Kernel Change Stock Rooted

Greetings
UVKL1 Stock ROM.
Is it possible to flash an alternate kernel build for the T989 in ROM manager or CMR, or is more needed,ie Odin the kernel etc.
i'm coming from the Vibrant, flashed kernels, ROMs on that for 18 months but like the rooted stock I have now..just looking to try another kernel and maybe jkay mod, which I know involves build prop and framework changes

Show me a link. I've looked dude since Thursday and have not found a specific answer to my question, until now, and following the rules I posted a general question in the general section. It's not useless.

I just gave our device (skyrocket) a build from source, should be easy enough to get it to flash on the Hercules.

just tried flashing the skyrocket build on the hercules but giving a failed error in CWM

Open the zip find the updater script and replace with this one:
http://db.tt/GxuzGdFt
Then flash again

ok im sorry if this has been answered but i am doing a port for myself and maybe release when finished but when i flash the boot.img do i use the one out of my base rom or the one out of the port rom i tried with the one out of the base rom and some threads say to put one out of port rom in folder and some say to leave base rom boot in the file so im not sure also do i need to use a sepreate kernel and if so what one. one from our primoc one v phone or do i need to do one from my port rom that i can somehow convert thanks for ANY info/help u can give me

dude we have a s-on device so we cant fflash the kernel directly we have to fastboot it so it does not matter!

I think you read the question wrongly

Use one from the base ROM. Let say you're porting a One S ROM; it's just not logical to use One S boot.img on One V

OK well I figured it wouldn't be wise but I in side the ROM what image should it be the ports IMG or our img

You could put in a G1 image for all it matters right now....but if it's a CM10 based rom then use hell boy kernel image

Yes I am primo c and after my first Two failed ttys on I've kinda taking a break.I have asked if anyone wanted or could take the time to assist($$$$) me with advice or assistance and have only had one response. But I have trued doing port with akop to just see if it can boot.should I ask jmz to use it even if I don't do a release. (it will be awhile before release)

Odex or Deodex?

Hey guys, im running a custom ROM on my note 2 and I wanted to get back to my stock rom. So I read that I could do it via Odin but when I went to download the files there were 2 categories, 1. Odex and 2. Deodex.
So if you'll could help me decide which one I should download then that'd be great.

I think the main thing is that deodex ROM can be completely moded and themed. The other not...

I think we always are faster odex for theming but I think it's better deodex

Ok as the title states Does any body have this download link? The hard drive on my computer so I've lost everything my roms my kernels all of my ports etc I am asking fir 2 reasons 1 I liked the rom 2 I want to use it as a base to try porting a gingerbread rom over for cdma
