Poweramp on CM10 - HTC One V

Hi guys i was wondering if any of you use poweramp on CM10 roms because i've tried them on PROVISION and just plain CM10 but on both roms the force close . I'm starting to think it was PmR's xloud so i unpimed but poweramp is still force closing .

I use PowerAmp since 3 months with the CM 10 and et this time with the last Hellboy kernel without any FC.
Everything is rigth. No problem.

Do you have any audio mod like Xloud?

No. Work fine like this.

Are any of the ICS ROMs daily driver ready?

I've read through all of the individual ROM threads, as well as any question threads, and it seems like none of them are quite ready.
I run CM 7.2 with essentially no modifications, for reference. S-off, CWM 3.0.0.8.
Thanks in advance for your input.

What are you missing from them to be a daily driver? I've had zero issues on my CM9 build and you can find two options in the development thread that are extremely stable.
The only thing not working with ICS is the stock camcorder to my knowledge, but third party apps still work if you need it.

I can't get mlb at bat to play mlb.tv on both DInc and Nook Color running CM9. Not a location issues, it tries but says Error-Can not play video. All other video seems to work.
Can't see any other issues with CM9, runs ok but maybe a little slower than CM7.
Depends what your standards for a daily driver are. If you mean a phone you can use to make calls, use some apps, without a lot of hassle, then yeah, they're daily drivers. If you want perfection, no glitches or bugs ever, then no.
The camcorder is the biggest issue for me (I was running Evervolv, but they're all built on the same base). Yeah, the camcorder kind of works, but playback is broken, and it's not nearly as smooth as stock. Also, I find that after a while (a day or two), things just start to get laggy. Not awful, but it doesn't fly like it does on stock. The graphics (especially the home screens and the app drawer) are actually way smoother on ICS than on stock, but it takes longer to actually get your apps opened and running. I'm currently rockin' Ice Cream Senseless with Holo Launcher. ( I also spent some time using Touch of Blue, I liked it a lot, but the 2am reboots kept making me miss my alarm clock and be late for work...) My current setup gives me 95% of what I liked about ICS, and it's very snappy and extremely stable. No doubt I'll be back to craving Ice Cream Sandwich (or Jelly Bean - lol) in another week or so, but I always end up coming back to this one.
Smoothness is the biggest issue, IMO.

I used CM a9 build before going to the SIII and it worked the best for me. Was using Evervolv for a while, but that soon became very unstable.

I ran drk.hd's CM a9 for a while and it worked well except for the known video camera issue. The only reason I changed is because I got flash happy.
I went to mamarley's CM9 w/linearo and it is running very smooth (still no stock video camera). Although, I had to use the ics incredikernel w/HWA because mamarley's kernel was not communicating with my touch screen.

I been on this rom for a bit. No major complaints. No CC and voice search will crash using navigation. But very smooth overall. Daily driver worthy for sure.

I've been using the Linaro optimized CM9 ROM with the included Mamarley kernel.
The only issue I've run into is a problem with the bluetooth connecting to my car and not being able to play the call audio through the car speakers. I "think" they're working on a fix for it.
EDIT: SUPER sorry wrong forum

is your's a amoled or slcd? I ended up having to do the same thing and I am just curious.
I've been on MIUI v4 since May and it's been very solid with the exception that Netflix doesn't work for me. It plays about 2 seconds of sound (no video) and then just a black screen. Going forward or backward in the video doesn't do anything to help it pick back up. MIUI GB worked great with Netflix previous to the ICS build. I thought maybe it was HWA related, but I've tried a few different kernels and haven't had any luck. Youtube plays just fine.
I am going to flash cm9 in a moment to see if Netflix works there.
edit: Flashed cm9 -- still the same issue with Netflix. Plays sound for about 2 seconds, then stops. Anyone else with this problem?

I think it's a problem related to the camcorder not working. I'm no Android programmer, but I'd bet it's because of a codec issue. Shame that barely any ROMs support a working camcorder.
Have you tried Evervolv 2.2.0p3? I hear that ROM has a working camcorder, but haven't tested it myself.
drk.hd CM9a9 with Chad/Tiny Incredikernel HWA
Working great as a daily driver, camcorder/netflix/youtube (occasionally) dont work.
Im very happy with it otherwise.

