Hello Everyone
I made a bootanimation from my Galaxy S II ...
I think this bootanimation is perfect for Xperia S, because bootanimation form a letter S
Changelog :
- bootanimation with sound
- smooth bootanimation (no lag)
- name Xperia (no Galaxy S II)
Examples from my Galaxy S II

This one is great ,really liked it. Can it be bigger maybe? It is too small and not full sized.
Thank you
Edit: Also I can't hear the sound.
That looks awesome dude!
Works as expected of course, with sound!
Thanks
something decent and works without any problem.... great work thanks :good::good:
but have to agree with david on the size
thanks for this. some adjustments on the size and this will be perfect.
Also, i have a question is the sound is for the galaxy or for the xperia? cant recognize.
I changed the resolution to 720x1280, and the size is now about 10 MB

yup custom kernel(siyah that support custom boot animations),also there's a small trick to use custom zip format boot animations in s3 even with stock kernel
backup & then delete file /system/bin/samsungani
then rename system/bin/bootanimation to system/bin/samsungani and now zip format boot animations works
in jb roms this works perfectly,on ics roms this will only work with boot animations that doesn't have a loop counter set(aka only single loop and done like this p 1 0 part0 ) otherwise it boot loops in ics roms
if you can please ^_^

hey dude, any pic or something?
Put the link in the first post..
Unzip and add this Sound Forge processed PowerOn.wav file to System/media for the complete PC Boot experience.
I really find this fun and nice but the distorting effect of Siyah Kernel text is a bit overused i think. and you should use a smaller font for "by Gokhan Moral"
and before i use this, any ways of backuping original one?
Looks nice!
But if you allow, I think that the main text should be Galaxy SII and below the "Siyah kernel" and in small letters "by GohkanMoral".
Those are the only changes that I would make.

You are free to make your own version, this is a homage to Gokhan so I used this fontsize.
Overused? Its just round left and back again... o.o also there are no other effects or animations so i dont see this as overused.. o.o
But you can always open the bootanimation zip and delete the pictures that represent the second distorting if you want ^^
No need to backup original, the kernel looks for bootanimation.zip and if none exists it will play the original, so you just need to delete the bootanimation.zip and the default will play.

Naa i wanted to emphasize that this kernel is by Gokhan, i like the sizes and proportions, in the first version there was no "for Samsung Galaxy SII" at all...
I added that later on.

Enjoy.

"Original Sound CWM.zip" will restore the startup sound without changing the bootanimation and "Bootup Revert CWM.zip" will restore defaults and is crosscompatible to both (and also most other) bootanimations.
edit: Glad you like it
The new logo was way to neat looking to not make an animation of it ^^

so we should flash the bootanimation and after that the soun.zip? correct?
@TecQuality: Doesn't matter, they won't interfere each other
You can also use the "Original Sound" after every other bootanimation.zip to restore default sound without deleting the bootanimation ^^
Nice... The new one looks great

First, thank you for your great job.
So, it's exactly what i would have like.(Noob question : ) Can i do it myself by cuting the part 2 of "PC_SiyahKernel_bootanimation_withSound_CWM.zip" and putting instead "Siyah New Logo NoSound.zip" ??? Sorry but i haven't read anything for the moment about bootanimation. If you "can" do it, extended sound on the Logo can be Cool also.
I understand that you're not here to respond to wishes of everybody, so good continuation.

UPDATE - More Ripped Bootanimation optimized for MDPI (320 * 480) CWM FLASHABLE
well, hello guys, this is my first thread and my first try
what i do here is making a simple flashable bootanimation .zip files, optimized for MDPI devices.
> no need for copy in /system/media and altering permissions :good: because i've found a lot of bootanim that you have to put it manually.
> optimized for MDPI screen :good:
> separated small file and flexible, you don't have to install a new rom and you can install it whether in stock rom, cm7, or cm9. :good:
> bored? just switch to another boot animation, simply via cwm or px recovery :good:

INSTALLATION
1. Download the attached ZIP and copy to the root of your SD card.
2. Reboot into Recovery (CWM or PX tested).
3. Choose "Flash zip from sdcard."
4. Choose the "pawnboy_ICSBOOT.zip" and let it do its thing.
5. Once it's complete, reboot your phone and you're done.
For more detailed view you can use themechooser (i.e. AChep's ICS theme combined with nexus bootanimation and nexus boot sound (which i have one)
and edit your build.prop (phone model, android version, build display etc.)

1) ICS Nexus Boot Animation
this is a stock boot animation ripped from ICS, and converted to MDPI resolution (320 * 480) and i made the flashable zip file (just flash with cwm or px recovery)
works nice on my ace tested with stock, cm7 & cm9
download it here : http://www.mediafire.com/?k7yivzb5k766v6i 842 Downloads to date

attractive illumination, with on & off boot animation. hefty file

4) Galaxy SIII Boot Animation
not very different from above.

Some Custom Kernels replace the original Bootanimation because Custom Bootanimation Support. So here is the Original as a Encoded Zip-Version.
THIS IS THE FINAL LAGFREE-VERSION FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S2.
if you want to make it smoother, just read this . but i have modified the desc.txt and for me it looks smoother than the preview below
perherps it is necessary to rename in sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
1. look in your folder /system/media for sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip
2. note permissions
3. replace with new zip and set noted permissions
4. be happy.

Slow FPS/animation on Resurrection Remix 2.5.3
Thanks for this.. I really prefer the Samsung Stock Boot animation and i'm glad somebody took the time to put this together.
However, the animation doesn't seem to be smooth enough on my S2.. it frames quite a bit/kinda laggy! I tried changing the FPS in desc.txt to higher than 30.. tried 40 & even 60 and even tried reducing to 24 but doesnt seem to take effect.. i did nor see any noticeable difference in the framerate/smoothness. I did also ensure i was replacing the right file in /system/media.
Any suggestions?
Im running Resurrection Remix 2.5.3 (FLUXI kernel.. if that helps).

Improvement of bootanimation !
Hello,
many many thanks texten !
Since I switched to CM 9 I was annoyed not to have the stock SGS2 animation (which is an .qmg file)
With your boot animation I had the same issue of lagging. I think it's because the zip is 9 MB (too heavy).
So I extracted your zip and I convert every image from .png to .jpg (quality 85), now the zip is 2.5 MB and the boot animation is more fluid !!
Here is the new zip (sorry I can't post links for the moment ) :
Code:
www.multiupload.nl/IH867M2SV1
Hope this will be useful for somebody !
@texten
Feel free to relink this zip in your first post !

You should have done a backup of your previous boot animation
Anyways, Get the stock firmware zip file and extract the boot animation from it.
