Stupid IDing when phone rings. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

So my T989 with rooted stock rom is very annoying now. I "think" ever since I downloaded Titanium Backup and removed some bloatware, the phone now ID callers or text messages.
i.e. *ring ring John Doe is calling ring ring*. Same goes for text messages.
I've already removed T-Mobile ID app. What else could be causing this?
Thanks!

Say what?

^This
is exactly what is causing it. Driving mode.
The weird thing is, this just happened to me for no reason too... just two days ago, all of the sudden driving mode enabled itself..
Weird. I turned it off, no issues since. Though I kind of liked it.. might use it

Theres a multicolor widget on TW4 that has 3 buttons on one of the screens. They relate to Text to speach while driving, sounds like one of them is on. Hope this helps
It's the driving mode, should be the car icon. Make sure it's off.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
If you open Voice Talk, you can uncheck Driving Mode, that will turn off the voice for new notifications.
Lol this happened to me to when I first got this phone.

Even if car mode is off, and "driving mode" is still on in Voice Talk, you will still hear the Siri-esque voice. You have to disable "Driving Mode" from within "Voice Talk" to get her to shut up.
BTW, you can change what she greets you with when you say "Hi Galaxy" in the program settings. Mine says, "What the hell do you want now, John"
It's the rom that your using. The voice is Linda I think.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
That's one thing I thought it sounded like. I stripped some of the Linda sounds from my Vibrant and brought them over to my GS2. I missed them.
I can't stand that voice and all of the texts and plug in sounds. Talk about wanting attention... Lol

Truth. She makes everyone trip out when I get a call/email/text.

Is there a way to disable texts from showing up in the call log?

I find it really annoying that texts show up in the call log... anyway to disable that? I'm on Starburst 1.7

In the phone log click the menu button and click view by. Then choose all voice calls.

That works but it doesn't stick. I think it resets after a reboot. At least for me it hasn't stuck.

So I'm assuming there is no permanent workaround yet?

Probably not. The phone is still very new and still working out bug in every corner. So it will take some time.

There is a "logsprovider.apk" over on Bonsai that works, I use it fwiw. Just search the quoted term.

I've been using go dialer since I changed my lcd density to 200 which made the default dialer look funny. I like go dialer so far
This must be with the default messaging. I don't see the texts in mine, maybe cause I have Handcent installed.

I have to press 1 to accept a call?

I'm using the latest aokp ROM and every time I get a call, I swipe to the right to accept it but then I get a prompt sing press 1 to accept or press 2 to send to voice mail. How the hell do I get rid of the prompt and go straight to accepting the call. If I wanted it to go to voice mail I would just reject the call in the first place

Help with a bad ass sgs3 feature

After seeing the sgs3 Verizon commercials showing off voice command in some apps, I figured I'd try it on my sprint sgs3 and it works flawlessly....for the most part...when I receive a call, I keep saying "answer" or "reject" to the point where I'm yelling at the phone, and still no response. The other voice commands work fine, but I want the phone voice command functions to work. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, go to settings--language and keyboard---voice cmd. Attached is a screenshot of my settings within that menu
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
And I know the picture shows otherwise, but my settings are in fact turned on! Just thought I'd clear that up
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I did the same thing. but figured it out. Go to language and input and press on voice cmd and check the incoming calls box.
Edit
Oops never mind.. try restarting your phone
Does my screen need to be unlocked when I get a call to use this feature? My screen is looked and whenever I get a call, with commands to accept or reject the call don't work...kinda mad I wanna be cool and show it off to people lol

You need to turn off vibrate for incoming calls for answer/reject voice commands to work.
Was driving me crazy trying to figure this out until someone mentioned it on another thread. But I'm surprised Samsung doesn't have proper instructions explaining this. Anyways...

Thanks man, I'll disable the vibration. Don't even know why vibration matters.
Also how do I disable it? Do I uncheck sound and vibration or do I turn the vibration intensity for phone calls all the way down?

Does vibration need to be turned off for the clock command to work?

Yes. Just uncheck sound and vibration. The 'vibration off' matters because it gets in the way of hearing your voice. Makes perfect sense. And no, the vibration doesn't need to be turned off for the snooze command.

So even if I leave vibration intensity for phone calls all the way up, unchecking sound and vibration will make my voice command work? Just wanna clear it up. And thanks for your help too, I appreciate it

Yeah, you can have your vibration intensity all the way up, just as long as its not active for incoming calls, by unchecking sound and vibration. This is only needed if you want to use the voice cmd to verbally answer and reject incoming calls. All other voice commands are independent of the vibration settings.

The vibration matters because people will half their phone on a flat surface half the time and it will make a loud buzz sound which will disrupt it from picking up your voice saying reject or answer.