Kernel panic, youtube CM9

I don't know what is the source of the problem, but i advise you to downgrade or not use youtube in CM9. Kernel Panics can result in serious damage, and that's why i'm considering make a CM9 version of Renascence Series.
BUT CM9 is just soo fast, just that youtube thing bugs me as hell
mabye it is not kernel panic, just the video freezes i get flashing SW lights and have to pull out the battery. has anyone got the same problem?
I had the same problem. And I too used to pull out my battery. If you want fast and bugfree ROM you might try my Genesis or use MiniCM7.
ok ill give it a shot

Lagging issues after awhile

Hey guys, after flashing the OneOfAKind ROM a few months ago, i start to have lag and very slow performance lately mostly on Facebook, YouTube and opening of apps like WhatsApp taking a hell lot of time. In my lame and stupid 10 years of education, ICS roms in this device is stable rite? Though at times, seeing new CM10 builds is making me more tempted to flash 4.1.2 ROMS but i know perfomance will degrade more faster then those in CM9 based roms. Back to the ICS perfomance, my storage space is now critically low even after i cleaned caches and i didn't install any new apps lately too. What on this planet has happened here? :what:

Well I´m not sure why it´s lagging for you, so I just can guess this could have something to do with your media and the media scanner bug in ICS. When I was using CM9 I was aware of this bug and disabled media scanner. To scan for new media I scanned the dievice manualy. After this I used CM10 because there this got fixed by Google and Arco also added the fix into it.
CM10 isn´t that much slower than CM9 and it consumes a bit less RAM. I only sometimes noticed little lags while scrolling, but they were ok for me. There is just one disadvantage when using CM10 toghether with Whatsapp. It doesn´t support all audio types used by whatsapp. So when getting some voice messages from an Iphone you need an external player to get them played.
So now I would suggest to either try CM10.1 or even CM10.2.

Wowzers, i did installed CM10.1 before u even mentioned and honestly, I've been missing out so much that the latest CM10.1 build feels like running ICS but with more features. MonsterV14 was my CM10.1 ROM i chose though, I'm not rly sure whether its fully updated Since I'm abit of a gamer, i tried a few arcade games to PSX emulators and so far little stuttering. Can't say very liquidsmooth though cos' lags are present here and there but rly won't affect the whole performance anyway. So far, I'm happy i made the upgrade and i probably going to do a review of Monster V15 rom soon hehe

Sound problem

Hello,
I've got recently this phone and I kind of like it. The only reason was the qwerty keyboard.
The biggest problem I have with this phone is the sound. Every messenger app (skype, yahoo, viber etc) has the same problem. The receiving sound is slow and ununderstandable.
The current ROM installed CM 10.1 Kernel 3.1.10 android 4.2.2
I am a newbie in installing ROMs, but if I could I'd go straight to android 2.3.5
CM 10.1 is very laggy, with lots of problems (missing calls, GPS connectivity, maps, performance etc).
Anyone had this problem and solved it?
Thank you
P.s. I searched in the forum about this issue, but didn't have much luck.
Whos CM 10.1 are you using? Also CM 10.1 is no longer being updated,I suggest you use CM 10.2 by Bubor or a 4.3+ ROM
If you need more help please post back
The sound issue is with voice recording, any action with VoIP, dictaphone, voice dialing etc. will make sound playback distorted for some time. This issue exist in any ROM after stock ICS, so if this is very important for you, you'd better stay with stock. Here's the link: Stock UCLJ3.
If you wish a newer ROM, such as CM 10.1.3 or CM 11, there is workaround with VoIP sound called Tinyalsa stack, but it broke GSM call receiving sound. You can look here.
Also, I should say that CM 10.1.3 and CM 11 I linked have almost no issues beside this VoIP. GPS working great, no missing calls, no reboots, great performance and no battery draining. But I recommend to try and find what will suit you best.

