Hi guys, my wife is using the note 2 with stock rom. It has the most peculiar problem.. The ringtone volume will be adjusted lower when the battery is fully charged. I.e after the phone is plugged out from the charger fully charged, the volume gets adjusted
Anyone has this problem before? It sounds like a rom issue but maybe it's some special feature that note 2 provides..

Sounds like a perfectly acceptable answer but I'm looking for a more high tech response.. Haha..

I recently bought a GSM international unlocked Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I bought this phone for pretty cheap because the volume button is missing (flex cable is still in there). I have searched all over amazon and eBay but I can't seem to find the actual button (I can only find the flex cable). Can someone please point me to where I can buy this button? Secondly the power button doesn't function properly. The person I bought it from told me this problem and showed it to me, but before I bought it I tried it and it turned on perfectly fine. I got home and tried restarting it but it no longer turns on (battery is charged). What can I do to fix this?
Thank you in advance.
Well I have access to globalpartsdirect.com and they have every part of Every phone....

I wasn't able to find it on their website. The only part they have available for the nexus is the battery
Buy a whole housing.

pretty cheap.
Awesome. Thanks! Any idea on the power button issue?

No idea! Lol, I have the same problem with my power button. In for answers!
Maybe after I replace the housing it will work.
I replaced the housing on the nexus but the power problem is still there. I removed the battery and put connected the phone to USB and it shows charging and then goes blank again after 10 seconds. When I put the battery in it does not turn on at all (the battery is charged). I have tried this with different batteries as I have 2 other galaxy nexus phones, but still no luck. Can anyone help? I'd really like to to get this working so I can get rid of my Sensation. The picture is taken without any battery in the phone.

Sounds to me like it isn't getting the memo to turn on... maybe the power switch is bad or something. I haven't taken mine apart so I dunno but you might be able to try shorting some pins to mimic the switch and see if it works. Can't tell ya what or where though.
*brohoof*
So should I try replacing the power button flex cable?

I got my galaxy note 2 and charged it to 100%, when it reached 100% the charger popped out, i was wondering if this is a new feature or due to something entirely different like heat expension

That's a loose MicroUSB jack
And no, it really is a bug, not a feature
Can't tell if serious

Noticed my note 2 charger giving out a soft buzzing sound while charging. Is that normal?

Actually it is NOT at all normal. I own 3 samsung products: Galaxy s3, Tab 7.0plus and Note2. All come with charger and only the Note 2 charger is letting out the buzzing/hissing sound. It's especially loud at night. I called the service center and the girl immediately asked if I am having the white one. She said that this problem has been reported a few times (by Note2 owners) and I was told to wait for a call from the tech side. Not sure what the outcome will be. Hopefully I get a replacement.
Yes, it is getting louder and frankly very irritating. I better get it changed too.
Mine too is loose..not sure why..but if compare to note 1, it is really loose and easy popup if i excidently touch the cable..

LOL somehow this thread cracked me up inside.
OP should treat this as a nice feature and test if it is consistent, i.e., try it couple more times and see if it is indeed a *feature rather than *accident. If it's a feature, it's a feature that I don't mind having on my phone
Certainly not a feature, but I do find it annoying how easy it is to knock the cable out of the socket when it's charging. The microUSB doesn't seem to lock in place like it does with other phones.
I charge my white GN2 on my bedside table each night and never heard any buzzing from it, either.
just got a note 2 not long ago and i found out that the volume and power button seems abit loose...
is it normal?works fine though,i just wanna know if its just mine or note 2 is build that way...

I've mine for more than a month. The buttons are slightly loose. I've also checked demo units in Samsung stores and they are the same.
S3 buttons are solid.

I'm on 4.2.1 with the Paranoid Android Rom (version 3.0).
Today while writing to a friend in WhatsApp suddenly the screen went black.
Now I'm not able to turn it on anymore. It doesn't work with and without connected charger.
What are my options to try before sending it in?
Is my warranty void due to the fact that I've got PA installed and the device rooted?
Bend tab up about middle ways up in the charging port that is why I swapped my gnex for a sg3 I didn't like having to do that every other day

Excuse me! I'm not a native English speaker and can't understand what I am supposed to do. Can you explain it with other words.

Where you plug your charger there is a small tab take a tooth pick, small knife , or something like that I used a small flathead from my phone kit and push the tab up about in the middle towards the led light (front of phone) no more than middle ways and that will give your phone a charge you most likely had a false charge like I did and other people from what u have heard

Please pull the battery before starting to bend! Put it back in and see if you can get anything. Maybe try a key combo to boot, like volume up+down+power.
Coming from Note 8, this Note 10+ seems to have little or no vibration. Is there a way to increase the vibration when the phone is on vibrate?

Settings>sound and vibration>vibration intensity
I will say, however, I had to return mine and get a new device as I experienced the same issue and then it stopped working altogether.

Also someone showed me a Samsung menu by dialing *#0*# and you can test your vibration there. It should feel pretty strong
Yours must be defective, when mine goes off in my pocket I tend to jump. When it goes off on my desk, it very loud.
