Yea you can, if you can install "rom toolbox " app from play store or you can search for boot animation files

No, you are wrong. He wants the Kernel Logo, not Boot Animation :/
OP: I don't know exactly how, but you can do it yes.
Kernel logo is in the ramdisk used when kernel is compiled. I think it can only be changed before you compile.
EDIT: sorry it's been awhile since I played with kernels. For my old x10 the file was logo.rle in ramdisk. Ignore my comments about compiling. You can unpack the kernel file to get the ramdisk. Xda member Championswimmer has a kernel kitchen to help with this.

It isn't that hard, actually. Just some time breaking your head on Google looking for converters for the image.

Even easier. I might try to do this another day, if the kernel doesn't get big to not fit Dual Boot.
This can help you ..

Good evening
i created my first mod for our beloved Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
This bootanimation is based on this one >>klick<<.
Originally this bootanimation was made for HTC Legend with its data in the text and its screen resolution (480x320). I created new PNG pictures with other logos and system information of i9001 and used them with some other customizations to make this work on resolution of 480x800.
I succesfully tested this on my Device.
Installation:
1. Download this MOD and save it on your SD-card
2. Backup your original sanim.zip from system/media
3. replace the original sanim.zip with the one you downloaded here, for example with root manager.
4. reboot your device
5. Press THANKS-Button if you like this
YOU NEED ROOT AND DEODEX FOR THIS MOD!!!
YOUR ROM AND KERNEL MUST SUPPORT CUSTOM BOOTANIMATIONS VIA SANIM.ZIP
ONLY TRY THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BRICKED DEVICES.
For some reason ive lost bootanimation since ive flashed the cranium v6 kernel over Broodrom RC2(before that i had broodrom bootani) zanim.zip is still in system/media but for some reason it doesnt work, i get a black screen for bootanimation, phone works perfect tho. any idea on why it doesnt work?

yes, that's the point of it. You replace the current kernel with another one that supports bootanimations.
I'm not aware of any other solutions for this.
But oh well, i'm not really a professional at this, so there might be another solution

As crybert already said, it's a bug the cranium v6 kernel has.
So i'd suggest flashing the feamod 1.4 with the feacore phoenix kernel.
Just try it out, if you don't like it, you can always switch back to cranium again.
It's an easy flash with CWM
Can u please come back to topic?

the Team BAMF's Paradigm rom has audio during the boot animation.
Is it possible to do that with any rom?
It's independent of ROM. It's simply a addon of adding in a file to load when the phone is turning on, T-Mobile phones has bootanimations with sounds on it.
a rather simple add-on indeed...

any update on this?
Every from I've ever had just requires that there's a bootsound.mp3 or bootsound.wav file in the same dir as the bootanimation.zip file.
Does the format (for example the compression of mp3) Play a role?
And what about the poweron.snd file? I saw that in a tutorial some time ago.

;I think so, ROMs like Remics that contain samsung framework; might only need a bit of tweaking & xml file
Sorry for this request, I need the stock music and sound player apk and odex files from XWJW8. I have deleted them from my system, and didn't do a backup... I did a lot of modifications to the rom, it took a long time, so I don't want to flash it again. Someone please upload them

I didn't use a cwm flashable rom, I flashed stock and did the modifications myself, and apllied them. However somene sent me the files, so I no longer need them
I want to mod framework-res and I have successfully done it and it works when I push it, but after data wipe, bootloop occurs. What to do? I tried signing the apk (what is non-sense, btw). Please help!
What I exactly do:
Decompile framework-res.apk
Mod it
Recompile
Flash it via flashable zip
Works
Wipe data
Doesn't work
The same with placing new framework already into ROM

I'm trying with unpacking not decompiling framework and swapping drawables. Maybe it won't break the signature
What data and why are you wiping it? Also, when recompiling is it creating the META-INF folder?

Announcements
07/25/16: Added Xperia and Android splash PNGs.
Disclaimer
By using this tool, you will take full responsibility to anything that will happen to your device. It requires general knowledge and first-hand experience in recovery flashing.
Introduction
This tool is based from osm0sis' Android Image Kitchen modified specifically for our device and made into a flashable zip to be able to run in the recovery.
The flashable zip runs a script that extracts the current boot image to be modified and flashed back, which makes it compatible with all custom-based ROMs.
Prerequisites
Custom-based ROM
TWRP recovery
PNG file (480x854)
Instructions
Name your PNG file to 'logo.png' and place it in /sdcard.
Flash the attached zip file.
Notes
The zip needs to be flashed for every ROM update.
If you want to revert back to the original boot splash, you can always restore your boot backup, reflash the ROM, or extract the boot image from the ROM zip and install with TWRP.
I also included some PNGs I made if you're interested. Requests are welcome.
Changelog
v1.2 - 20160725
Switched to 'update-binary' shell script; now file size is reduced by 50%
Temp files are no longer created when no PNG is supplied
v1.1 - 20160723
Fixed progress bar not displaying correctly
Minor visual tweaks
v1.0 - 20160723
Initial release
To-do List
Fix the progress bar not displaying correctly
Use a different 'update-binary' to reduce file size
Switch to 'update-binary' shell script
Sources
mkbootimg + unpackbootimg
mkbootfs

It can be of any size as it unpacks and repacks it instead of just replacing the hex of the boot image.
