Doesn't T-Mobile's Note 2 Come with 50GB Free DropBox? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Doesn't T-Mobile's Note 2 Come with 50GB Free DropBox?
If so, what is the procedure for claiming the 50GB?

Open an Dropbox account from your note 2. And recieved an email with a confirmation with your 50Gb!!

Yes open drop box... even if u already has a existing account it will change the size automatically. .. :]
Sent from my Tmobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2

But, if you already received a promotion in the past (I had an S3, and a Nexus 7, both has the 50gb offer) and you use the same account with dropbox, you are SOL. You can open a new account, however, and get it that way.

Thanks; is there any expiration date?

What the flip, I just checked mine from my note2 n I only have 2 gb of space?? How do I get 50gb? Any help will b appreciated, thanks.

You need to log into dropbox account on PC and follow the various goals that it requires you to do to get the 50 Gig. You should have gotten an email and you will need to click on the link in there.

Confirmed. Was pretty easy after Id set it up on both android and ubuntu mint 14 All I had to do was put a file in it , reccomend a email addy and something else locally i forgot but was local and near instant .

I received an additional 50 GB when I signed in on my Note. This was the 2nd free 50 GB I've gotten.

nexus 7? I don't think it's on nexus 7. dropbox is a Samsung thing as far as I know. I believe LG has 50gb free on Google Drive or some other cloud service that's available Nexus 4.

Your right, sorry, it was a note 10.1 that my wife got me (but I brought back).

50GB is a lot. Though DropBox is buggy, its still quick and easy for me.

Count me in as 1 who got a second additional 50 gigabytes just by logging into Dropbox on my Note 2. That's 100 free gigabytes thanks to Samsung, Between my S3 and N2.

Dropbox 23gb {it's a dud}

Does anyone have the xda modded app to get 23gb on dropbox!??
Can u upload here please?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
the highest free space you can get from DropBox is 12 GB
then just recently DropBox added 3 Gig max if you enable photo+video upload from the phone
but they only give you increments of 500 Mb as you max out the previous usage
so even if you combine all that it still maxes out at 15 GB
where did you hear that 23 GB from?

Also, if you Google "dropbox 23gb" a few articles show up.
I don't believe that mod is supported here. so yes you will have to take your search outside of xda for that.

How would they charge you money when they have no financial information on file? At least they don't for me. They can't charge you, they would only revert your account back to normal but by the time 2 years was up I can guarantee they will leave your account alone because by that time there will be a ton of other competitors who will offer a ton more for free.

Valid point. A lot of companies are coming up with cloud storage. Seem like dropbox will continue to offer people more opportunity to increase their storage space or people will drop dropbox. Box seem promising but too early to say. Besides 2years is a long time enjoy it while you can.

Does not work on my Note 2 either. I have to manually type in the Card info.
ChargeAnywhere readers and Galaxy Note 2 II
I haven't been able to get audio-jack credit card readers to work with my T-Mobile SGH-T889 Galaxy Note 2, including one from IDTECH called the Shuttle, and another branded by ChargeAnywhere. It seems that they are not able to connect to the app. When doing the Setup Peripheral Devices routine, I notice that the phone vibrates once, then the sound icon shows mute and vibrated, which seems incorrect to me. I can't find any settings in the system that seem to relate to it.
I wonder if the 4-ring connector in the Samsung devices might not work with such readers, even though they have a tip and 3 other rings; the upper ring seems not fully engaged at least in one reader (I am not sure if that contact is used or not).
My biggest problem with PayPal is that nobody sends me any money!

I can't believe it is working on your Note 2. The credit card reader still won't read for me. I tried it while unrooted and it didn't help. I think that I read that it works on non-stock ROMs.
Also, my phone is rooted, but root is disabled and still the same thing.
I can't get it to work on any cleanroms..I will check cleanrom 4.7 after it is done loading and I have everything set up buy Paypal has been a pain in the a s s. Square register works fine though.

One catch is that they limit your uploads to 100MB per file, unless you start paying them.
You can get a free 50GB from mega.co.nz without that restriction. Also, mega does in-browser encryption before uploading, which is good for privacy. They never see your encryption key, so they can't decrypt your files even if they want to.
But isn't this whole thread off-topic here?

