problem that the phone won't display a battery indicator if that happened leave your phone about an hour on the charger then try flashing it
P.S : if your phone still can go to download mode then it is Semi-bricked not bricked
Please DONOT PANIC there is a solution for this

i flashed my dead phone with a bada 1.2 full frimware
and when i press download key in multiloader it say Error : Dbl Write [0.2s]
and now on my display phone in download mode write :

flash start only with S8500XPKH3 frimware
but with this frimware it can not flash apps_compressed.bin file and after restart my phone stay on samsung logo

dude i think you have no idea how to flash ur phone...........best you take it to service centre before you do more damage and nothing comes on the screen. my sincere advice!

Have you tried with different Multiloader version? For 1.2 I used 5.62, I think...

with different multiloader after i click on the port search . download mode is disable
only with multiloader 5.65 i can click on download after click port search

Hey look the Dbl error is due to the usb driver
Flash the bootloader of 1.2 alone and it will say Dbl error no worry then install kies Drive by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Kies\USB Driver and install it from there
Now try to flash the bootloader and the DBL ERROR Should be gone
After changing the bootloader from 2.0 to 1.2 flash the rest of 1.2 FW files
I hope you can do this alone
If this is too hard for you PM me and i'll chat with you to do step by step

Try on other PC.

Obviously, this problem has got to do with missing drivers.
Try to reinstall all necessary drivers and use the correct full firmware to flash.
Flash first with a working full bada 1.2 firmware. When all is ok, then you can try to flash the bada 2.0 firmware. And note, it's never advisable to mix firmwares randomly.
For more ref, please read this as well.

only multiloader 5.65 detect my phone
in multiloader 5.62 or 5.64 when i click on port search no happen and download key is disable
but in multiloader 5.65 when i click on the port search it show ready lismore

hi lads.i m having the same DBL error thingy. it looks like some older versions of the loaders work better than the most recent one to me so i do agree with yourman there that it has to be something with the drivers. can somebody point me to the right drivers? the ones i have tried so far dont work. or just point me to the right folder inside the skies folder,there s about 20 different folders inside the skies usb drivers folder

i used MultiLoaderX_v5.65.exe (google it) and S8500XPKH3 (bada 2.0)
after that i had no more problems flashing the phone
if it still goes in to download mode,u can save it!!!!
give it a go.....

It is available for new Wave Series (Y,M,3). I think I checked in a research in badablog.ru.
When it is possible to modify apps_compressed, maybe it is possible to implement it.

does it need a special app like trix or something?

You can make it with Wave Remaker or Trix (You are free to choose)
PFS can write/overwrite any file in the internal memory of the phone (Except the parts that are QMD compressed)
In debug folder there is a file where you can list files/folders to delete during PFS file flashing
Samsung use PFS for firmware updating since bada 1.0 without data loss
Doing further research won't be hard as i think

No flashing needed
After some tests (some try and fail attempts), here is a solution that doesn't involve flashing or losing your data. Simply use "STune", and after connecting your phone open "Registry" folder and replace "ShpCSCFeature.ini" with attached one, or you can edit it your self, copy the file on computer and add these two lines:
SHP_CSC_FEATURE_RECORD_VOICE=1
SHP_CSC_FEATURE_MTP_SHOW_HIDDEN_STORAGE=1
or just one of them, depending on what feature you want.
After editing just copy file back, replacing the existing one.
All of this has been tested on my S8500 (S8500XXLA1/S8500OXFLA2), but I believe it should work on any FW.

Thank you but flashing using PFS is without dataloss and the same as stune

I know that, just wanted to give a solution that doesn't involve flashing, since many users are still afraid of using Multiloader.

would you mind explaining about how to make a PFS using wave remarker?

Just edit the file i uploaded
Add files to it or delete files from it
About updating firmwares using PFS....it is like trying to know changes in FW
I use a Program made for PC called WinMerge...Google it
It can compare a lot of files at one click so this is how i compare dumps in FWs

You can dumb it and explore it for better understanding

PFS doesn't work alone in FW updating
You use apps_compressed.bin , New FW bootloader , New amss ,New RC1 , New RC2 , Maybe Newer CSC (Your Edited one in our case) & Your own Made PFS file

I've merged ffs,csc,shpapp in one PFS file
For directly upgrade from 1.2 to bada 2

Windows 10 mobile for Lumia 630?

Hello,
i know that Redstone won´t work on that device, but i have been told that some previouse versions of Windows 10 mobile worked on it. Can you please give me some advice on how i can get a compatible version ?
Windows Insider App is already installed and i joined the fast ring. However, no updates are shown if i try to update in settings.....

At this time there's no way longer presents for your phone .

I am just a guy who like flashing roms. I am not sure, it may not. ( Mine is a Dual-SIM module ,yours is of single SIM )

Just tried to flash those files on my RM-976. Unfortunately the update stops with ERROR 0x800b0100.
Seems that the windows security .dll files are not properly registered.

Do i have to unlock the phone or something else before trying to flash ?

iutool doesn't need anything else to be done before pulling update files to the phone

"TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE" means what? Maybe someone knows it.

I am getting 0x801882c1 error code while installing updates any idea about this? Error code specifies 0x801882C1 E_CABAPI_NOT_CABINET BTS_E_PER_APP_REQUEST_LIMIT_REACHED not really sure what that means. Downloaded all files twice and tried.

Solved this by deleting extra Desktop.ini file. How getting same error as above 0x800b0100.

Readstone can be run on Lumia 630 (512MB RAM) ! The update packages( cab files) can be downloaded from catalog.update.microsoft.com ( search your phone carrier name, like mine: 000-HK ), queue by time ,add 14343 to bucket and download .( other items for 10586 and erlier version; there SHOULD HAVE the links for upgrading from wp8.1 to 10586.107 ). If you can not click to download , view the poped-up webpage's source then copy and sort the download links by yourself.
You only need to download the files similar to the files you grabbed when updating 10586.107 to 10586.545. OR similar to the files in my attachment. It seems that difference to OS language packages can be ignored.
*.cbs_*.cab files are for FULL update, maybe they can be used on 10586.545 ; *.cbsu_*.cab files must can be used on 10586.545. They CANNOT be used at the same time, I update failed once due to this.
Replace IME and Speech data packages with yours.
Use iutool.exe to push cab files to your phone as usual.
If you update failed and your downloaded files are not broken, try to replace thoes files which their name start with or like:
microsoft.devicelayout_qc8x26_16k.mainos.cbs_
microsoft.soc_qc8x26_16k.mainos.cbs_
for other defination, replace this file: microsoft.prerelease_protected.mainos_res_480x800.cbs_*.cab .I am not sure if it can be used on Lumia 630.

Sorry, I didn't find either(Maybe I am just too excited ). But there must be a way! A guy from my country ( China ) just capture a lot of update cabs ( from wp8.1 to w10m ) this month. But not include your phone. He must used an other way.

Seems it's command issue .
iutool -v -p C:\Update\*
this is the exact command for when you put update files in c:\Update folder , Do not forget \* it means install anything presents in this path .

No difference witch version are you using .
and surely you don't have to extract cabs . It the thing that will phone do on prepairing for installation

working with some tools in linux (binwalk... ect ) but still no luck if some one can mod this firmware pls let me know i will send the link ... cuss it's long way to go learn Reverse Engineering :silly:
