Multi-View Mod on Stock Rooted i317m - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Just got my i317M (on Rogers) a couple of days ago. I'm looking for the Multi-View function and have seen a number of custom Roms which provide this functionality. However, I was wondering if I was simply to root for now (and stay on stock), can I flash a mod to enable multi view?
Thanks
Shiraz

multi-window in Canada

Anybody know when the multi-window functionality will come to Canada (specificially Rogers)?
Thanks.
My convo with Rogers twitter, sadly no date, but since he "looked" into it, they at least confirmed it is coming
(oh well im under 10 posts so i cannot add my SS of the convo with Rogers support, but @Roger_Chris on twitter confirmed "Announced that it's coming over the air in an update "soon" by the manufacturer.")
At least that means Rogers isn't controlling the update, so we should get it much soon than if they were
Samsung said very soon on Twitter

If you root your phone I believe there is a Rom for this function already.

If your phone is already rooted this rom is base on Rogers. Everything works and multiview works flawlessly.

[Q]CRT off

Hi, everyone!
I was just wondering if there is a way that I can get CRT off animation for a stock rooted rom? I really want to keep stock because of the S-Pen features. Plus, the fact that risking a bad IMEI after flashing a custom rom makes me cringe.
I am with the stock Wind 4.1.2 T889v, rooted.

Its that effect that's in nexus devices. It's the one that makes it look like you just turned off your old school TV.

Not sure if this will work, but worth a try. Nandroid first of course.

You'll need a few edits to services.jar and android.policy.jar, PLUS you need a kernel that supports it - on the stock kernel the effect is intermittent at best.
The man has spoken.

I don't understand why this isn't standard on AOSP and non AOSP ROMs alike. Is Samsung going out of its way to remove this?

[Q] Bought SII with unstable ROM

Hi everyone!
After not being around for a while since my nexus 4 died I bought a samsung galaxy SII (SGH-T989) used.
The phone is rooted (I never rooted any phone before) and it has a 4.2.2 ROM that is unstable in my opinion. Apps continuously stop responding.
Im familiar using the recovery and changing roms.
So I need to know what ROM could I install in the phone? (4.2.2)

Do you prefer stock roms or aosp/aokp work

I would just ODIN back to stock 4.1.2 if you don't want a phone with root. There are plenty of stickies and threads about how to do this within the development section.

Hi im new to this and was wondering if its possible to flash i9500 roms on tmobile s4

No, if you try to flash any i9500 rom on a tmobile phone you will end up with a brick. (non-usable phone)
However you can flash any of the i9505 roms which are very simular to the i9500 roms.
The only thing you will be missing by flashing a i9505 rom is the wifi calling feature in the Tmobile m919 S4 roms.
The i9505 roms all come with call recording which is not a stock feature of the m919 Tmobile phones.
Good luck!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Really appreciate it.
