I'v been working in a interesting proyect. A little port of Halo for Windows Phone. There i'll be a lot of work to do, but i'v do some things, like the menu, the models, the music, and i'v build a prototype of this.
There is a proof of concept of the game.
youtube.com/embed/SBeNZB725f8
The map in 'History' mode that i'm showing in the video is really weird, no collisions, really bad controls, etc... I'm rebuilding all of these things.
Right now i'm working on cinematics, and some other interesting things, like menu messages, or original weapons, vehicles, panoramics, etc...
I'll write more when i have some news!
Greetings!
UPDATE (3/2/2013)
Some time without news! I have to do other things also
I'v been working a little more on the port and i've added some more interesting things like more cinematics, more models, some Halo music, some vehicles,
and the Master Boss (at least).
At the time, the game is only 614 lines code but it will be increased
Enjoy this screenshot

Looking forward to it
I am also looking forward to this one :good:
In the future when publishing you should change the name though, because microsoft might not approve that one for the marketplace .
Looks great :good:
Also, if you need any beta testers, i'm up for it! i have an unlocked HD7. just let me know
Got a unlocked HTC trophy, also interested in beta testing it...
Cool, great, nice
Looks really good and i am waiting for this now. although you have got many beta testers already, but if you need more do pm me or email me. i have HD7 with fully unlocked Ansar 7.8 ROM (7.10.8835.35). Best of luck for further development :good:
I will buy this. Even if I have access to a free XAP, I will buy this. This sort of work is epic.
It's too bad we got a teaser and nothing else from the OP. IS the Op still working on this or is it just a image of a dream that we could see ?
Great Work!!
You sir. Deserve my like and my money once finished. If you need any help on graphics (2d) please let me know.
:good:
I really wish the OP would post back to see if he/she is working on this or if there is any progress with it.
The OP only has 2 posts on this site, I sent him a PM to see if he could post a progress update or if he is still working on it or not.
This would be epic so I am looking forward to seeing more...
Hmm... Are you guys seriously waiting for the release or demo? Could you imagine how much work/time/money/resources required that kind of game?
I would like to join in on this project I have many assets for custom halo content I have ben making Halo CE maps sense 2002 started way back with gearbox softwhare. on halo 1 and I have hd2 fully unlocked wp7.8
I have a low-end Windows Phone (HTC Arrive) that I can test on!

The current CEntrilo version will only work on older versions of Ventrilo. The developer of CEntrilo has released files related to his software so that someone may take up the challenge to update his program. I have verified that the user name and password are still correct.
Let this thread be dedicated to building a working version of CEntrilo for 3.0 vent servers. We could call it "CEntrilo XDA" unless someone else has a better idea.

hi,
since i dont find some spare time to update CEntrilo, i made the SVN public.
http://svn.g3gg0.de/svn/default/trunk/misc/CEntrilo
username: centrilo
password: behave!
simply get the source, look how it works and create a new, CLEAN tool from it.
would be really cool if you can keep the core platform independent.
i also somewhen tried to make a symbian client, but could not get beyond
connecting and hearing some noise when people talk
cheers

Who is up for this challenge, and what can we do with the above files?
EDITED : Dead links
Vent on CE would rock!
Could just use my phone for games comms and not tie up my PC. Could even see names and stuff on the phone's screen whilst in-game, how neat is that??
Good luck with this project guys!
I fully support this project. I have been pushing in the Ventrilo forums for this for a long time. I will keep watching this thread for this program.
Dagummit!! lol I've been very active on a gaming sites vent server, thought this was a great idea, just to find myself waiting now.. lol Gotta love it!
Anybody actually working on this?
Does anyone know of any progress on this program? I am really interested in hearing how it is coming!
I don't think anyone is doing this.
But if someone would give me a brief tutorial link or something on how to program for wm6 I'd give it a shot. But no guarantee.
What about making an Xfire application for WM?
Im a gamer and it will really nice to have one app like that. I guess it will be similar protocol like Jabber.
Looks like the author of CEntrilo is taking a shot at getting his Ventrilo client working on the newest version of Ventrilo. He is asking questions, so maybe the able minded developers here want to take a shot at this and help him?
http://www.g3gg0.de/wordpress/archives/25
I could be talking to my gaming friends in Vent while I am stuck here at work on my phone, instead of posting this information here.
I am trying to get it to connect to my server. What is the mfcce400.zip file for?
Now that I look at the link I posted, this looks like a lost cause. G3GG0 is not going to make his program work with the 3.0 servers.
There is interest in getting vent to work on Windows Mobile. Why does nobody want to take up this impressive feat? G3GG0's code is right there!!!!!
Hell, create a version that works with Android, make big bucks on the Android market, at the very least.
I support this. Please someone take up this project.
+1. This NEEDS to be done, it'd be fantastic.
It also needs some Speex support. Please someone have a go at this!
Yes please someone
I agree, this really needs to be updated for 3.0.3.
will donate for this one
I also support this project, we all know it would be amazing to have vent go portable!