Hello,
Yes I use skype calling a lot, I need this feature working. So you are suggesting me to install the android 4 stock version from samsung, but from what I red, there is an issue with the qwerty keyboard light. If this is true, it confirms my first idea to go with android 2.3.5
Thank you for your replies!
Samsung fixed the keyboard issue and a lot of other stuff in their 2nd release of stock ice. If you see those types of complaints, they are from the first revision.
I'm running stock and the only two issues I have is general UI laggieness (which is expected since its stock with bloat and not really optimized, also running on an older phone with no project butter). Along with messaging notifications failing to make any noise at random. I'll get a new text message and the screen will light up, but doesn't viberate or make a sound at random. Incoming calls still ring just fine though.
Other than those two issues (lag really isn't an issue for me), stock works just fine for me.

Yes, I recommend to install stock 4.0.4, it's the best way I know to have working GSM and Skype calling at the same time without needing to switch alsas stacks. j.asir here using new CM with tinyalsa fix and terminal shortcut - that's a bit inconvenient, but at this time there's no better way to go if you wish to have newest android and skype calls.
I newer tried 2.3.5 ROM on this phone, so I can't comment anything about it. If you try vanilla 2.3.5, please write about the results!

Hi @Makshow, have you considered using a 2.3.5 ROM? I have considered the possibility of doing so as I've heard that our device running GB has no issues at all... or so I've heard, but I honestly haven't had the time to test it. I was considering the possibility of using Inception (Back in black), but the download links are not available. If my Glide would work smooth and with no issues with GB I'd be glad to use it. If you decide to go for a GB ROM could you please provide me with some feedback? I would really appreciate it if you do so. I am not so cool with using ICS as stock is very battery & RAM consuming. And I was not so convinced using Litekernel or literom. Literom is really cool, but it has some issues and glitches that I found very disturbing. If you do go for GB please provide me with some feedback :highfive: Regards
I got this phone with new ROM already installed, so I won't try flashing 2.3.5 GB Android, I have no experience with this at all. Sorry. And I doubt that there weren't any issue with GB, one can search older posts in these forums and see that there were many bugs and bloat and troubles.
As for working download link for INC3PTION 2.3.5 ROM, there is one from Androide3 here. You can try it.

its a third party app which you can use.. its very easy to use and one time setup only
just get any kitkat rom..

try it out and i would suggest omnirom to you if u prefer simplicity.

Finally I did it!
Finally I did it!
Ok, it was very easy and I feel kind of stupid  but as for the first time I'm still proud.
The major problem I couldn't install the stock rom was because of twrp. I had a old version, 2.4 I believe.
I managed to over install cwm v 6.whatever which was compatible with i927 and re-tried to install the stock rom and IT WORKED!
The stock rom is great! the phone is much much much quicker than with cm10.2. All features work! skype calls, voice recording, map, camera rotation, etc. Will see if I will lose any missed call.
The problem, I'm facing now is the sd card and internal memory which were inverted during cm10.2, but I am sorting things out.
I'm a bit disappointed that I lost all the installed apps with cm10.2. and I can not re-install them again. I have only the option to update it which won't work. Any idea?

I'm using AOKP Milestone[Stable] it's an awesome rom but after I play a game or watch a video (when the GPU is triggered i suppose) the rom goes crazy some parts of the system and apps become transparent respond to my touches but not displayed so i thought it's a kernel related problem so i flashed LuPuS kernel my favourite kernel but WiFi won't work even after flashing multiple modules
If anyone has a soloution for any of the two problems please provide it

hey bro, may i advice you to change to LX CM11. CM9 is stone age & CM11 runs far more better. battery is like on stock or even better. its also fully stable. you will love it
thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545354
Thnx for the advice
But the reason why im still using ICS/CM9 ROMS is that the sound of 4.1+ roms is not as good and loud as ICS ROMS if there is a solution for that problem it would be awesome
I tried AC!D MOD PimpUpMyRom Tweaks but i didn't feel a change (Maybe i didn't use them right)
