Read the guides here and install the latest. And if you've googled about what to do when boot looped you'd know to reflash the stock ROM and try again. There's been about 10 "boot loop" this past month.

It's never easy to really brick an arc than a galaxy tablet, had the mainboard replaced. flashtool really a very good tool to revive an arc.
Calm down then try this 1 by 1

Hi, Janto
For me, just flashing a custom rom it can't block u getting into cwm. It may stuck with the Kernel's logo/bootAnimation but should passes the CWM notification first.
If you could provide info(Name & version) of your kernel & rom, it would be better for us to help you bring your expensive device back to life:fingers-crossed:
My suggestion is:
1. Use Fastboot to flash a good kernel (Anyone from the development section), then CWM, thought you know how to do a flash again
2. If above step not works, download flashtool (The top thread in the development section) and a complete tft files, then do a flash using the flashtool, this should give you a brand new phone.
BTW: you r BL or not? search for X-parts if u r still locked.

Unlocked bootloader, right?
Well... I started flashing with the FXP CM based roms. I suppose that this is exactly what you did, but since you didn't tell the steps you followed, I'm gonna write down how I did the first time:
With an FXP CM based rom (eg: FXP CM 10) , the steps, basically are:
- Extract the boot.img (own kernel of the FXP roms) of the .zip and put the .zip in the sdcard
- Flash the kernel in fastboot mode:
( fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img
fastboot -i 0xfce flash reboot
unplug the usb and start hiting volume controls to enter in CWM)
- Wipe data and cache
- Install the .zip (rom)
- Reboot and enjoy
Hope it works for you.

I'm noob too, so unfortunately I can't help in the most effective way.
The only apparent difference between our phones (from what I understood from your post) is that I unlocked the bootloader. I read here in XDA that some roms just need this while others not.
"can u tell me the procedure from the scratch, I ll really appreciate it" - You mean unlock the BL?
It's easy, but may void the warranty... Go here: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
(Note: In my case I didn't install the sdk, but I just can't find the tutorial that I followed to unlock the BL... Anyway, the tutorial that I've used was in portuguese... Not much help for you I guess
Note2: In the middle of the process, you'll have to inform your IMEI in the sony website... Use just the first 14 digits).
There is enough information in the guides and stickys to help with most things, People just need to read it.

When I want to know sth, I search and then I will have more than I wanted.
1. unlock the boot loader
2. Download a custom kernel for your current version of android ie: GB/ICS i suggest DoomLord.
3.Put the kernel ( .img ) into the same folder as you have fastboot/adb
4. Power the phone into fastboot: Power down your phone. Press and hold the menu button then plug in your usb cable (the light on the side will be blue)
open a CMD window in the same folder as fastboot/adb and type the commant:
fastboot flash boot NAME OF FILE.img
push enter.
Once the install is complete (a couple of second) you will have root and custom recovery.
Make sure your phone version is rootable
There are guides available in the General section, I suggest you read them if this is your first root.
Good Luck.
Thanks guys I appreciate your help.. I ll try
okay i just got my xperia arc s last few days and its perfomance wasnt really good sometimes laggy im on ics 4.0.4 build number 4.1.B.0.587 okay, now i wanna install a cyanogen mod based custom rom i dont know how to.. whats with the fast boot or bootloader.. help me anyone
If you want to install custom rom, you have to unlock bootloader and root the mobile.
Unlocking bootloader will void the warranty.
Steps to be followed to install custom ROM.
Warning - It clears all the user data (msgs, contacts, etc.,). Please take backup.
1. Unlock Bootlaoder.
2. Root mobile.
3. Download fastboot and flashtool and install flashtool.
4. Install requires baseband using flashtool.
5. Download cyanogen mod.
6. Flash the kernel using fastboot.
7. Flash the ROM using CWM.
If anything goes wrong you should download the Generic ROM (.ftf) and flash the ROM using flashtool.
Search in this ROM for each step. Then you will get all the details.
Hit "Thanks" if anyone helped you. :good:
Xperia Arc LT15i
Rooted/Bootloader Unlocked
JellyBean - FXP137/CM10
Hey.
Very new here to this forums and i certanly hope you can oversee if i posted this thread in the wrong place.
I have a locked bootloader on my Xperia S and when i found a way to root and install a new rom i thought, hey... why not right?
So i Tried to install MIUI v4 [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139152]
So i do, and end up in MIUI bootlogo (bootloop) flashing between sony start logo, miui, and then reeboting to do the same thing again.
I dont know how to get into CMW and if i can install another ROM.
Are there any flashtools that work with a locked bootloader?
Android : 4.0.4
Lt26i
Thank you guys!
Use PCC to recover your phone.
In fact, all flash tools can be used on locked bootloader.
I flashed Jelly Dream and right after i install it im stuck at Sony logo and cant even go to CWM
Any help?
This kind of question has been asked millions of times... Please search the forums for how to solve these problems. My first question to you is did you flash the correct kernel?

What you are experiencing is bootloop,it's caused by not flashing a correct kernel,so you have to read the step by step tutorial on how to flash the ROM.For more info search on google Model of your phone and add bootloop you'll find your answer
