Hi, I am desperately need help.
I've installed ROM root66_ATT_I747UCDLK3.7z using Odin and now have a problem.
When starting phone shows Samsung logo, then Galaxy S III logo. After that screen goes black. Second later i can hear boot sound but phone is unresponsive and screen stays black.
Probably this happen because i loaded rom in the wrong place - in the odin i choose "PHONE" instead of "PDA".
I have tried to unbrick loading "Stock Samsung recovery for AT&T galaxy s3 i747" - no luck.
I still go to the download mode, so maybe there is some hope to bring phone back to life?
PHONE: SCH-I747, AT&T
Try flashing root66 in PDA instead of phone and wipe caches. If it still won't boot, then try a factory reset.

Just to be certain you have the t989 right? more details! What happened that lead to this "upgrade screen" not exactly sure what that is. Did you download the drivers to use odin?

What made it get stuck on DL? Have you taken out battery, or does it get stuck when you try to put back in DL?
We need details!!!!
(and FYI bro questions go in the Q&A section, not in general)
yeah which phone model do you have?
also which ROM you were trying to flash?
Sorry for posting a new thread but I want to make sure I am heading in the right direction. I bought a Galaxy S3 yesterday that was rooted. I want to put it back to stock ROM. I downloaded Odin and the ATT Stock ROM's. Everything went ok and passed without fail, but my phone is stuck on boot. Googling around I found a how to where I could run CWM Recovery, but it seems like this is for rooted devices stuck at boot. I am looking to go back to stock. Will this work or is there something else I am missing? Thanks and I will begin searching on the forum for help.
Edit: My phone does go into dowload mode.

Heres how to restore to stock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypmqJbZqOaU
If you wanna root it again like a boss heres the link for that too:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoEVDgjTTdg
Great. Thanks for that link. I actually found that video and was looking for the drivers. I noticed the one he linked if for Sprint. My phone is ATT though. I clicked on the ATT link a little further down in his description where it says AT&T USA. I am assuming this is the correct file to install right? Now is that the TAR file or the drivers? He didnt post an AT&T link for one of those.
factory reset

It wont let me get into factory reset either. I hold power up, power and home and it goes to...
Firmware upgrade encountered and issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I cant get into Kies because Kies doesnt connect to the device
Ok I followed QBkings video and everything worked fine and passed but I am still stuck on the Samsung screen. I know he mentioned factory reset but he did it once he was already into the actual phone. Mine wont get in.
You guys are all beasts! Thanks a million for the help. Factory reset finally worked! My phone didnt reset by itself though.
Well I see you must have been able to fix your phone!
It must be like the Atrix 2, but instead of FXZ restoration w/ RSD Lite, you use TAR files and Odin

The same thing happened to me today.
I flashed a rooted ics stock, one that came with cwm. It was still stuck on the logo until I went onto cwm and factory reseted. Now it works again.

Boot into recovery. Vol up + home + power. When your device vibrates and you see the blue text in the top left corner of the screen, release just the power button.
Wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache
Really need some assistance here if someone could please help. I downloaded chainfire 3d, because i read it would speed up my game lag/speed. After install, it asked for a reboot....my phone hasnt been able to boot now, it has been stuck on the logo screen. I can get into recovery mode, i did a reset and formatted everything (which i REALLY didnt want to do), but i need my phone on asap. After all that, nothing has worked after reboot. Still stuck on logo screen, someone please give me any ideas to get this back on its really upsetting Thanks a lot, really hope someone has some ideas.

Follow Jed instructions above but in the future please make a backup(nandroid) in recovery so you can restore if necessary.

If you can still get into Download Mode you can always flash the stock rom back using the Odin tool on your PC. Use the procedure below to get into download mode:
Entering download mode is very simple. First you will need to turn off your device. Once it’s off, you need to press this button combination: volume down, power button and home button. Keep them pressed until the download mode shows up. Once you’re there, you will be requires to press volume up to enter the download mode or volume down to cancel and reboot the device.
Then follow these instructions:
If u have a custom recovery there's always this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769
And sadly yes cf3d does not work on any device with touchwiz jellybean
What I did in that situation is first download a stock deodexed rom.
Then connect your phone with your pc and open the Odin program on your computer.
(may or may not have to install Kies)
Then flash the deodexed rom to your phone.

Well guys need help. I think I brick my galaxy tab 3. When I fire her up it upgraded to I guess a new firm where 217s. Went to the forums section Guide how to root, recovery and so forth. Download Odin root, and error message came up then try to reboot and I'm stuck on opening screen and can't do nothing. Can't go to either recovery or anything else. Can't connect to my pc or a battery pull. What do I do to recover from this. I'm not new to android. Maybe should of read more.

Please try a clean install of Stock ROM by going into download mode. Power + Volume down + Home buttons
I try that and it would not do anything. It just stuck on the home screen. With none of the buttons working. And of course can't do a battery pull with the tab.

Well if no one could help me after work I will take the Tab back to sprint and let them see it. I've never in all my years with android have I never brick anything I think this thing is brick.

Just got back from sprint, and they replaced the Tab with a new one. They couldn't figure it out what was wrong with it so they gave me a new Tab and have a nice day. Now I got to root this probably. Any advice I will gladly take.

Okay, so here is my issue. I returned to stock, downloaded network update, it rebooted my phone, and did the update. Phone went to reboot again, and was hung up on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen. After about an half an hour I pulled the battery, and tried to reboot. Same thing. I rebooted into Download mode and flashed the stock .tar file as described in this thread. The Odin flash goes great and the phone reboots when it is done. Then it just sits on the Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen. Never goes past it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this working? Any help is much appreciated. I have tried to search the forums for an answer, but I could not find anything that matched my issue.

Return to which stock ??
Have you seen this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618447
As of know, any stock would be better then what I have. I would like to return to the stock rom that came with the phone. I believe it is the J2 one. I am going to try that thread that you mentioned, and see if I can get anywhere. If that does not work, I think I might this thread here. Thanks for the reply...

Sounds good. The first link should do you. The J2 will be the 4.1.1. Following the guide you can OTA to 4.1.2.
Holler if you need help.
EDIT:::: I just did the ODIN to LJ2, booted perfectly. OTA to MH3 4.1.2 worked great.
This step is mandatory !!
There a step that need to be done to get the install to complete successfully for the i317UCAMH3 OTA.
- Download from http://d-h.st/CDK
I317UCUBMK6-TZ-PARAM.zip
- Extract the .zip file to get to I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5
- Put your Note 2 in Download Mode.
Entering download mode is very simple. First you will need to turn off your device. Once it’s off, you need to press this button combination: volume down, power button and home button. Keep them pressed until the download mode shows up. Once you’re there, you will be required to press volume up to enter the download mode or volume down to cancel and reboot the device.
Open ODIN and place the I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5 file in PDA and flash.
Phone will now boot into i317UCAMH3.
So I guess the issue was that I went from 4.3 to 4.1.1, and my phone didn't like it. Flashed the prama and tz file. It rebooted and went straight into 4.1.1 with no issues... Thanks
