I recently been playing around with different ROMS and I was using Xylon Rom earlier but I was having some issues. I am now on Purity, which is great and would be better if there's a way to make it so that when I pull down from the left I get the notifications menu and when I pull down from the right I get the quick settings menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know on SlimBean its a setting in the quick panel settings so you might want to try there.
Its also in CM 10.1, but I don't know if that helps you much. CM has the option to pull down quick settings on the right or left side of the status bar. I personally prefer when it pulls down quick settings if there aren't any notifications, regardless of which side you swipe down on. But that's just my 2 cents........

I don't know if this is possible, but i think it would be awesome to have an option to hide the icons for on going notifications from the top notification bar. It would keep it in the pull down though. If it could force all the ongoing notifications to the bottom it would be even better.
I hope this made sense to you guys.....I think it would be awesome to include in the cyanogen options menu (if it were in cyanogen mod, which I hope someday it will be).
Hide / Combine Ongoing Notifications

I agree!
I want a way to hide ongoing notifications but NOT disable them (Tasker, Juice Defender, Llama). OR, I would LOVE to be able to still have access to them. For example, Power Toggles allows us to put almost anything as a toggle in the notification pane. Custom images etc.
Can we just use this method to combine the ongoing notifications? This way they are still active, we can still see them, but they are not taking up valuable space. Alternatively, let's push them to the bottom!
I'm sure i'm missing a little checkbox somewhere in settings, but this is driving me crazy. Every time i use the power control in the notification pulldown (CM 6.1.1 w/cyanoginger 1.1) the pulldown closes automatically. I use these constantly when i'm going to work (to toggle lockscreen, volume, wifi, etc) and having to re open it after each toggle is a pain.
Anyone have an idea of what setting i'm overlooking?

ps- yes i used search looked through several pages and didnt see anything so i apologize in advance if i missed it. Thanks in advance for being courteous.

Yes there is a setting go to settings, cyanogenmod settings, user interface, and I'm pretty sure if you scroll down it let's you pick the widget buttons as well as check whether the notification bar closes after toggle.

Awesome, found it. I'll bet i've looked over that screen 20 times haha. if it would have been a snake, it would have bit me. thanks bro
Any way to do this on the EVO? Any ROMs or mods/.zips that enable this? I did a search and all I could find was info about Galaxy S phones where apparently this feature is stock.
Basically you just drag your finger along the notification bar to change the screen brightness, left for dimmer, right for brighter. This would be awesome to enable on the EVO, but as far as I can tell it hasn't been implemented.
Myn's RLS5.
Yes.
Settings > CM Settings > Interface > Notification Power Widget
Scroll down to toggle brightness.
Edit: You should be able to find a similar config on myn's.
Can't find a similar option on Myn's... I'll give CM another shot at some point, but it'd be sweet to have this on a Sense ROM.
for CM, it's more a toggle button than a scrolling thing.. but i use it often, and you can change the setting on how it toggles.
overall, pleased.
you could by creating a widget.txt file then rearranging what you would prefer on the pcw (up to 6 options) and placing it in a file on sd, then from your apps theres should be a pcw app that you can adjust the brightness settings.

edit: i read past the part about sliding to adjust..i haven't seen any yet.
theres this app i used to use called quick settings (from market) from settings allow it to be accessed from pull down, hit it and have brightness (and others) as an option.

Quick settings is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanx x100!
This would be a killer feature to include on a future AOSP build. The only ROM I've used that has a feature like this is MIUI, which happens to be amazing.
The brightness slider, as well as many other toggles, are found in the notifications menu.
It took me some time to get used to the lack of an app drawer, but I quickly got over it.

So I got my Jelly Bean OTA and start to use the phone normally (before I flashed the Google I/O build and used it in the waiting status for official one) and have discovered that Google has put me into dilemma which I didn't care about before. It is because of the new Interactive notification system in Jelly Bean. I like it so much as I can response to notifications much faster. However, I am also used to Notification toggles and have discovered that with Notification toggle I must sacrifice the interactive notification and vice versa as Notification toggle is always on the top of the notification list...Do any of you know about any solution to have both??? Thanks in advance...
Your only two options as far as I can see is 1) Wait for a (possible) workaround from the developer of the toggles or 2) root the device and install a custom rom which will have the toggles built in to the actual notification bar, not as a 'notification'
Edit: You can still expand other notifications with a two finger swipe down gesture, it just wont be open by default when you pull down the notification bar.

Thanks a lot for info, I didn't know about it. So I can have both now . Once again thanks...
Hello everyone!
Although this is my first post, some of you may (highly unlikely) remember me as "WaterMan" , I created a couple of ROMs way back in the HTC Magic days
However, I am here to ask some questions about Beanstalk running on my SGS3. It is Build 4.3.07 running JB 4.3
So far this ROM runs great and I love it. However there are a couple of quirks I wanted to work out
1) Is it possible that when I pull down the notification panel, it will show me my notifications immediately rather than the "Profile" panel? I find it extremely annoying that when I pull down the panel, it opens up those toggles and I have to switch to notification view every time, a real time-killer
*Edit* Answered: Apparently pulling the notification panel down from the LEFT side opens notifications, while pulling it down from the RIGHT side opens the toggles. Still cannot figure out how to edit which toggles are shown, if possible
2) Is it possible / how can I add or remove toggles from the pull-down panel?
3) I am having issues with signal dropping randomly, is there any way to fix this?
and finally 4) How can I remove some native applications? I used titanium backup but it does not seem to work
Thank you all! Other members, please feel free to ask questions and answer them relating to BeanStalk's latest build!
