Hello,
I am on Indian version:I9000DDJG4 and have installed the One click Lag fix.
My phone does not show any messages from the USSD codes. If i enter a USSD code that requires an input, it does show me the concerned screen but if any input is not required like in 'prepaid Balance check', it does not show the message at all.
Please help.
Krunal
Soo many days and still no replies.
Looks like I am the only one who is facing this problem.

Hy folks, I used to have an option in sms settings to change special characters(ş, ţ, î) to normal ones to reduce the cost of the sms... The problem is I flashed a new stock firmware (a UK one) and that option is gone. How can I get it back? Is there any app that could help?
Ty!

It costs more to use them?
And do you have an option if you go to settings>keyboard>keyboard language>english or whatever
Or is that the option you don't have?

It costs more becouse with special characters i can send only 60 characters in an sms. And if I put the keyboard in English I can't use swipe and predictions in my language(romanian)...

Do you have the latest update? 2.17? or 1.29?
Yes, I have the latest update... It's something pretty rare, I thought it could be cause it's factory unlock from Singapore and I install Spanish language through morelocale2, I was thinking also that it could be something relate to the Thai language or something but I cannot verify it none of them yet...

Try to send from another program, just to verify if the problem is from the system or just the sms application,
there's such nice third party apps to send & recieve SMS, such as Handcent SMS & Go SMS)
They are available in the play store for free. Try to send by one of them and give us a feedback.
BTW... welcome to Android club :good:
Problem
Try to start-up the phone without an simcard, put the sim in the telephone and restart. This solve the problem for me
Thanks for your replies, definitely it's the sms application, I sent sms from go sms and the message received complete, I will try the sim card solution, I'll let you.know.

I don't think that this is accepted by my carrier and there must be an option to do so without using any external apps.
Thanks for your help and waiting for others to share

So what is your carrier? Vodafone or Etisalat or Mobinil ?? All support it

Guess I've never been able to send an empty SMS with any phone. Other then a space with no letters.
Your ONLY option is to use a third party app like Handcent or GOSMS. No way to do it on the stock messaging app
Use emoji keyboard. . The emoticons don't get sent. ..only empty messages get sent. ..lol
I am on omega v9 rom. ..emoji keyboard is inbuilt

But you do have to input an emoticon first, right? Whether it gets sent or not, is not the issue. The OP needs a Null message to use his service provider's features like checking balance etc. A space, an unsent emoticon is not a Null message.
Thanks everyone for your replies and I tried the suggestion of sending a message that contains only a space and managed to participate in the offers successfully
Thanks for your help and please all accept my sincere regards. You truly helped me

I own an international n7100. The problem is that since last few days I am unable to send sms through my cell. The service number is properly entered but still the same.
any advice to fix it?

You haven't stated if you're still on stock rom or if you flashed.
If stock and using default messaging, contact your service provider as they may be having outages or accidentally changed your provisioning.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

Can you make calls? Can you receive sms ?
Is everything else normal?
