I have a somewhat similar situation.. After flashing the stock jb ROM, I noticed that the phone only vibrates for the incoming calls and notification, so I was wondering how you did yours maybe it would help me. Thanks.
Similar situation with one of my t989's too. I noticed after updating to Jellies Bean, one of my two doesn't "hear" anything from my end. Someone calls, I can hear them but they just keep saying Hello Hello wether I call them or they call me. So, I opened camera and recorded a test video with camcorder and talked while recording, played it back and didnt hear anything, just a liiiiiittle white noise, like static, but clearly nothing of my voice. It worked before Jellies Bean for sure but ever since, still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Help with a bad ass sgs3 feature

After seeing the sgs3 Verizon commercials showing off voice command in some apps, I figured I'd try it on my sprint sgs3 and it works flawlessly....for the most part...when I receive a call, I keep saying "answer" or "reject" to the point where I'm yelling at the phone, and still no response. The other voice commands work fine, but I want the phone voice command functions to work. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, go to settings--language and keyboard---voice cmd. Attached is a screenshot of my settings within that menu
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
And I know the picture shows otherwise, but my settings are in fact turned on! Just thought I'd clear that up
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I did the same thing. but figured it out. Go to language and input and press on voice cmd and check the incoming calls box.
Edit
Oops never mind.. try restarting your phone
Does my screen need to be unlocked when I get a call to use this feature? My screen is looked and whenever I get a call, with commands to accept or reject the call don't work...kinda mad I wanna be cool and show it off to people lol

You need to turn off vibrate for incoming calls for answer/reject voice commands to work.
Was driving me crazy trying to figure this out until someone mentioned it on another thread. But I'm surprised Samsung doesn't have proper instructions explaining this. Anyways...

Thanks man, I'll disable the vibration. Don't even know why vibration matters.
Also how do I disable it? Do I uncheck sound and vibration or do I turn the vibration intensity for phone calls all the way down?

Does vibration need to be turned off for the clock command to work?

Yes. Just uncheck sound and vibration. The 'vibration off' matters because it gets in the way of hearing your voice. Makes perfect sense. And no, the vibration doesn't need to be turned off for the snooze command.

So even if I leave vibration intensity for phone calls all the way up, unchecking sound and vibration will make my voice command work? Just wanna clear it up. And thanks for your help too, I appreciate it

Yeah, you can have your vibration intensity all the way up, just as long as its not active for incoming calls, by unchecking sound and vibration. This is only needed if you want to use the voice cmd to verbally answer and reject incoming calls. All other voice commands are independent of the vibration settings.

Wouldn't that turn off vibration for notifications though?

The vibration matters because people will half their phone on a flat surface half the time and it will make a loud buzz sound which will disrupt it from picking up your voice saying reject or answer.

Best Call Recorder for Note 2?

I don't need a call recorder on my phone but today I found that I need one for a reason. So which would be the best? Which is the most working one? I've heard all recorders have this or that problem. So which one you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance.

No flashing or anything - must be rooted though.
Many call recorders work fine UNLESS you're using a bluetooth headset. I haven't found a single solution for recording while using one.

Nope.(SG Note 2) Recording both sides of the conversation option didn't record anything. And the other settings either dropped the call or you couldn't hear the person on the other end. (FYI - was using WiFi calling since t-mobile coverage in my house stinks.)
Try sanity from the play store by cristiano. No problems at all. Unlike some other apps which record the other person from the mic this app records from the phone. Perfect audio all the time from both ends. I have the donated version so there is no 2min restriction. Just remember to choose where the audio is recorded from. I think default settings was recording from the mic. I changed it to record from phone.
You also have the options of recording automatically or choosing when to record and stop in the drop down menu during a call. Many other features too.

I installed santiy today. Looks good so far. The only problem is that u need to drag down the notification panel to activate call recording. is there any other software that shows on the main call screen to activate recording? I dont want those apps that record every call automatically. I have a non rooted stock phone. I can live with sanity otherwise.

If it's rooted, go nto System>Apps>Phone'apk (can't remember what its called) and change to .bak...
Phone Apk now disabled but able to be turned on again if needed. Might throw up a few errors though...
I think applocker is a simple solution without root

In this way you don't block calls but make them silent.

I actually had a similar issue, but the other way round. call notifications worked, however notifications did not (the appeared, but no noise/vibration).
I fixed it by downloading the latest firmware from the OnePlus website, and flashing it in TWRP - though you can also sideload it if you still have stock recovery.
