Need LTE tester - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

As title says, basically need someone in an LTE area to test some things on a CM build. Knowing how to use ADB is a must. Let me know if you can help.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

I'm only half qualified. I live in lte area but I've barely any knowledge of adb
Edit: but I follow directions very well

I have a little knowledge. I could test later when I get off. ..I have LTE at my house but once I cross the street here at the firehouse and its gone.....hows that work? Lol
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

I could test as well. I am willing to be used as a guiena pig. So that everybody else who has lte could have an lte working cm phone. Please instruct me and I will do want you want me to do.
My knowledge on adb is minimum. But I follow directions very well.

gchat me.
like most of the people above, i live in an LTE city (down the street from Apple HQ. quite interesting numbers when posted up right in front of the entrance..pretty interesting beceause on s4gru the map shows there isn't supposed to be an LTE tower there. only conclusion i come up with is is that it is Apple's personal tower that happens to be turned on for testing) but have limited adb knowledge. i love thinking logically. send me a set of instructions and i'll get it done.

Is it necessary to be sarcastic? The time you spent be an educated you know what, you could have made the decision to either give a direct answer or not answer at all.

Calm down "bro". He did give a direct answer as there are only two modes (Three if you want auto) GSM and WCDMA. If one's not the correct one then obviously the other one has to be it. On a side note, he's helped the community much more than you have so...

Galaxy note 2 and simultaneous voice and data

I just picked up this phone and can't get on the internet while on a phone call. Does it support simultaneous voice and data while on 3g like the galaxy s3? I changed mobile settings but still no go.

I thought the simultaneous-ness was due to the S4 Snapdragon and it's radio's being placed in different places.
I had this work on my HTC EVO LTE
WHAT??!! This was huge on the S3. Man, I'm thinking twice about upgrading to the Note2 now.
This phone really can't do simultaneous voice+data? Exynos fail.
I believe Sprint 3G never support simulteneous voice/data. When you make a call data drop to 2G. That said, 4G WiMax can be use with voice. I believe LTE is or will be also, but I don't remember for sure.

To each their own, but the simultaneous voice and data was a nicety, not a necessity.
Sent from the second version of a hefty "Note" pad.
I was thinking about getting the S3 because of this, but I'm almost always around Wifi at home & work. The phone can do voice & data assuming it has either a Wifi or LTE connection, right?
Also and somewhat related, is the Note 2 HD voice ready? I'll be moving to an LTE covered area in the near future, so I'm REALLY hoping for a yes on this.

I love it. Here comes all the jealous and hating owners of other phones trying to say our phone sucks cause they can't chat and surf the web at the same time. I say big freaking deal who the hell talks that much anyways any needs internet at the same time? Is it really a deal breaker? I seriously doubt it. All you guys would swap phones with us in an instant.

The assumption here is that when LTE hits "our" market, you will be able to do this correct?
For me, I assist my kids' soccer teams. There is nothing like having a parent call you for directions and being able to mark their current location then provide real time directions from their current location.
So, yes, to "some" of us it is important.
Deal breaker, no, "if" its coming.

I agree that it's not a huge deal. Just an annoyance. Sometimes I am downloading small files from internet on 3g at work(no Wi-Fi ) and receive a call. If I answer, download fails, so I either can't answer the call or have to restart download. With my slow 3g that is kind of a pain in ass.

Having left Apple after being an iPhone owner since the 3rd generation, I can say that I am neither jealous or a hater... But, not having Voice and Data is just "stupid" especially when it was on the S3, which I would venture to guess is where a lot of Note 2 users will be migrating from... Just my 2cents...

I see where's he's coming from. No need to call him dumb.
Most companies (who offered service in D.C.) already had 4G in D.C. whether it was HSPA+ or LTE.
Let's hope they are!
His reply was scoffing, therefore he gets one back. He can not point blank say he thinks the ops an idiot all he wants, but you can tell he thinks it in his post so IMO he may as well have said it. And again, only an absolute idiot would think the op meant anything other than Washington.

Please don't say that's an excuse for not knowing dc... cause its definitely not. That would be like us hearing Ontario and not associate it with canada.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
First of all, thanks for calling me an "absolute idiot". If you read my post, I clearly spelled out "Washington, DC." That's not the problem. The problem, as I already explained, is "DC 4g" by itself is vague. I was hoping for something related to DC-HSPA+ (a different type of 4G that's not LTE, but comparable in speeds), not DC the state. If I had knew that the post would be about DC the state, I wouldn't have clicked it, because I don't live anywhere near, or care about, DC the state. Heck, if you wrote "Possible 4g testing in DC", then that would solve it, and without insulting anyone's intelligence (See? Now I know what DC means!). Even better, tag it with "[Sprint]" so that those of us on Verizon or GSM carriers can ignore it! Fewer trolls in your thread, more happiness all around. Win-win.
TL;DR: I didn't like the thread title. If I were mod, I would edit it, but I'm not. Instead, I asked politely and get called a moron. Good job.
You should probably find something more important to gripe about other than the few seconds you lost looking at this. Your time can't be that valuable considering how much time you have put into griping about it. The mods likely have more important things to concern themselves with than your individual confusion.
As for Sprint 4g in DC, it's been in some parts for about 2 months now. Started around 14th & U and spread from there. Some in MD and VA around DC. Check out Sensorly.com and S4GRU.com for more information.

4G LTE finally in Seattle area!!

I'm browsing on my phone and noticed the notification icon said 4G instead of 3G today, thinking it's just a glitch since I flashed a new rom recently, I did a speed test to make sure. Sure enough, I'm getting over 16Mbps download speed. Finally!

How bout taking the time to read all the threads starting from the top? You do know theres a sticky about lte where folks like yourself that gets excited about lte can share it there instead of making a new thread. This, for some reason, has been abandoned on newer devices, such as GS4, HTC One, etc. Even the Note II isn't capable of it.

Good to know that you don't care, I didn't post it for you. And again, it's not only on LTE or wifi, can't speak for 3g, though because I haven't run into anything less than 4g, which handles voice and data just fine whether it be MMS, browsing, or downloading. Good to know that Sprint still sucks though, I'm sure your assumption of superiority comes from assuming Sprint sets the bar for other networks.

Wow nice, take a reading course since that wasn't meant towards you. I made the first post saying I had no idea the s4 didn't support svdo. You commented on that you can on your note. So I decided to do some research, my remarks clearly are just stating that I would never have read up on other devices since I'm not a user if them so I don't care to read about their specs.
Now since your are an A## I will point out that you have a device and know nothing about it. To come on and say "'I do it all the time"' when clearly your device does not support Svdo is just plain noobness.
And your stating "And again, it's not only on LTE or wifi, can't speak for 3g"
If it's not only then what else you have some magical data that no one else has? YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT SVDO that's the fact. Read and learn.
Technically your device is big for nothing because it can't do what mine can:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

If you're on a GSM variant of the Note II, it is possible to use 3G and data at the same time. You cannot be on 3G data and voice simultaneously on a Note II that's CDMA. The chipset doesn't allow it. You can be on 4G and voice at the same time.
