[Q] SMS problem

Hi guys, strange problem is happening with me over last couple of days and as usual Vodafone are no help whatsoever at rectifying it, hopefully someone on here can help.
All of my contacts are working as normal with sms and mms except for one contact. When I try to sms this one contact the phone does not even attempt to send it, it only keeps the typed text in the typing box and leaves the icon flashing as if waiting for more text to be typed! If I add a subject title to the message it will send fine as an mms message to this person and can phone the person all fine...just the sms option not working.
Would appreciate if anyone has any ideas

Try recreate the contact and try not to sync the contact with any web profile you have.

Have tried this mate, even spoke to HTC earlier and the guy was pretty helpful but baffled. Am running tbfusion3d but dont think problem is with that as I've been using it for months. Tried installing handcent app there but same problem, send button just refuses to work with the one contact

Can they send you a sms and then try to reply. Is the phone number stored(typed out) the same as the rest of your contacts? Try adding the number to an existing contact and see what happens. Deft strange tho. Subscribed

You have an extremely rare case here. Even if you've tried to clear the contact? Hmm, I don't think I can help you further no more. Sorry

They can text me fine but replying just draws a blank unless I add a subject title as an mms...really strange

Ran across one of my friends with this same issue but for about 3 of her contacts. Tried everything short of factory reset.
Installed GoSMS and all good.

Problem Sending sms

Hi to everybody,
I have the hox international version, it's my first android phone and I love it, I just having a really rare situation here, when I sent sms the first 2 letters of the message never arrived, I tried to look up in forums, in the phone settings everyware but I cannot find a solution...

Yes, I have the latest update... It's something pretty rare, I thought it could be cause it's factory unlock from Singapore and I install Spanish language through morelocale2, I was thinking also that it could be something relate to the Thai language or something but I cannot verify it none of them yet...

Try to send from another program, just to verify if the problem is from the system or just the sms application,
there's such nice third party apps to send & recieve SMS, such as Handcent SMS & Go SMS)
They are available in the play store for free. Try to send by one of them and give us a feedback.

Problem
Try to start-up the phone without an simcard, put the sim in the telephone and restart. This solve the problem for me

Text Message Question

Hello Folks,
I am using the international version N7100 and no matter whom i send text message to in Chinese it all display question mark on the other ends phones. Any solution that able to fix this issue?

maybe the reason is the other phone doesnt support chinese (simplified and or traditional) characters.

[Q] How to send an empty sms using N7100 ?!!

Hi everone
My question is as stated in the address .. my network carrier has many great offers that requires sending an empty sms to a special number for the subscription, but I've tried many times to send this empty sms but never succeded
Is there a way to do so ?!!
I'm using an not rooted N7100

I don't think that this is accepted by my carrier and there must be an option to do so without using any external apps.

Guess I've never been able to send an empty SMS with any phone. Other then a space with no letters.

Your ONLY option is to use a third party app like Handcent or GOSMS. No way to do it on the stock messaging app

Use emoji keyboard. . The emoticons don't get sent. ..only empty messages get sent. ..lol

But you do have to input an emoticon first, right? Whether it gets sent or not, is not the issue. The OP needs a Null message to use his service provider's features like checking balance etc. A space, an unsent emoticon is not a Null message.

[Help] SIP on CM10.1

Hello guys.
I configured a SIP account in CM10.1.
However, it only works when I have "Receive incoming calls" option ON.
I only wanted to make calls with that account, not receive. However, if I have that option off I can't make SIP calls. I dial the number, choose the internet call and something I get the message "Number Unreachable" or simply nothing, the phone app closes itself.
But if I have the option ON I can make SIP calls without problems.
Can someone help me? Do you have the same problem?
I'm using allways the latest nightly.

Hmm, I don't think you can make sip calls if you are not registered with the phone server, but I could be wrong. I use csipsimple, it has an on off widget that may be helpful.

I know I can't.. But if I haven't that option on, the phone supposedly connects to the server whenever I make a sip call.
I used that app, but as cm10.1 provides one, I wanted to use it instead

You can "star" the issue get notified of changes.
