i connect the phone through my car's radio via bluetooth. when i start up my car, and after the connection is made, the bluetooth drops and restarts about 20-25 seconds in. once it reconnects, it will continue this cycle. i have found that if i press the next song button it will play ok, though only about half of the track tags will display.
i am running the Team VeNuM - STOCK L900VPALJC - DEODEXED AND ODEXED with the perseus kernel.
I dont know if you have noticed this with regular radio, but the radio looses power when you turn your car over in most post 2001 cars... the windshield wipers stop, the cabin lights get dimmer... the only thing that doesn't loose power is the 22v ports... so it's a car problem, not a phone problem

Mine was doing that with CM but only when plugged in.
Delete car mode unless you actually use it.

Do you have Titanium back up installed? if not install it, it will be in there.
I don't know the cause of the problem, I had the same exact thing happen to me and I was like WTF?
Even after I deleted it, it still popped up a couple times before I rebooted the phone a few times and it hasn't came up since (about 2 weeks now).

Have you tried to go to settings>applications>running services>choose force stop on maps. ?
So, I just unplugged my phone from the charger and what do you know, car mode enabled lol...you think its something on my sd card maybe??
Ok, I think my phone is possessed! Now, not only does it go into car mode, it disables it and reenables it. So while my phone is off, it turns on with the car mode icon n the notification area, and then turns off and the icon disappears. After a minute it does the whole sequence all over again!! I think the devil lives in my phone and is just f$?!&@ with me....smh

does it still do that if you freeze car mode apk? Or uninstall it? I saw someone that even with the apk uninstalled it continued but i should think freezing or uninstalling is worth a shot. I'll also ask him if he ever got his fixed...

I've downloaded titanium back up and can't find the .apk I don't think I have car panel installed on my phone anywhere but it just wants to enable car mode, I know it sounds weird
This car mode issue is caused by a problem with the USB port. It is sensing that it's connected to a car dock, so it launches car mode. You might need to unroot and take your phone into Sprint to get it fixed.

It happens when my phone is not connected to the charger though.
It's a hardware problem with the USB port. Something happens and it always thinks it's connected to a car dock. 2 of my 4 phones have had this problem. Both had to be replaced.

Yes, that's exactly the problem. It senses a car dock connection even when nothing is connected to the USB port.

So I am not the only one this is happening to.
I have the Telus variant of this phone, stock. Talking to their tech support, they would have you believe that this is only happening to you.
When phone is first turned on, bluetooth works fine for trip into work. I turn bluetooth off when I get to work and leave the phone on for the day.
I turn bluetooth back on when leaving work and it is intermittent weather it will connect or not. If you go to the bluetooth screen and tap to turn on bluetooth, it shows "turning on..." but does not turn on, no check mark in the check box. After about 30 seconds it stops trying.
At other times it shows it is on and connected to my speaker-phone. When I get an incoming call, the phone will ring instead of the speaker-phone. If you try to answer using the phone you get nothing because it is connected to the speaker-phone but not transmitting.
I am on my 3rd bluetooth speaker-phone, 2 blueant S4's and a Jabra freeway. I have had connection issues with all devices.
I have sent my phone into Telus repair twice and they did a factory flash the first time. The second time I was given a refurbished S2X. The problem is still there even on the replacement device.
The connection issues don't seem to have any consistency factors, ie after running a certain app and it is hard to recreate for Telus staff at store when trying to show the problem.
Lately if you try multiple times to turn on bluetooth when the connection issue is happening, the phone will lock up and turn itself off. At this point I have to remove and re-install the battery or the phone won't turn on.
We have a hands free driving law in Ontario so I need bluetooth to work.
I hope Telus and Samsung can get their heads together to sort this out. I am really starting to get frustrated with this problem.
Hey guys I seem to be having an issue with my phone where when I plug in a pair of headphones it for some reason changes my home button to open the clock app and makes every incoming call anwser with the speakerphone even after I take the headphones out. The only way to fix it I have found is to take out the battery for 15 seconds and then put it back in (I am doing this about 3 times daily). From what I can tell it looks like my xp thinks its in a dock and is acting accordingly. If you could guys could help me out or even give me a way to prevent it that would be great. I am on an unlocked rodgers r800a running cyanogenmod 7. Any feedback is appriciated.
Thanks
Anyone?

Nothing really I just sold my ipod and started using my play to listen to music and noticed it happening. It happend once before but I didn't know what caused it then I read up on it and saw a guy on another forum had the same problem and taking the battery out fixed it. Then when it started happening a lot I experimented with it and figured out it was when I plug in any pair of headphones it messes up.

Tried backing up only important programs and data, then reflashing back to stock?
It goes into dock mode if power is plugged in, then you plug in headphones. To fix it, unplug power, then unplug and replug your headphones.

well, i was told this problem did not exist in the note 2 but apparently it seems that it does stateside. i use my phone daily in my car to connect to the appradio 2 via bluetooth. with the note 2 every time you connect you must confirm the pairing request number by hitting OK. is there any possible way around this? this pairing request was a common complaing amongs gs3 users as well. however, i always used CM10 and the problem didn't exist on aosp roms.
am i missing something is there anyway around this? it definitely isn't a setting on my radio as i changed nothing and the previous phone connected automatically every time.

I don't have to confirm anything when I connect to Bluetooth in my car. I get in, put it in its holder, plug power in, Tasker turns on BT, and it connects, no confirmation.

I have the avh-4300 and for some reason auto connect was set to off. I hadn't changed it myself but that was the reason I wasn't connecting automatically.

It's nothing special. It's the universal windshield mount from Sprint. I've been using it for long enough that the padding in the clamp is kind of worn wide enough that the N2 *just* fits, if I slide it in from the top, with the clamp wide open. No need to put the phone in, and snug up the sides. Just slide it down into the foam.

This happens on mine as well. No need to do anything but no need for an extra screen prompt
I have also had this problem, any fix yet?
I had the same problem, fixed after factory reseting my car DVD
Hi,
I disassamble my HTC One X to clean the microphone hole. Put it back together and then noticed some static noise coming form the earpiece. So I took it apart again. I tried to figure out what was wrong with the earpiece... No clue. So I applied a bit of pressure to the earpiece. I turned the phone back on while still without the backcover and earpiece now seemed fine. Before reassembling it I decided it would be better to turn it off. Which is quite hard without the button. And this is where something must have gone wrong. I pressed down quiet hard on power button and now the screen won't go one again. I never really manage to turn it off.
The power button still seems to be working. If I push it for five seconds the home button and the other two will flash. But apart from that nothing much happens. Plugin the phone in makes the led glow red.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here? Any ideas are welcome!
Thx,
TiredHornet
Keep it plugged in for a while and retry. I'm not saying that your battery is drained, but it maybe acts like it somehow (happened to me a few times).
Good luck.
