Dropbox 23gb {it's a dud} - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Does anyone have the xda modded app to get 23gb on dropbox!??
Can u upload here please?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA

the highest free space you can get from DropBox is 12 GB
then just recently DropBox added 3 Gig max if you enable photo+video upload from the phone
but they only give you increments of 500 Mb as you max out the previous usage
so even if you combine all that it still maxes out at 15 GB
where did you hear that 23 GB from?

Try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23722359
Also, if you Google "dropbox 23gb" a few articles show up.

I don't believe that mod is supported here. so yes you will have to take your search outside of xda for that.
as they say; google is your friend.

The mods closed the other thread for a reason. Best you try searching my friend.

This time, we work around the 23GB of extra space for 2 years, that originally applies to Sense 4.0 phones

blah! waste of time
it means they will charge you money else close your account after 2 years....
no thanks, not worth the trouble
i rather keep my 11 GB free for life in Dropbox or the 50 GB free for life on Box.net

How would they charge you money when they have no financial information on file? At least they don't for me. They can't charge you, they would only revert your account back to normal but by the time 2 years was up I can guarantee they will leave your account alone because by that time there will be a ton of other competitors who will offer a ton more for free.
Box.net = Boring..... End.of.story.period.

Valid point. A lot of companies are coming up with cloud storage. Seem like dropbox will continue to offer people more opportunity to increase their storage space or people will drop dropbox. Box seem promising but too early to say. Besides 2years is a long time enjoy it while you can.

I picked it up a few minutes ago. Usually I'd wait for a sale in a few months, but I had overpaid my bill and had like a 30 dollar credit anyways, so I grabbed it.
Some are complaining about the download size, but for some reason it says 1.37 gig must be free in the market description, yet after installing and running for the first time, it only says it needs to download 748 mb. That's really not so bad, considering I'm going to delete MC2 and SD data if this one works well. It's only about 150 more mb on sd than MC2 was. Either way, I'll check back soon to let everybody know how it's working on the epic!

Does this work well with our Epic's what is the OC Needed and what are running.
I mean im on CM7 and when i play GTA 3 @ 1500/1000 vr/performance after 10 mins of playing time my battery is heated up to 110*F
What do you use for playing this game? And is it smooth?
For me, I run it as a normal app, vr lagfree 100-1000... works well enough

As to MC3, I was able to run it on my MTD Legendary 2.2 ROM without OCing with no lag.

I was just going to say that. I suppose Samsung could ***** about copyright with torrents too.
I doubt Samsung is the one causing the ruckus with they themselves using portions with open source licensing. This is MPAA/RIAA.

I guess more upload sites may do the same thing?
I'm guess these sites were surprised that the US made arrest out of the country,so they guess nobody is safe from prosecution

ok but did you originally buy it to download larger files faster? or primarily for your personal files?
i mean i was able to store it for a few personal files too,but never need a premium service for that
looks like the benefit of buying premium would be for to download large files in parallel for stuff thats not mine......
(i ask before i hear people saying a lot of legitamate files were lost, but wondering if legitimate users paid for premium service)

So what do you think? Are the options for hosting roms getting less? Should i/we start throwing out torrent mirrors? I'm up for it. I'm not fast but I'm willing to lend a hand. I'm sure jerdog would have to be informed of this and see if its kosher with him.
Traffic wise, I'm sure there wouldn't be tens of thousands of people leeching off e4gt roms/kernels/modems/themes/etc.
Http might eventually dry up, ftp can create security issues, hosting costs money. I doubt you could host it on sourceforge.

Box 50 gb for LG devices

I have been using Dropbox as my cloud storage for years. But due to the limited space I needed something else. I found box a couple of years ago with an action for 50gb for free but it didn't have a desktop client. Coming today they have and they have a great action for us Mako users.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
You can download multiple files at ones actually and the limit is 250 mb. I think dropbox also has these limitations. However it does not include the photo sync, which is a feature I don't use anyway.
Most cloud sites have an upload and download limitation but this one gives the most storage that is found free.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I've got no limitations on my dropbox (perhaps because of how long I've had it) but free 50GB on an account I was using just as another backup for all my photos? Hell yeah.
Gotta save what little space Picasa gives
I'm pretty sure there is no limits while on Wi-Fi... I uploaded 2 twrp backups without issue

I made it for a forum where not everybody knows how to do those things properly like xda members could. For exemple many of them didn't know what a cloud was
So eventually it could seem to be a useless tutorial where just a trick is enough, but that's just BBCode copy/paste, so I post it
AND eventually other people are satisfied with it even if "you don't see the purpose" :victory:

Worthwhile Apps, Games, Movies, etc with $50 Credit

So for those of you that didn't know, Samsung is giving $50 Free for buying Note 3.
See original Thread Here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534883
Source > http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...lay-credit-just-for-buying-the-phone-us-only/
----------------------------
BUT that is not the main purpose of this thread. This thread is for seeing what other people will do with a Free $50 Google Play Store Credit.
I've been debating the following:
1. Buying a couple games that previously were too much for me
A. The Walking Dead Game
B. Drastic (Nintendo DS Emulator)
2. I considered a movie or music but I already have all access and movies seem like a waste
3. I don't know if it's possible but can this credit go toward Nexus devices
So the question is, what will you do with those $50 extra dollars? Anything good out there that is worth using some or all of this credit for. I'm interested to learn about apps, games, etc that I may not otherwise have heard of before having free money.
Usually too much, but since it's free List (ongoing)
.The Walking dead Game
.GTA Vice City
.Modern Combat 4
.Drastic
.PPSSPP Gold
.Shady sms and shady picture safe.
.Power Amp
.Modern combat 4

.Ninja sms pro

.Fast burst camera
.titanium back-up(root users)
.Gran theft auto 3

How Many Apps Do You Install On Your Phone?

Plain and Simple. How Many apps do you have installed on your Phone, Not Including System Apps
Also If you Don't Mind Listing them.
One hundred something. I don't know the exact number off the top of my head. That's what I love about the S4...so much memory that you don't have to worry about running out of space unless you install a lot of games (which I don't). Apps2SD solves that problem, too.

It lets you add apps to observe for updates without having to install them. Currently i only use it to get an overview of changes to my all my installed apps since the play store sucks for that. This app shows changelogs all on one screen. It's really well made
My name is scoob and I'm a recovering appaholic... I used to download just about any app for any task i could find. I had apps on my phone that i never once used. It was like hardcore app hoarding...I used to have like 140-170 apps total, but I have since cut waaaay back. Backups used to take forever. I'm proud to say, I now only have a total of about 56

This gave me a good laugh because it hit so close to home! I had to purge my collection of useless apps I had a while back as well...
I have around 120 but lately I've been doing some app pruning and getting rid of ones that I haven't opened lately.
I probably have around 50 or so.
You guys got a lot of apps! I user to have about 40 apps, but I realized that I didnt use most of them. So now I have about 20 apps, if I urgently need an app I download them at the time.
Sometimes I keep looking for some games that I might like, but rarely find some lol
325 total with 6 gb's left for more

I have 302 installed, with a few gigs of free space.
I have 1562 user apps backed up with Titanium Backup though. I restore apps as I need them, so depends on how long since i've flashed a new rom.
What's the point of having a phone with a ton of free space? It's just wasted potential to me.
Usually around 50-60.