This has gone quite a long time unanswered, i dont think its going to change
I would like to update.
There is a open source linux ventrilo client that we can port to WM. If someone can link me to some WM programming, I would do it.
Open source linux client:
http://www.mangler.org
The whole protocol is documented so it should not be that hard.
Cheers
Please someone help this guy!
Anyone interested in helping out?
*EDIT*
This application is complete, and has been branded G:RSS. The new thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700948
The release: http://nowsci.com/techviews/20100612/grss-a-google-reader-rss-app-for-windows-phone-7-wp7/
Unfortunatly I´m unable to help, but please continue with your work, it looks very very nice!
Sounds interesting. How far have you got, and whats still to do?
From the looks of the screenshot, it seems you've allready got most stuff working. Just need some design tweaks
I've got the structure laid out and am working through the Google API now. My biggest issue is I'm new to Silverlight/C#, and while it is 99% straightfoward, I'm having a problem figuring out how to get the HTTP Request working properly. I've got a thread started on the Windows Phone 7 forum here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Fo.../thread/8e918a12-135a-45b3-9764-0a24f631f4b3/
And yea, the UI is my first pass, it's what I'm working towards until I get it functioning fully in the emulator, then I'll revise.
Nice, but I think what is really needed is a view like you get on reader.google.com, where you can click through your news items in its full form.

I'll be building in swipe gestures, right for next article, left for previous. I think this is the best way to display an article and navigate. I was debating on placing the headline for the next article below, so you could tap on it, but longer articles would force scrolling. If anyone has any suggestions for how navigation could work otherwise, I haven't built that piece of the puzzle yet, so I'm open.

Nice screens. If you are stuck and need help I am a WP7Dev and have some time to do XAML and other stuff. PM me if you are still looking for help.
I also built a GReader WP7 app, screens are not as well designed as yours! Good job.
I'm actually finishing it up now. It's fully functional with almost all of the features of the desktop reader including on-phone caching. It's also looking much better than my concepts including theme options. I'll post a video when its complete, to see if there are any other things people want.
Great! Can´t wait for the video!
Why a Google RSS reader?
Syncing with Google Reader, so you see the same read / unread items on your mobile and on your Desktop. I like it.

Hope you get some help from here. Gunnar is a friend of mine.
So I actually just completed it on my own. Was a great way to get into WP7 development. I've since named the application, and have a video of it posted. The new thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700948
Hey all,
I'm a very new user to Android, but the last few days I've been trying it out from the XDAndroid build and I love it.. I know what my next Mobile OS is going to be now. Which device is another question.
As I've used it and read some of the threads it occurred to me that it could be valuable feedback to users and developers to get a poll of several aspects of the XDAndroid build. Missing features, importance of existing features, how often you use the OS, etc.
This is my first time using this Survey Monkey tool, so forgive me if the questions aren't perfect. I've fiddled with it over the last few hours and I think it reflects most of what I've thought and from existing posts on the forum from other users.
Click here to take the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GFD2QKG
As I start getting responses I'll post the results periodically. A free account doesn't appear to have the ability to publicly post the results so I'll do it periodically manually.
Thanks for taking the poll, and a huge thanks to all of the people who have worked on it and facilitated making it this easy to use Android on our devices!

