Does anyone know how I can pull the keyboard from his 1053 ROM and use it with another ROM? I love his keyboard
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
It should be posted on his site follow the links from his inverted apps thread it should be in the all apps section on his site
Edit: otherwise use a root explorer and copy the apk to your SD card on new rom push it to /system/app or /data/app and set permissions to rw-r-r

I know for most HTC sense devices they have an unsence script to run in recovery. Just replaced most stock apps with vanilla based android (aosp) for any sense based roms. Do we have that, like an untouchwiz mod?
Silly sheeps, S3's arnt for noobs.
I think what you are looking for is cm10..
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
No, you run the mod on say free gs3. And it removes like sms, contacts, camera ect... And replaces it with vanilla based aosp.

He was being a smartass, though I happen to agree with him. Just curious, why would you want to do that? I'm asking specifically which ones you would want to replace.
Haha. Status bar, sms, dialer, contacts, keyboard, ect...

Don't be lazy and do it manually, flash the new apps first then use tibu and remove the old apps. That's what I did before I just repacked the roms wizless

For some reason my phone will not engage in a call. When I go to call someone, it goes in for 2 seconds, and automatically hangs up all by its self! I updated profile, PRL, rebooted, pulled the battery and everything and it still won't work. I'm on Blu Kuban 1.0.5.1 FI27, Agat Kernel #v0.5.4, modem FI03. It has never done this, and for some reason the phone has been beeping randomly at times, there subtle beeps, and I have no clue why, its not dieing or anything so it shouldn't. I really need some help. Also lately it has been saying my texts aren't sending, but the other person is getting them, and I know neither of these problems are related to signal because I have full bars in my house.
Does it hold a charge? Do you have any call blockers? Maybe try a different modem
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yes it holds a charge, I've only had the phone since July 1st of this year... and this is the first time it's ever done this....

May try a different ROM. I had several weird issues with kuban.

I love this rom though, and I've been running it for a while!
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Or flash a different modem and see if it still does it
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Well I've learned that it was the person's phone I was calling not mine...
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Oh. Even better
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Mine does this from time to time due to network issues. Both failed texts and starting to dial out then hanging up. It occurs even with good signal but the network itself is what's hanging. Almost like the firmware at the tower is frozen or lagging really bad, but the NV upgrades are being done in my area currently.

Can anyone link me to anyone that can remote flash the GS3 to metropcs? I payed someone to remote flash my HTC Droid Incredible months ago, but he no longer does it.
If anyone here would do it for money that'd be even better. Thanks for the help guys.
Have you tried doing it yourself? There are lots of guides around and it's not super hard as long as you can follow directions precisely. Its always much better to be self sufficient than rely on someone else. Especially when doing things like this, that way if you ever run into an issue you can fix it yourself instead of needing to contact someone for assistance. Check out Howard forums and search around xda for guides and info on the software and files you'll need. They can't be fully discussed here on xda do to the legal confusion surrounding carrier flashing cdma devices.

If a new modem was flashed the profile update more than anything fixes the issue. Usually best to update profile then reboot the profile is all the info the network requires to communicate with the device.

Ok so the new FL16 has leaked I'm going to extract the modem.bin but don't want to increase my flash count again just got it back to zero. So my question is how would I make a flashable zip?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Kobridge should be able to help you out. He made a zip of the modem and kernel and posted it in the Android Development section.
Sent from my E4GT running Jellyverse
Flashing the modem in Odin won't trigger the flash counter, only modified insecure kernels will.
