You haven't stated if you're still on stock rom or if you flashed.
If stock and using default messaging, contact your service provider as they may be having outages or accidentally changed your provisioning.

Can you make calls? Can you receive sms ?
Is everything else normal?

Can't send or receive texts

Hey has this happened to anyone? Phone calls work data works but can't send or receive texts... I sent a text at 8am and now at 10am it won't send any... is it carrier related? I didn't change anything from when it was working to now ...

I had the same problem, but it was because I acidently deleted the smsc number. You can try to take out your sim put in another one restart your phone and switch back again. If that dont work you might have deleted the smsc number from your sim.
Then you have to contact your carrier and get the number. Type *#*#4636#*#* and type in the number in the smsc section. Press update then refresh.
I am not sure this is your problem but its my best guess. You can also try another sms app to see if it is a problem with the stock one.
Hope this helps. Also search around the forum. Alot of threads on this problem

Messaging app on stock problems

Does anyone else have issues writing text that are longer than one sms long? If so, is there a fix. This app has had the same issues on each update.
Another problem is when I go to compose a new text and I am typing the person's name in the contacts box it won't show the phone number I am trying to send a message to. It happens when I text my wife. I will type her name and it will show every other phone number she has but her cell phone. Can't seem to figure it out. I went into the contacts app and set her cell as the preferred number and that didn't fix it. I don't think that issue can easily be recreated.
So those are the two issues. Also, are those issues on the custom roms? I would imagine they are at no fault to the devs.

I am a noob but wanted to try and duplicate your issues on my phone.
I am flashed stock ZVB. I use GOSMS but tested the stock messaging app for your questions. I sent 2 text messages that were over the character limit. One sent correctly (1 of 2 and 2 of 2) the other only sent the second half of the second message (2/2).
I did not notice any issues with contact names.
Hope this helps.

[Help] SIP on CM10.1

Hello guys.
I configured a SIP account in CM10.1.
However, it only works when I have "Receive incoming calls" option ON.
I only wanted to make calls with that account, not receive. However, if I have that option off I can't make SIP calls. I dial the number, choose the internet call and something I get the message "Number Unreachable" or simply nothing, the phone app closes itself.
But if I have the option ON I can make SIP calls without problems.
Can someone help me? Do you have the same problem?
I'm using allways the latest nightly.
Hmm, I don't think you can make sip calls if you are not registered with the phone server, but I could be wrong. I use csipsimple, it has an on off widget that may be helpful.
I know I can't.. But if I haven't that option on, the phone supposedly connects to the server whenever I make a sip call.
I used that app, but as cm10.1 provides one, I wanted to use it instead

[Q] mms not sending! help t999L

What would be the reason why I cant send mms on a custom rom 4.3. What can I do to fix that.
p.s. I am able to receive pictures but cant send
What app are you using to send and are you on WiFi calling?

Please only ask your question once. Ive seen it elsewhere already. Thanks!
Are you able to send mms on full stock firmware? May be an apn issue. You should probably consult the rom thread. Its pretty new so others may not have tested or noticed this yet.