I'll post results every few days.. I have yet to figure out a decent way to scrape them. The HTML below looks the best but you can't see the free-form input. PDF you can see it.
Results as of May 05:

Cool.
I just took the survery.
I think I am the first one.
Hopefully, we will get a good poll on what people want the most out the features of the Andriod, which is already amazing as it is right now.
Great idea man, just took the survey ill say it was pretty nice taking it
Thanks for the poll. I've completed it although I did have to be creative with some of the answers because they didn't allow for a "none of the above" answer - I haven't used Android yet but want to as soon as GPS is working on the TP2. (Wishing I hadn't given my mum my TYTN2, otherwise I'd be playing with it already.)

Hmm, what do you think I could modify in that regard? I'm not sure I can edit it now that it's active but I'll take any suggestions.
your answers to the "how often do you use the MJG upgrade util" or whatever it said will be null bc you cant select "never" and there are quite a few of us that update through glemsons autobuilds and have never touched the cab version. I had to select weekly for it to let me finish.
Thanks though!
Sorry about missing "Never" on a few options, first time I've created one of these polls..
Results as of right now I've just posted. I'll post every 3-4 days as it makes sense to do so.
Hello guys. I would like to request a one hundred push ups app.
This is the website: hundredpushups.com/index.html
And there is already an iphone app for it. Maybe someone is able to make the same thing? So a little stopwatch + reminder when you need to push up and the weeks etcetera.
Great thanks!
I could probably make something like this. But it would have to be on my backburners until i finish up FFP_LockScreen (which shouldn't be too much longer). And put in the time that VisualGVoice deserves (*sigh*). If there were incentive to make such an app, I could push it up my To-Do list, but realize that my other apps have incentives as well (both monetary and challenges to my coding abilities).
It wouldn't be too hard to make, in fact. If someone wants to dev it, but needs the concepts on how to code it, I would be more than glad to help that way.

I don't suppose you'd have time to modify imgresize to report back the image dimensions? I love the app, but I would love it even more if I fed it an argument like "-find res" - and it returned the x and y dimensions, so that I can determine whether an image needs resizing or not. Sorry for the ot.

I will consider this after I release the next version of LateReader.
By the time can somebody post the screenshots from the iphone application. The screenshots really help a lot when developing a GUI intensive application.
Here are all the images you need:
itunes.apple.com/nl/app/hundred-pushups/id301174591?mt=8
Edit:
And if someone is developing it, could you please bring out a Qvga version first? I got a palm treo pro

If I happen to start developing this, it will have to be resolution independent then (usually no big deal), because I have a HD2 (WVGA).
Also the link contains only two images of the iphone app as far as I see. If we could have more screenshots (one for each screen), that would help a lot. I know, the concept is already very simple, but still having some screens to start with makes the development process real faster.
Edit : actually the link contains 5 images but still not all the screens covered. OK, whatever, this at least something to start with.
Some more images are over here,
topiphoneresource.info/hundred-pushups-app-review/
A little video about it!

Not yet... LateReader still requires my time I believe.
Anyway, I will definitely look into this if no one starts developing, but I can not promise for when I would start it
I too have this app for my ipod touch and I have the sit-ups one. I been thinking about making this as an app, which should be simple enough. The only thing I need to figure out is the number of push ups required for each days etc.
For example, when you first use it you are suppose to do as many as you can and then enter that number. From there the program works out how many push ups you have to do each day. How do you work that out?

You can use the tables provided in the website. (www.hundredpushups.com, etc.)
nice! I will take a look
Wanted to say the same, check out the tables @ the website. when you start up the app you can just choose your table and from there a little timer appears and you have to do the pushup's your supposed to do
I have started work on this application and will keep you posted with updates. Any idea for a program name? Don't really want to call it "100 pushups"

