Have you tried the one at this thread?

Please He LP

I don't know what is the source of the problem, but i advise you to downgrade or not use youtube in CM9. Kernel Panics can result in serious damage, and that's why i'm considering make a CM9 version of Renascence Series.

BUT CM9 is just soo fast, just that youtube thing bugs me as hell
mabye it is not kernel panic, just the video freezes i get flashing SW lights and have to pull out the battery. has anyone got the same problem?

I had the same problem. And I too used to pull out my battery. If you want fast and bugfree ROM you might try my Genesis or use MiniCM7.

ok ill give it a shot

i flashed that kernel just last week, and yeah at first its laggy but when i think the engine heats up it will boost your phone, i also complained about laggyness to yewsiong since he was the one who got the tutorial for flashing a kernel, i even ask him how to revert my kernel back to normal, but after a few hours i tried again and its smooth, it lags a bit but not as laggy as the stock kernel. maybe there are some apps or you put too much on your phone memory that causes the lag.

hello guys,
i've been successfully flashed my kernel this morning, from cow kernel into the xxlm8 kernel. But i got a same problem like fayosi said, this kernel makes my phone run very laggy. I'm not very shock with this condition coz i've already read this thread before, and referring to the kemaro30 explanation above, it will laggy in the beginning. So i let my phone and wait with very patience.
But now, it's almost 6 hours since i flashed this kernel but still no improvement progress in my phone performance. Still very laggy
how long should i wait?? or, should i re-flashed my kernel?? any ideas or solution maybe..??
thanks n regards

Its not laggy anymore like 18hours after also try to turn the phone off take out battery then put in on again------if that dont work you can wipe cache and dalvik cache. My 3d games does not lagg anymore after this xxml8 is working fine now.

maybe you should check your cpu or use some application that can tweak your phones performance,, btw i use ram manger pro and always set to balanced. i also use advanced task manager to autokill apps that the phone really doesn't need.. and i use stock rom, never tried on other rom. and one more thing, i think my phone took about a day or more than 24hrs before i notice that its not laggy anymore.
here's what i experienced before to let you know http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26780650&postcount=53

Hi guys, first thanks for your some ideas n solutions to me.
And after read both of comments above, i think i know what is cause this problem.
I found that i was using the powersafe governor as my main governor, really my bad at all !!!
Now, with ondemand governor it runs very smooth with no lag, and tomorrow i will give my review about this kernel.
Once again, many thanks for your help guys

[Q] This is driving me nuts..CM9/FXP123

Hi all,
Just recently flashed the new FXP123 build and the newest CM9 nightly. I am having an issue with both. As some may or may not know, the new FXP123 build came with a new kernel. This new kernel doesn't allow overclocking and seems a little sluggish.
My solution was to flash a different ICS kernel (KeICS v2, Darkforest v5, DooMKernel v3). Upon flashing a different kernel, WiFi would be broken. When I would attempt to turn it on, it just stays at "Turning Wi-Fi on..." indefinitely. When I reflashed the new FXP123 kernel, WiFi would be restored.
Are these new CM9 builds not compatible with other kernels? It seems odd that both FXP and the new CM9 nightly both have this issue. I've tried flashing the kernel before and after wiping data for a new ROM install, wiping after flashing, etc. I've tried using the different command in fastboot (fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot <boot>.img). Nothing has worked.
Apparently FXP has changed the way wifi modules are loaded pax has said. Guess we just need updated kernels or patches. Solved?
Sent from my R800x using Tapatalk 2
Sluggish doesnt even begin to describe my experience with FXP123. It's my first time using CM9 so I can't compare it to previous builds, but holy crap is it slow.
Coming from CM7, I expected a small hit to performance but not to this extent. Everything takes 2-3 times longer to load or react on CM9 compared to CM7.
I hope this is just a problem with FXP123.

I really love CyanogenMod and after seeing the behaviour of some AOKP devs, I'd rather not support them.

Unfortunately the chat log was deleted but I'm sure if you dig into the comments, people have logs.
EDIT: I understand this is an unofficial AOKP port for the PLAY and is not developed by the assholes in the provided link (the same asshole who essentially stole a HP Touchpad and HTC resound from the dev community) , perhaps I should leave my prejudices at the door and try it.

Pax will be releasing new ROMs and Kernals shortly I believe that hold the old WiFi modules which should work for you guys. But noticed since I flashed the last kernal provided by FXP I have seen massivve improvement. Litrally my phone was on 30% battery. Put my phone next to my bed and today morning woke up seeing the battery was only down to 25 percent. So then I put it in charge and in 1 hour I see the phone's led is green indicating fully charged and surprizingly enough it was fully charged.

4.2 is ripping my phone apart

Hi all
i just flashed xylon rom ( a 4.2 rom ) , i used to use PA 2.22 ( i am lazy to update them) and my phone turned from awesome to somewhat awful ...no offense to the devs though the rom is awesome but my phone have some issue with it
1.the colour reproduction turned yellowish ( it looks plain disgusting) forcing me to flash trinity kernel which fixed it luckily , franco kernel still can't fix the issue
2. system ui stopped responding , for some reason every now and then he system ui will freeze causing the wallpaper to go dark and the status bar to turn transparent which is really odd
3. performance hiccups , opening contacts , settings , music and all those basics apps sometimes takes FREAKING YEARS it at times will open instantly but at times it can take up to 10 seconds
4.battery drain ...holy crap i am surfing the web with my phone and i lost 30% in an hour ...
i am trying cataclysm rom , hope i will fix my issues ..still is all these issues caused because 4.2 roms are still unstable ?
again no offense to the devs of xylon rom u guys are awesome!
Meanwhile, go back to stock if you don't want to help the devs by reporting bugs, logcats, dmesg.
Sent from my i9250
These kind of stuff should be posted on the ROM thread since the developer will know the best about their Roms
By doing that, not only you're getting help from the pro but you're helping developer find the issue and fix it too.
BTW battery drain is known issue in 4.2.

