For some reason my phone will not engage in a call. When I go to call someone, it goes in for 2 seconds, and automatically hangs up all by its self! I updated profile, PRL, rebooted, pulled the battery and everything and it still won't work. I'm on Blu Kuban 1.0.5.1 FI27, Agat Kernel #v0.5.4, modem FI03. It has never done this, and for some reason the phone has been beeping randomly at times, there subtle beeps, and I have no clue why, its not dieing or anything so it shouldn't. I really need some help. Also lately it has been saying my texts aren't sending, but the other person is getting them, and I know neither of these problems are related to signal because I have full bars in my house.
Does it hold a charge? Do you have any call blockers? Maybe try a different modem
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yes it holds a charge, I've only had the phone since July 1st of this year... and this is the first time it's ever done this....

May try a different ROM. I had several weird issues with kuban.

Well I've learned that it was the person's phone I was calling not mine...
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Oh. Even better
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Mine does this from time to time due to network issues. Both failed texts and starting to dial out then hanging up. It occurs even with good signal but the network itself is what's hanging. Almost like the firmware at the tower is frozen or lagging really bad, but the NV upgrades are being done in my area currently.

Did your battery die midflash? Usually even if it bricks it doesn't occur til the reboot. Normally it doesn't just brick midflash and go blank.

I think so, like right after i hit finish it flashed, went black and would turn on, the samsung reboot screen didn't even come on, after that i too out the battery and now it wont do anything
Was your battery really low before you went to recovery? Does the charging screen show when plugged in? Try letting it sit plugged in a while and see if the battery went to low, sometimes takes an hr or so in charger before they will get to a level when it can boot or even show the battery screen when off. If the charging screen shows once you get it above 50% try booting to download mode or recovery mode manually(using the hardware buttons)

OP, Your phone is officially done. I9300 is international version of the S3.. Different processor and goodies.. If your on Sprint.. your looking for the SPH-L710. Which is the US Version (Dual core) Flashing an international rom kills it. (Your not the only one who's done it, there are several threads here with similar issues) Just next time, be more careful and ensure you have the right model.. ask if your not sure.

Not that i've seen nor heard of.. If you could get into odin mode.. then it's a possibility.. More then likely, return to sprint. (Someone will chime in if they have a possible method) From what i've read. best bet, take back to sprint.. if your under warrenty they should exchange it. (Just don't tell them how you bricked it)

You will not be able to fix this yourself. You will have to get it replaced or send it off to have a JTAG Repair done.

Can you get to odin mode? (vol up + home + power)
If so there is a chance, i had flashed a i9300 rom by accident on my d2spr and was able to recover it via odin, had to re partition everything and it was a bloody nightmare, but i was able to fix it. but if you cant get it to odin, and it wont charge. Then you should be able to take it to sprint for replacement. In my experience if its dead dead, and there's no water damage (which i'm presuming there isn't) they will send out for a replacement on the spot at no charge. Granted i always go to a licensed store so that may be the reason.

Can anyone link me to anyone that can remote flash the GS3 to metropcs? I payed someone to remote flash my HTC Droid Incredible months ago, but he no longer does it.
If anyone here would do it for money that'd be even better. Thanks for the help guys.
Have you tried doing it yourself? There are lots of guides around and it's not super hard as long as you can follow directions precisely. Its always much better to be self sufficient than rely on someone else. Especially when doing things like this, that way if you ever run into an issue you can fix it yourself instead of needing to contact someone for assistance. Check out Howard forums and search around xda for guides and info on the software and files you'll need. They can't be fully discussed here on xda do to the legal confusion surrounding carrier flashing cdma devices.

If a new modem was flashed the profile update more than anything fixes the issue. Usually best to update profile then reboot the profile is all the info the network requires to communicate with the device.

Yes, you can. Sprintzone only works inside the app. It is not required to activate the phone, call customer service or anything else the app does. It just localizes the options.

Not a clue but mine works just fine. I have it deleted tho and not frozen. So maybe that has something to do with it. Could be a dependency still working in the background. Does it FC if you dial the 800#? When u dial that # from your sprint line it converts to *2 when it dials out. All I know is the phone works 100% with every single sprint app removed cuz I'm using mine with 0 sprintware and very little Samsung stuff left and I've called *2 about 10times since Thanksgiving to have my data refreshed from tower upgrades in my area killing my connection
