Android OS battery drain CM10 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

While sleeping my phone was connected to WiFi and not touched for 7 hours or so, but my Android OS says it was awake the entire time. I'm new to CM10, but on TW my biggest battery drain was screen and cell standby. Any ideas?

I had the same issue then I realized that for some reason my proximity sensor was not turning off when I turned the screen off which may have had something to do with my phone not sleeping...I reset my phone and the sensor turned off and overnight I lost 3% battery.

I will try it. Thanks.

I am on cm10 but all I had to do was reset the device and the sensor would be off once it rebooted...battery life still isn't quite as good as stock just yet but I can easily get through the day on one charge with about 4hrs of screen time...where did you find cm10.1 for our device?

do you have a lot of apps running in the backround? are you running a rom? a custom kernel?
Have you tried calibrating the battery?

Your screen isn't going to sleep.
My solution when this happens is to wipe my caches, usually works flawlessly. I've noticed I get this issue when I'm getting texts or calls. I don't know if it bugs out and activates in my pocket or perhaps the touch screen becomes active. After I wipe cache it usually doesn't do it for a long time. I've encountered this issue on several phones. Evo 3d, GS 1, and my GSII

Only app running constantly is Facebook (as usual for me) but that hasn't caused a problem before. I'm running are you jelling ROM for sprint, with whatever the stock kernel is... I usually use Franco but haven't installed it since I update the ROM.
I'm calibrating now
And I will wipe the cache as soon as I get done with this post

Try reflash your phone with stock/custom rom with format data and cache
Well is that 10% the like 100%-90%? I think I lose the first 15% the quickest. What's your total battery life?

[Q] Battery drain during night hours

Last night I had a weird battery drain for the first time... it went down from 100% to 76% in 8 hours of sleep... looks like the call app is the reason... I'm on stock without root.
Have a look

Reboot the phone in recovery, clear caches and reboot. That should solve it mate.

No, the screen was off all nighty but the phone was awake most of it.
Do you use Perseus kernel ? Same happened to me a couple time while using it.
I got it too this night. Had 48% when I went to bed, 7 hours later battery dropped to 19%. First time I get that, and also the phone app that's been eating the juice. My device is not modded at all.

100% awake time, horrible battery life.

Okay guys, I hope this phone gets better battery life than 8 hours, and I'm not hard on a phone at all. Any ideas on this? My wake locks are horrible for some reason and I'm running the synergy r71.

Install BetterBatteryStats. Great tool for identifying what's killing your battery. You may post some screenshots if need be.

Yeah alot of people freak out when tbe phone gets to about 50% they don't realize that thats half the day usually. ... and it also depends on how long your last flash was it takes a few days forvthe kernel to settle.

Nfc Problem

I don't know what has happened, I haven't messed with anything I shouldn't, but for some reason, my nfc has stopped working!
Is there anything I could check to see if something is missing or deactivated or something because it's doing my head in!

I have had the cover off and a cheap flip cover on which does not have the nfc chip on and the phone never did anything different.
I have the original cover on with the chip and it's not working.
I don't know the exact time it started, I've only just noticed it.
Even restarting my phone has no effect.
Bit of an update, going into settings and turning the nfc on with the switch turns it on but it crashed the os.
Since then it appears to be working again but, I will need to find a nfc card to test.

Known bug. When the NFC toggle goes blank, just hit it, let System UI crash and re-open, and the toggle will work until you reboot again.
Yeah i have experience many times on my device (with different stock roms).

I thinks it automaticly went to deep sleep as soon you put the phone to sleep, maybe you got some apps that keeps awaking your phone.

I'm using stock kernel. deep sleep works on both stock and custom kernels. use Wakelock Detector 1.5 to check what things that keeps ur phone awake, and greenify them (if possible, use greenify donate)