You should read more and learn to search XDA before you start flashing roms. Just to be helpful if you should read this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895

You are used to morfic colours, the colour values used in Trinity kernel. Stock kernel colors is quite yellowish, franco's is a soft blue. You can change the values using Trinity Kernel's app or use the Trickster MOD app. Both on the Play Store.

It's not really that 4.2 ROMs are unstable, but the entirety of 4.2 is unstable. Might be even more unstable than the Honeycomb days. Holy ****.
I'm back to CM10 because I couldn't stand the abysmal performance of 4.2. I'll probably hold off until 4.2.1 is released or CM10.1, whichever comes first.

one question..did you clean flash?
4.2 is fine. No lags, performance drops, etc.
You people should just reflash stock images through fastboot, erasing all and reflash.

try to clean flash xylon 4.2, but i dont recommend restoring 4.1.2 rom apps to 4.2, cos some may experience crashes.
Good job by the Xylon team..

[Q] Phone screen full artifacting on lupus kernel. Help ;_;

A while back installed the lupus kernel and android 4.Whatever on my xperia play.
I wasn't exactly happy with a lot of things but at least it worked.
Just now without any reason it started showing mad artifacting and while booting up there is rainbow colored tv static. i can barely make out anything and crashes are everywhere. Especially the developer settings menu.
could this have to do with the lupus kernel and the 4.?? Android version i have, or is this a hardware problem?
All the information is in the only thread i ever made. Since my pc is broken and im posting from my psvita i cant copy the url here.
If you search my username itll pop up.
I can enter the recovery menu but i don't remember if i have a backup on it.
I'D like to reinstall the original android 2.1 or whatever i had, if that helps anyway, but i need someone to help me through the steps.

First of all what do you mean by android 4? please be more specific are you meaning to say the advanced ftf? and from the sound of your issue if at first when still entering CWM or initial boot you are having the screen problem i can confidently say that is a hardware problem however if not the best way to solve this is flashing the original ftf for xperia play search in google i assure you can find it, and you can start from there you will need to have that pc fixed before anything else though

after you posted i got kind of sad and i said to my bro: i dont want my phone to die ;_; and i hugged it close to my face. then when i looked at it later the screen was back to normal! if you want to know my reaction type in will smith video games on youtube. the moment he enters the room.
Anyways i then realized i might have hugged something back in place and started messing with the slide system for the playstation buttons. artifacts started appearing and disapearing again in reaction. So thats where the problem originated from. its now 12 hours later and its still working. So all in all you were right about it being a hardware problem. :silly:
Still i am going to reinstall the original os. If i google ftf for xperia play will i be able to find instructions on it to do the whole process?

hah No, but i did try that once. a whole different type of flickering.
I have tried the new turbo kernel and pacman rom. normal stuff is a lot quicker, but playing epsxe is actually slower than on lupus ics beta and uh...the rom had before. forgot which one.
most important, my hardware keys arent working anymore. they just don't do anything. do i need to flash an extra plugin to get it working?
*edit*
im an idiot. pacman doesn't say it supports game keys. i just assumed so.
and i just found out that for best performance i'd want lupus gb kernel. from this i can conclude that the thing that was making my first flash slow was the rom and not the kernel.
what would be the fastest rom with camera, gamepad and standard functionality? and is there any difference between 480p and 720p? besides from the difference in quality?

why dont you try to test the roms on my signatures, these are my daily driver roms, if you want more ram but less video quality use 480p if you want better video recording but sacrificing a little bit of ram go with 720p, we really couldnt say which is the best rom because usually once you start flashing rom you would notice there are things that you want thats not in the rom and there are also things that you need that that is in the rom.

actually my plan was to use the lupus v9 kernel and auroraplay rom. after i flashed lupus using flashtool it just did nothng at the lupus logo. even when mashing back or volume down. then i tried flashing the rom to see if that did anything but nothing.
so i flashed back turbo and pacman which is actually really nice. but still slower in games than what i had and the gamepad isnt working. i don't get what i'm doing wrong. flashing it is all i need to do right? i did lupus before so i dont get why its not working.

[Q] Running CM11 on Samsung Galaxy W [i8150] ??

Dear all,
Recently, due to some instabilities in my previous ROM, I decided to venture into CM11 on my i8150. After looking through the various choices, I decided on EHNDROIX V 14.5.23 for my i8150.
However, after installation pristine method, I noticed that it's very laggy. The swapping of home screens is fine at first, but the starting up of apps will take a long long time. I haven't seen any users complaining that this ROM is laggy (except for one post in the DEV section).
So my question here is this.. did I miss something here? I really do like the CM11 interface better than the CM10.1 (currently using) and would love to go back to CM11 but not until I have solved the lag issue. Any clues?
Also on CM11, somehow the Youtube App doesn't play videos. Saying something like "There's a problem playing the video, Click to try again".. and after numerious times, Youtube App still doesn't play.
Anyone can provide some advice on what went wrong? Thanks in advance
David

Hi.. Thanks.. do you use a different kernel with this to improve things like battery life etc? (e.g Hurtsky, Khan's)
Because of the lag, I read that Khan's Kernel helps.. so that helped a bit.. but launching apps still took a long time tho and sometimes it just crashes.
What combination do you use? How is the user experience for this?
Thanks..