I signed up and got the Box app on my phone. Now I have a weird issue: if a gmail comes in and I attempt to open it via clicking on the notification in the notification window, a box opens asking which app I want to use to open the email, Gmail or Box? Naturally, I choose Gmail, whereupon the phone hangs for a few seconds, then reboots.
Same thing here. It happened on two seperate occasions but no reboot. I had to pull the battery. It hasn't happened since. Goes straight to my gmail without the choice now.
Sign up with each of your emails and you get 50GB x number of your email address. If you have your own domain Email [email protected] not a [email protected] or hotmail.com.... your can share the 50GB with other employees with same domain Email *@yourBiz.com. So what I did was created 10 new email accounts called [email protected], [email protected],.......,[email protected] then set up all ten accounts with Box then I created 1 folder in each account named the same as the account folder1,folder2.....,folder10 then I share all the folders with 1 main Box account "[email protected]" and give it permissions to add and edit the folder. Then when I log into the "[email protected]" account there will be 10 folders called folder1,folder2,.....,folder10 each folder is 50Gb and you can add and edit all 11x50Gb folders from the one account:^) *plus you can access all your other Box 50GB accounts from 1 Box account by sharing folders.

You can download multiple files at ones actually and the limit is 250 mb. I think dropbox also has these limitations. However it does not include the photo sync, which is a feature I don't use anyway.
Most cloud sites have an upload and download limitation but this one gives the most storage that is found free.

There it is : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40037902
(That's a strange coincidence...)
I'm still trying to understand the purpose of that tutorial.

I made it for a forum where not everybody knows how to do those things properly like xda members could. For exemple many of them didn't know what a cloud was
So eventually it could seem to be a useless tutorial where just a trick is enough, but that's just BBCode copy/paste, so I post it
AND eventually other people are satisfied with it even if "you don't see the purpose" :victory:

Worthwhile Apps, Games, Movies, etc with $50 Credit

So for those of you that didn't know, Samsung is giving $50 Free for buying Note 3.
See original Thread Here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534883
Source > http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...lay-credit-just-for-buying-the-phone-us-only/
----------------------------
BUT that is not the main purpose of this thread. This thread is for seeing what other people will do with a Free $50 Google Play Store Credit.
I've been debating the following:
1. Buying a couple games that previously were too much for me
A. The Walking Dead Game
B. Drastic (Nintendo DS Emulator)
2. I considered a movie or music but I already have all access and movies seem like a waste
3. I don't know if it's possible but can this credit go toward Nexus devices
So the question is, what will you do with those $50 extra dollars? Anything good out there that is worth using some or all of this credit for. I'm interested to learn about apps, games, etc that I may not otherwise have heard of before having free money.
Usually too much, but since it's free List (ongoing)
.The Walking dead Game
.GTA Vice City
.Modern Combat 4
.Drastic
.PPSSPP Gold
.Shady sms and shady picture safe.
.Power Amp
.Modern combat 4
.Xda premium
.Ninja sms pro
.Tasker
.Nova Launcher pro
.Fast burst camera
.titanium back-up(root users)
.Gran theft auto 3
Movie rentals and games.

How long does it take to get the credit? I already signed up for it. Got my confirmation code. But no email yet

Well the credit thing isn't working anymore. I keep arriving late to these free parties. I'm starting to feel like the un luckiest person ever lol. First the note registration and now this...

So now it says no more available but those who got a confirmation code should still get the promotion. Let's see if Samsung follows through
Are you rooted?
If so, consider purchasing the full or pro version of things.
Like titanium backup, root explorer, region away etc...
That's what I've done.
I am considering a couple of games. The Gameloft titles are pretty awesome in this device. But I haven't pulled the trigger on any.
The credit is only good for apps books movies etc... NOT valid for any hardware or devices in the store.

I got mine within five minutes but had to search inbox because it was under updates or promotions forget which one.

Not rooted on this device yet. But thats a great idea. I have titanium pro, clockwork pro, and a couple other must haves. Considering BeyondPod pro key because I use that a lot for podcasts.
Also it was working before they ran out.

Google play has a bunch of albums from the 90s on sale right now. I'll probably use it mostly on music.
