I want to mod framework-res and I have successfully done it and it works when I push it, but after data wipe, bootloop occurs. What to do? I tried signing the apk (what is non-sense, btw). Please help!
What I exactly do:
Decompile framework-res.apk
Mod it
Recompile
Flash it via flashable zip
Works
Wipe data
Doesn't work
The same with placing new framework already into ROM

Hi Max,
+1 on Pandemic's Thing, you posted at least 10 "Help JS Threads"
I will still help you:
it will never boot if you choosed pandemic themed ones/xperia t lockscreen since we can't sign as sony did. Thats it... Didn't knew that? just PM me your questions next time, and if dont know, post in general chat, since new threads are not needed. only things we can mod are images, i did for my ROM in Update and its all fine as well as new style & reboot menu

I'm trying with unpacking not decompiling framework and swapping drawables. Maybe it won't break the signature
What data and why are you wiping it? Also, when recompiling is it creating the META-INF folder?

Now my second try to point out an obvious mistake that obviously nobody else noticed: If you overwrite the whole META-INF folder with the one of a theme, you could upload the theme in the first place as this folder contains the updater-script.

why porting from LG Optimus?
porting from C8650 directly will be better.
and there is one bug with the original camera on JOYOS , which makes the images getting from the camera rotate 90 degrees.
you can use the camera on CM7.2 by phiexz instead of the camera on JOYOS.

as for the button backlight problem , I suggest disabling backlight completely.
use Root Explorer,
open the file "/sys/calss/leds/button-backlight" with "Open in Text Editor"
change the original value to num "0" , save the file
and then change the permissions of this file as:

If you ever wanted HINDI/MARATHI(Devnagri) language or bangali in your wfs now here it is..
For devnagri language See part 1 and for Bangali(বাংলা) go to part 2
there is *.ttf files in the zip file attached.. now the .ttf file is the file used for FONTS. (as in windows there is a folder named fonts n there are .ttf files there for the fonts you wanna see on screen) if you dont have this .ttf font n you try to read the language what you will get is something like this [] [] [] [] such boxes.. but as soon as you flash the zip file below from recovery you can see those words..
Part 1
now this is just the flashable zip that will let you READ Hindi/marathi .. now you wanna write in hindi/marathi .. so here you go https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hegdeapp.kannadakeypad download the key board. install it .. go to settings->language and keyboad->and tick on the Kanada keyboard (it say kanada .. bt you can write in hindi or marathi too .. ) go to your launcher drawer n open the keyboard you just installed n then select DEVNAGRI.. n then change the input method to kannada keyboard n there you go .. it all done congrats you have a indian keyboard..
UPDATED:
(THE NEW ZIP FILE IS ATTACHED N ITS FLASHABLE)
Some people reported that it isnt working for them..
but this guy ankitjoshi90 he shared the new font files.. n with those files i made a flashable zip.. n its confirmed that it works on CM7 (he tested ) works on sense roms (including wildchild v2.0 i tested) ..
Part 2
For bangali
go here:

I used this method and worked for me...
Download and save these fonts on your device’s /system/font/ directory. (It will replace the fonts from that directory so be careful)

DroidSansFallback.ttf.
Reboot the device and enjoy the Marathi, Hindi messages and mails on your android device

V1.0
Compiled from latest source of CM10 which you can find the changelog HERE!
Change DPI to 190
Kernel updates:
- bug fix to bln, to prevent kernel panic in some situations (thx to thalamus)
- switched from deep_idle 2 to idle2 (also thx to thalamus)
- updated kernel to linux 3.0.38
- dockaudio sysfs for captivate and fascinate
- data-sysparts gets symlinked at every boot (a user now can just move any file from system to data/sys-parts/xxx, where xxx replaces the path in /system. after reboot the file is symlinked to it's old place)

Well on JB it's not that easy, cause the market wouldn't work below 220 dpi. (well on other roms). So if he fixed that, it would be awesome. But that's just my opinion.

No, you are wrong. He wants the Kernel Logo, not Boot Animation :/
OP: I don't know exactly how, but you can do it yes.
Kernel logo is in the ramdisk used when kernel is compiled. I think it can only be changed before you compile.
EDIT: sorry it's been awhile since I played with kernels. For my old x10 the file was logo.rle in ramdisk. Ignore my comments about compiling. You can unpack the kernel file to get the ramdisk. Xda member Championswimmer has a kernel kitchen to help with this.

It isn't that hard, actually. Just some time breaking your head on Google looking for converters for the image.

Even easier. I might try to do this another day, if the kernel doesn't get big to not fit Dual Boot.
This can help you ..
