My experiences with this rom, and some of the previous ones.
The latest version, as well as 3.2 and version 4 pre-release, are not auto updating the market apps after install for me.
This latest release after the initial flash of the rom and gaaps, there was this really cool background that was installed. But since the market wasn't updating I went ahead and tried it again. Now, the market still isn't updating and something has changed with the install. The background has reverted back to the old (and terrilbe, imo) live bubbles background.
I'm using TWRP. I boot into recovery. I clear the dalvik/cache and even did the factory reset option.
I have tried to load my wifi information and google account information on start up.
I have tried loading my wife info and skipping the google account during setup and doing it after the phone sets up.
I have tried skipping wifi and the google info until the phone sets up.
Nada for when it comes to getting the new background and market to auto-update.
These are my experiences. None of these experiences are enough to make me stop using the best ROM ever made. I honestly love what JBSourcery does and will keep using their roms.

when i installed version 4 it gave me the stock bubble background. something is sticking around after your wipe. i am using clockwork, so i cant help with TWRP, but are you doing a full data wipe and not just cache/dalvik?
going from any version to version 4 cannot just be installed, you have to wipe. version 4 is is completely different internally and a "dirty flash" might be what is causing these issues.
hope this helps.

You must wipe dalvik, cache, factory reset and system. I had issues at first. If you do all that then flash ROM and gapps. I even wipe cache and dalvik after. Once you reboot allow apps to auto restore. Reboot recovery and backup before making any changes. Then enjoy.

Rooted with CWM installed. I can successfully flash any 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 ROM and everything works fine. Typical wipe dalvik, cache partitions, data, and /system. But after a few minutes, if I touch any of "my apps" in Market I get a force close of Market. I've tried going to settings/apps/all and wiping Market cache and data. Still a no go. Market is FC on 4.0.2 OTA also, now. I tried fixing permissions inside CWM and that did not help.
If I uninstall Market updates in settings/apps/all ("back to factory version"??), then Market will work for a few minutes, then revert to the same behavior.
I am attaching a logcat of the Market force close. If anyone can decipher this and provide some recommendations, I would appreciate it very much.
Edit: FWIW, I first noticed this problem when I was running Google's 2-step verification process. This got to be a PITA each time I flashed a new ROM (there's so much new candy in the store!). So, I turned 2-step off. Didn't seem to make a difference with this problem, though.

OK i have a strange issue with market 3.4.4 for which i can't localize the cause.
The effect is that "market stops working" when clicking an application to open the details page...searching for apps works ok.
If i uninstall updates (settings - apps), it reverts to 3.3.12 which works fine. Eventually it updates itself back to 3.4.4 and same issues occur.
I have this effect on both AOKP b21 and ARHD 2.1.4, as soon as i install ANY kind of themed apps (nitroz's or TP's rootzwiki individual mods).
I have a fresh install (wipe, superwipe, manual wipe, the hell with it, clear dalvik, cache, everything) of ARHD 2.1.4...installed hoolm's circle battery mod and ****ed up the market eventually. I previously tried Nitroz's v3.6 on both ARHD and AOKP and the same problem occurs.
What the hell is going on?
What's the chance that 3 different devs make the same mistake and mess up framework or something?!
Have you tried deleting Market 3.4.4 cache and data after the update?
Have you deleted any system apps? I noticed that if I remove NFC, Market crashes.
I've been having a problem with 3.4.4 also. The market works but my video tab in the main page disappears. Plus a couple of apps also say that they're not compatible with my phone. Like hexsyn, Facebook, friencaster...I've reverted back to older versions and cleared data and cache. Nothing works

i actually wanted to install ROMManager to backup my stuff damn....guess CWM is the way but no need to backup now since market is f0cked ...

did all possible permutations, believe me
i'm not usually posting at the first sign of issues....problem is now i want to install aLogCat to check the logs but i can't get it from the market, damn
Damn!!! NFC is the root of all problems...
i manually copied it over from the ROM package to /system/app, rebooted and now market works fine....
THanks @jhericurls!
Sorry I have two questions - I am new to the ROM deal and have tried for, literally, hours to figure this out. I installed CM10 stable and my browser would crash every 3 minutes while using it. Thus, I downloaded the OTA and installed that and the same deal happened.
Is there any fix to getting the browser working right? I've tried Chrome too - same deal.
Also, for OTA updates, nightlies etc, do I have to wipe davlik and cache, just davlik or cache, or neither? I've heard conflicting stuff. I've already backed up apps and certain system stuff on titanium backup. I have TWRP installed, I don't think I am using clockwork even that I had flashed that too. When I go into recovery it shows TWRP.
Thanks
Browser crashes seem to be common on most Android devices since last Saturday:

I have the same problem.
I recently updated my Galaxy Nexus ROM to Paranoid android based on 4.2. I noticed a few issues...
After upgrading I stopped getting Facebook notifications.
DashClock widget is showing up as incapable in the Play Store.
I can no longer get play store apps pushed to the device through a browser.
I can't sign in to Google Plus. My google account shows sync errors (everything but Google Plus is syncing).
I tried a factory reset because I suspected Titanium Backup might have caused problems. I tried using the Google stock ROM (4.2.1). Nothing fixed it. Note that I didn't have issues with previous versions of Paranoid Android. I have done some googling and forum searching to no avail. Help is appreciated, thanks.
I do presume you've wiped all caches through twrp or cwm?
If not, then do so and reinstall the ROM again.
Helpful advice: when upgrading, unless you absolutely MUST, don't restore apps or data with TB. Many users reported instability issues after doing so. Always download fresh apps from the play store

Yes, I wiped all Caches before upgrading. I will try again without restoring.
I like to switch up ROMs a lot, going back and forth between Sense ROMs and sometimes to AOSP/CM-based ones. Typically, I wipe everything and install from a fresh download, check MD5s, etc. I don't back up and restore apps with Titanium Backup either.
Today I reflashed Team Ecliptic Revamped v3. It booted fine, etc. I reinstalled a lot of apps fresh from the Play Store and set everything up, logging into the usual Facebook, Twitter, eBay, etc.
Then at some point I wanted to get Xposed installed along with some modules and had to reboot. When I did, everything I'd installed from the Play Store was gone. l tried to update Google Play Services but it wouldn't allow it. I cleared data from anything/everything that I thought could be involved, but that did no good. Then I tried removing my Google account and reinstating it. Now it wouldn't allow me to log into Google at all.
I had no choice but to restore a Nandroid of another ROM.
Then I tried flashing the port of the OnePlus CM version (v2), which ran great for me a week or two ago. All of the above happened again.
What am I missing here? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
p.s. Is it just me or are the custom recoveries acting screwy lately? I have the darndest time getting the latest TWRP (MDMower's 2.7.1.3-beta) to flash anything, and the latest Philz I could find for M7VZW, which I think goes back to early July, isn't much better.

TWRP updated today to 2.8 (http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7vzw)
as for playstore, i havent heard of this before. Try the new TWRP and do a full wipe and report back and i will try to troubleshoot with you.
I installed the new TWRP version but it makes no difference. I reflashed One Plus CM 11 as a test. It flashed fine, ran great, and then I rebooted for Xposed and... boom. Same problem. Maybe I need to RUU and start fresh?
