I recently cracked my Galaxy s3. I was shoppping on ebay for new screens to replace and i was wondering about the two they have: with sensor and one with out the sensor.
I was wondering if i take of my cracked glass. how would i take off the sensor off the old one and be able to put it on the new one. or would it be better to buy the screen with the sensor.
here is a video i made of the process of replacing the cracked screen. it will help a lot. 3

I bought a G2 with a broken glass Digitizer. I replaced the digitizer but the LCD screen was cracked as well. So i replace that too. After replacing the glass digitizer and lcd screen the phone would respond in certain areas. SOOO I took the phone apart once more and press the LCD against the Glass digitizer which help with some of the "dead spots" on the screen. But there are still some "dead" spots here and there. Is there anything i could do to have the Lcd screen stick to the digitizer so i don't have these issues. I love my G2 but its useless at points when the multi touch is not working properly.
You should have sent it back on warranty.
Removed "Void" sticker over one of the screws
I removed one of the stickers do you think they'll notice?
no, they'll send you another one as soon as they get the tracking no. from you.
Hey guys, I have a G2 which has a couple of scratches on the screen. I thought that since I was already replacing the housing and spring that I could just replace the screen as well. My question is what do I replace the digitizer or the LCD?
digitizer is the glass on the front so i would say thats what you want to replace, unless the scratches are on the lcd its self witch is very unlikely.
i am a repair technician and i have come across a weird situation .....i have replaced a glass froma galaxy s3 sprint ...and the glass was working before and with the new replacement is not working at alll and i have tested the lcd without the glass and still no response at all ...i have taken off the glass perfectly no cracks on lcd a work of art .... but still no response..any advice !!
Hi guys
Had to get my glass replaced by samsung and had to purchase glass and digitizer as one unit. Its back to normal and samsung returned my original unit with cracked glass..however the digitizer and screen worked fine.
Seen yourube videos on how to remove the glass. Do you think its worth salvaging/selling the digitzer and screen?
There is no mainboard parts etc..
..just digitizer/screen only
Thx
I have two identical tablets ( galaxy tab s4)
The first tablet functions, but it's with broken Glass-Digitizer
the second tablet is with broken LCD Display, but the Glass-Digitizer is untouched.
Is it possible to take the glass digitizer from the tablet with broken lcd and put it on the other one
The digitizer and the AMOLED film is laminated together so unless you can remove the whole thing you shouldn't bother. Why not use the other one if it's working? Or is it because it's locked and stolen?

Firstly the devices aren't stolen or locked. I want to change the glass digitizer of the one that is working. I have no use to the other one, because the lcd display is broken and I don't plan on buying new lcd. I have changed tablet glass digitizer before. My question was if I put the glass digitizer of the broken one to the one that is working. New glass digitizers are sticky when you pull of the tape.
