Vibration while on a call. - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyway I can stop my phone from vibrating in my ear when I'm on a call and I receive a text or other message? I thought I had switched it off in call settings, but obviously not.
Am on Stock 4.1.1, not rooted.
Thankyou.

It's unchecked, but still vibrating while on a call .. I wouldn't mind so much if the vibration wasn't so intense in my ear when I receive a text or other messages.
I'm wandering if it's a bug?

Hopefully the 4.1.2 update will fix this. It's really annoying and makes me jump whenever I'm on a call and receive a message.

I doubt this will be fixed. This damn feature or bug has been around since S3.

Stupid IDing when phone rings.

So my T989 with rooted stock rom is very annoying now. I "think" ever since I downloaded Titanium Backup and removed some bloatware, the phone now ID callers or text messages.
i.e. *ring ring John Doe is calling ring ring*. Same goes for text messages.
I've already removed T-Mobile ID app. What else could be causing this?
Thanks!
Say what?

^This
is exactly what is causing it. Driving mode.
The weird thing is, this just happened to me for no reason too... just two days ago, all of the sudden driving mode enabled itself..
Weird. I turned it off, no issues since. Though I kind of liked it.. might use it

Help with a bad ass sgs3 feature

After seeing the sgs3 Verizon commercials showing off voice command in some apps, I figured I'd try it on my sprint sgs3 and it works flawlessly....for the most part...when I receive a call, I keep saying "answer" or "reject" to the point where I'm yelling at the phone, and still no response. The other voice commands work fine, but I want the phone voice command functions to work. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, go to settings--language and keyboard---voice cmd. Attached is a screenshot of my settings within that menu

And I know the picture shows otherwise, but my settings are in fact turned on! Just thought I'd clear that up

I did the same thing. but figured it out. Go to language and input and press on voice cmd and check the incoming calls box.
Edit
Oops never mind.. try restarting your phone
Does my screen need to be unlocked when I get a call to use this feature? My screen is looked and whenever I get a call, with commands to accept or reject the call don't work...kinda mad I wanna be cool and show it off to people lol

You need to turn off vibrate for incoming calls for answer/reject voice commands to work.
Was driving me crazy trying to figure this out until someone mentioned it on another thread. But I'm surprised Samsung doesn't have proper instructions explaining this. Anyways...

Thanks man, I'll disable the vibration. Don't even know why vibration matters.
Also how do I disable it? Do I uncheck sound and vibration or do I turn the vibration intensity for phone calls all the way down?

Does vibration need to be turned off for the clock command to work?

Yes. Just uncheck sound and vibration. The 'vibration off' matters because it gets in the way of hearing your voice. Makes perfect sense. And no, the vibration doesn't need to be turned off for the snooze command.

So even if I leave vibration intensity for phone calls all the way up, unchecking sound and vibration will make my voice command work? Just wanna clear it up. And thanks for your help too, I appreciate it

Yeah, you can have your vibration intensity all the way up, just as long as its not active for incoming calls, by unchecking sound and vibration. This is only needed if you want to use the voice cmd to verbally answer and reject incoming calls. All other voice commands are independent of the vibration settings.

Wouldn't that turn off vibration for notifications though?

The vibration matters because people will half their phone on a flat surface half the time and it will make a loud buzz sound which will disrupt it from picking up your voice saying reject or answer.

Open you phone, then hit the menu to find it in call settings. You will be looking at your phone keypad when you open the menu.

Try hitting the home key instead of backing out of the dialer. That works for me without muting the call. You can get back to the dialer from the pull down shade.
Ok ill try that out,