Can I help you with the beta... PM me.
Push it to the limit!
Could i be a beta tester?
After just discovering the hundred push up site the other day and deciding to do it; it took one quick search to find you guys have just started making this program!
Would love to help with any beta testing if I could be useful!
You can all be beta testers
There are 3 main stages/versions I'm aiming for.
Functionality - This will be the first version which will have a rubbish GUI but its purpose will be to make sure the program works.
GUI - This will be as above but a nice polished GUI to run it :-D
Final Build - After I post the GUI version I will be asking if anyone wants features added or something changed etc. This version will have those changes.
Here's what I currently have and testing in the Functionality version.
* Databased filled with the 6 weeks programs.
* Main menu with 3 buttons. "Today's Program", "Log/Charts" and "Good Form". The last 2 buttons are currently disabled.
* Today's Program displays a test screen after every week and will create a program for the next week based on the results.
* Today's Program displays the week number, Day, number of sets and the number of reps for each set. There is also a working timer for the rest periods.
* After each program has been completed the data is recorded.
At the moment everything seems to be working, I simulated 2 weeks worth and everything recorded and the correct programs loaded etc. So, if I continue as I am I may have a first release ready by the weekend for people to play with.
Hello there fellow developers. I recently made quite a progress in developing skype for WP7.
I want to share my current progress with you, so maybe someone will want to join this little project, which, in future will be released for free, and probably with source code .
I'm not designer, as you will see from the screenshots, but, if you are, and want to join this effort in making skype, contact me asap.
nice work
i'm waiting for release
I'm not really a designer myself, but I'm pretty experienced with WPF/Silverlight programming, and I'm always up for a bit of open source work.
PM me if you want me to help out.

I second that.
I don't have much free time but i'd love to contribute to this project.
I've got some experience in Silverlight/WPF programming, so there should be several points where i can help out.
I've more on the development side as well but I've been doing lots of work with the notification system in wp7 and am happy to help out.
Pm me i could be useful.
this is great it should remain a sideload project though? Skype probably would not like it, or will they?
Anyway very very usefull and nice idea! If I would have some time I would love to help. Or at least test and bugfix and **** I'm not an educated designer, I'm just a perfectionist and hate ugly apps
nice job man!
I made a quick mockup about how the message thing can look.
I thought about just having 2 pivots or panorama pages with a contact list like you have now select a contact and swype t the left to chat with this person swipe to the right click a diffrent contact now it loads the chat of that contact. So that you will always have just 2 pivot pages, otherwise you might get lost if you have multiple people chatting at the same time
I made a mockup of how your conversations can look in metro style. Idk if you like it. I made it quickly the icons etc. are but ugly but just to get an idea. All the images are just copy and pasted from skype and wp7 haha so it was just pretty simple and wont pass the marketplace (not with the skype header at least).
It very similar to what you already made with the contactlist and just a logical next step of your work. I could code the layout for it for you ,but I dont think its that hard to code this design or to get these images.
(Ow and yeah the credits in the sample text is towards you ofcourse, great job, great project man!)
This is great, I know there is a long way to VOIP but this looks promising. Thanks pal!
I'm a Designer
I'm a pretty good deisgner. Well i have a lot of free time and i would love to contribute to your Skype client. If you would like to have somebody wih a lot of experience with design like photoshop, and expression, then please write me a message.
that is amazing... waiting for release
So niiiiiiiiiiice !! GJ, you could submit it to Skype...
as author respond me, private beta will be after 1 week, but public will be released after 2 weeks. :s
Any news on the progress of the app? Skype is one of the very few things I really miss on WP7 and to be honest chat is more than enough for me
if you need a designer,im in to help you, just ask
Again, I want to offer my help to the OP.
Coding C#/XAML is not a problem to me - But I'm not a good UI-Designer
Maybe i can help
Hey, i can make icons and layout for you, and i have some knowledge too, beside am in for beta testing. PM me in anyway you want me to help in coding and designing some icons too.
I have deleted all of the "I want to beta test" posts...the OP did not ask for beta testers, he asked for developers.
I'm sure he will ask for beta testers when he is ready, so no more of these posts please.
Thanks for the support.
I think that Skyper application will be delayed for a while.
Not sure how long, but, we are working on it.
Just recently implemented avatar support, enjoy!.
Hi guys,
I'm a senior .net dev, if you want a help for complete the voip part of the app you can contact me.
Nice work...
