[REQ] Transparent status/navigation bar - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

I'm wondering if there is a way to do this yet. I did a ton of searches and find nothing. If this is possible, could someone please point me to the right direction?
I am on AOKP Nightlies. Thanks!

You can flash the Xylon Rom and it has many customization. here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046968

You may wanna try Xylon, it has that feature. Paranoid has that too, if I'm not wrong

Thanks guys! I was hoping for a method to modify SystemUI.apk or something that might be common across all roms. But I guess that's not possible.

[Q] Any ROMs running 4.2 or 4.2.1?

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a ROM that's running 4.2 or 4.2.1. The wait is killing me! Any info you have is greatly appreciated!

I've searched, but all I can find is mentions of 4.2 gapps and ROMs that are in the process of being updated. I haven't been able to find a ROM that's actually been updated.
There are no ROMs running on 4.2 or 4.2.1 as of now. Devs are working on it so be patient.

Thank you for the straightforward answer! That's what I suspected, but I just wanted to get some confirmation

I would guess AOKP or CM will have it first

as far as i know task is working on AOKP rom with 4.2....may be 4.2.1

MHL on 4.2.1 AOSP ROMs - Lets get it working!

I want to get the ball rolling on integrating/fixing MHL functionality in 4.2.1 AOSP ROMs, (ie: CM 10.1, AOKP 4.2.1)
I am not a programmer myself but any help that people could provide to get/help the Devs get it back up and working would be amazing.
I hope someone can get it working. I would love to see this so we can use it with the app radio.

Does anyone have insight on where to start?
Do we think it's a driver issue, resource issue.
Mhl did work for me on cm10 m2. I think there were a couple nightly builds it work on too.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Hmm, that could be a good place to start. CM has matured so much since cm10 m2.
If there was a single location, or file that could be plucked from one of the working builds.
Also looking for a fix.

I can confirm that mhl is working on the M2 release.
It would be nice if someone could use that to get it going. There doesn't seem to be much demand though.

It will most likely never work. I believe it is proprietary stuff and undocumented

Great. I don't like those pointless notifications that do nothing when you touch them, and can't be swiped away.

Nexus 4 no workie
Installation ran through in CWM no problem, but "safe levels" warning still appears after reboot. Nexus 4 with stock 4.2.2 rooted, build JDQ39.
Let me know if I can help in any way to fix this, the notification is driving me bonkers...
Thanks.

I've already removed that. You know this is for the Asus tf300 right? and it only removes the headphone icon in the status bar. I'll upload the safe level message warning later today. Or you can look at my tutorial to remove it yourself

I found your post over at androidcentral and just looked for your username here, scanned your posts for the "remove notification" keywords and found "should work on any jb ROM". Good enough for me!
So did I break anything by running the above? And where do I find your tutorial? I am a hands on guy so definitely prefer getting my hands dirty vs. "just applying magic."
Thanks!

There's a flashable here

Have to patch that into a cm10 build for this phone. They can't make a universal flashable because it needs device specific files to work. I don't have the slightest clue since I'm not a robot but people that speak in 10011010's say it's actually pretty easy.
Hopefully a dev here will compile this into one of there cm10 roms at some point.
I actually got it to come up, but it wasn't functional... idk I'm not really into it, I provided the info if somebody else wants to do it
Looks complicated but I'll try it.
Sent From My Beast Epic Touch 4g!
They said it might be compatible with pacman ROM because it's cm10 and aokp.
But i didn't try it yet cuz in not good with patches.

[ROM][4.3] OmniROM [PRE-ALPHA][UNOFFICIAL]

This is the pre-alpha thread of OmniROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (l900). More information can be found here.
This build is very bare bones at the moment. Don't let flashing this now turn you down from trying it again in the future, a lot of changes are coming soon. I would still consider this much more of a tester than a daily driver unless bare bones is your style. The rom is very smooth and fast though probably for that very same reason.

What doesn't work:
You tell me!
Installation method:
Wipe all if coming from another rom
Flash OmniROM
Flash GApps
Reboot
This rom does not come with root by default. Flash SuperSU in recovery if you want root!
Flash at your own risk! No one else is responsible if your device bursts into flames
To try out multiwindow, go to recents and long press an app. Click add to split view and repeat to add another app. Keep in mind its still buggy at the moment
Have fun and enjoy!
First
And I just flashed this. Liking it so far. I have been on TW for a while. May have to switch.

4.3 stock deodexed available for SPH-L900?
I am sorry if I am in the wrong spot. Found ROMS for the unlocked versions, but can not find one for SPH-L900 - can anyone point me in the right direction or slap me down and tell me there is not one available yet? Thank you so much for any help - appreciate everyone here for their work and input.

You can always use the xposted framework to add that back.
And the rom is cool right now but pretty lacking in settings.
Will this be moving to the development thread? Where should we watch for updates and report bugs?

How do you flash an AT&T rom on a sprint phone? I'm assuming there are differences between the same rom on different devices
Just found this ROM and I'm going to try it out but I wanted to ask if it's still being develop on.
What it do Slick Rick going try this I've seen other omni roms well into development not asking for an update just curious of the progression of the rom. So far so good looking forward to more to come.
