[Q]CRT off - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi, everyone!
I was just wondering if there is a way that I can get CRT off animation for a stock rooted rom? I really want to keep stock because of the S-Pen features. Plus, the fact that risking a bad IMEI after flashing a custom rom makes me cringe.
I am with the stock Wind 4.1.2 T889v, rooted.

Its that effect that's in nexus devices. It's the one that makes it look like you just turned off your old school TV.

Not sure if this will work, but worth a try. Nandroid first of course.

You'll need a few edits to services.jar and android.policy.jar, PLUS you need a kernel that supports it - on the stock kernel the effect is intermittent at best.

The man has spoken.

I don't understand why this isn't standard on AOSP and non AOSP ROMs alike. Is Samsung going out of its way to remove this?

CM9 activation

I sold my daughters epic 4G to someone on Craiglist with cm9 installed. Sprint can't provision the phone because it has a custom rom. Is there another way besides me putting stock rom back on the phone then activating then putting cm9 back on the phone? Thanks for the help.

The Sprint activation bloatware is not on the AOSP ROMs and they are keyed to Touchwiz.

GSIII Ripple Lock screen with different rom

I was looking for a way to keep the ripple screen with another rom that it doesn't come with. Is there a way to keep it when flashing another rom? Maybe a cwm zip of it I can flash after I flash the new rom?

If you are talking about an AOSP ROM then it's not going to happen because it needs TouchWiz framework to work.

I think you are wrong, but it also might be that I do not understand this thing. Just check out the photos below.
I had multi window before I had rooted my note2, from factory. I haven't updated my phone since due to some reasons too big to explain here. Oh, and I am still on stock ROM, and 4.1.1 with LJ3

Just flash the latest stock ROM using Odin.
OTA updates are highly unreliable. As the sds bug has been fixed for 4.1.2, do it without delay.

Dll4 didn't. flash dll7 or ubdma3 or xxdma5 or xxdma6 or ubdll3 or xxdmb2.
Ubdma3 has the highest change list but all of the list have sds and exynos bug fixed.

Good choices for touchwiz ROMs or anyway to get s3 stock motions on cyanogenmod

So I used cyanogenmod Nightly and i miss many of the motions provided through touchwiz, but hate the lag in it, I'll rather find a workaround.
So in your opinion
Best choices on touchwiz based roms
Or
Are there any zips I can flash to get motions?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to find all of 4.2.x features on TW Roms. But, a lot of TW Roms have similar features. I know that some of the more popular TW Roms here in the d2spr section are (in no particular order):
MOAR (Mother Of All Roms)
The People's Rom (TPR)
Goodness Reborn
JellyBomb
Wicked Sensations
Honestly, you can stroll through the Sprint Galaxy S III Android Development Section and if you see an "MB1" or "MC3" or "TW" in the title, you can check it out. Most are really good and have options for excellent battery life.
I personally enjoy AOSP 4.2.2 Roms (Currently on Liquidsmooth v2.2) and the extra features of TW (MultiWindow, motions, etc) aren't enough to keep me there. But I fully understand that my experience does not encompass everyone's preferences, so I keep my eye on the TW Roms and will flash them every once in a while to see what's what.
Try the peoples rom
