Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app

Henry's one. I used his old one (the one build before current). It had no issues and worked great.

You Mean Cm 7.2 based

I think MIUI v4 is the best, and the battery life is not so bad (MIUI roms' battery life is always a bit worse than other roms').
I tried the SnapSeries one too, and the battery life was very bad there, it just drained my battery (my phone almost discharged during the night from 100% battery, and I had no wifi or anything turned ot). But probably it's been fixed already, and then it's worth a try.
And although it's just a beta, you should also try the JB based MIUI 2.10...

I'm using too MIUI v4 and battery life is good. Only for gaming eat faster battery ;/ . I think it's good .

I really didn't have battery issues with any miui build. I prefer snap series but only because in Henry's the status bar says "roaming indicator on"

Battery diffrence

Hello hello,
I've been wondering something for some days : with Cyano, my battery can stand for about 24h, but, when I've tried MIUI, it was standing for 48h easy.
How is it possible, what's the trick on MIUI and can I apply it on Cyano ?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Some earlier.versions of cyano have high battery drain. But it could be due to the kernel and what mhz its clocked at.
possible some apps syncing on cyanogen that caused higher drain.
Personally miui much nicer than cyanogen anyway ;P
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
I usually get about 24 hours on cyanogen. Very interesting what you're saying about getting 40+ hours on miui.

Ahaha, yeah, MIUI is a really great ROM, but I'm the kind of guy who likes stock stuff ^^
I'm looking for some fix, but nothing fancy :/

I get 48 hours easily with CM, which version are you using?
The nightly, build 150 for the moment, I update about 1 time every 10 build
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Well, that's the thing... I'm using Alienmind's 1.5 CM, it's quite more optimized over any nightly... Try flashing a different radio, kernel, or just forget about nightlies(they often have battery drain problems) and go with a release candidate, or a specific CM flavor(alienmind, hydrogenmod, etc).
Or simply stick with MIUI itself!!!

Battery Problem

Battery drains really fast, done a battery calibration but nothing, phone is only a year old ish and when its on charge it sometimes says full when its lower than 100% see picture below.
I had the same problem with charging.I charged it few times when it was turned off and now it is back to normal to 100% fully charged. About the drain issue try different kernel if you are using a custom rom!

Just switched to MildWild CM-2.8 and its charging fine, recommend a different kernel even with this rom ?
I had a mildwild rom for about a month and battery life was great but if it still drains you can try ManU kernel! I didn't try it but people say it's great!

No, not on oxygen derivatives. Uses different camera drivers so that doesn't work, but think other things won't either. Have to stick with the _thalamus kernels, which I believe are pretty good too. Same .35 base?

It could be that theres a bunch of apps running in the background?
Without a process manager I find my battery doesn't last as long.

You are right! My mistake
i use task killer and let apps close when screen is off, dont use any apps though really just facebook really. Using nighty 258 now battery seems better but have to data Wi-Fi is a killer :/ last about 5 hours with wi-fi on, having mobile data on is just as bad.
One shouldn't use a task killer app with Android. It does more bad than good, in terms of battery life.

Yeah, but it always depends on how much you use your phone. If you switch off mobile data, wifi, and solely use your phone for calling/texting once or twice a day, you'll get 2-3 days of usage out of it regardless of which ROM you're using.

He asked for SENSE Roms.
I am using RSK Special Edition, it has an excellent battery life (Governor Smartass V2 @ 1152 MHz).
Charged this morning to 100% and now it has 85 %. :good:
WiFi, GPS and BT are turned off.
If you are looking for Sense for the look
I'd suggest MIUI Marange, and search xda for MIUI Sense 4.0 Theme,
It is awesome how I just forget I have an MiUi Rom, mainly because I
Can put a beautiful app drawer and have sense widgets xD
Can Provide screenshot if you want.
RunnyMede aio s/e with kernel Ahmet-exp5_cfs_svs+
Smartassv2 - 245 - 998
there is probably better with other sense, but if u want sense 3.5 this was the best setup for me

Battery life on Slim Bean 3.1.0

I'm still too laconic on XDA forums to post this in response to gmillz' SlimBean 3.1.0 ROM posting in Android Development, so here it is.
I'm getting the attached battery life after one day, one full power cycle on my new 1850mAh battery and fresh installation of the above referenced ROM. I'm running noop I/O and ondemand governor with the stock kernel built into SlimBean. I'm also running the screen on minimum brightness (not automatic). What else provides some useful background?

Here's my battery today on slim bean...I love this ROM
Since my phone "lost" my IMEi (actually, it was just not able to read it anymore), I flashed back to Stock Samsung 4.0.4. Before, I used SB 3.0.
And I can also report that battery life is much better now. Perfect example is a night in flight mode, which results in about 1% loss vs 6% loss @ SB.
As there are several guys I talked to which have perfect battery life with this ROM and I also had till 2.8 or so, there must be some misconfiguration. Or a battery draining app.
Where did you get the download for 3.1.0? I've checked there site and they only have 3.0 for the T989.

I've been running this ROM for the good half part of this day, and I must say, the battery is not as good as I hoped. Maybe I'll have to let it settle in, but CM so far beats this in terms of battery life.
I agree with the comment about stock being better than SB 3.0 and onlychevy's 3.1. It is a downer to realize most custom roms don't actually optimize for better battery life. I test the battery life by playing 5 minutes of youtube on 3g only to see how much is drained. On SB, 1% is drained for every 2 minutes of playback, and 3 minutes on stock.

What rom had the best battery life

I have now a samsung rom on my phone but i want a cm10.1 or aosp rom on my phone is cm10.1 a better battery than samsung roms??

That's how it should be but in reality it's not. Sammy roms have much better battery life but then again that could just be because there are better power and memory management features on stock. It's the only reason I've been reverting back to stock since almost every other cm10.1 based roms have ridiculously weak battery life.

that's kinda weird because on mine the battery on stock sucks but on cm10.1 it lasts a lot more so i was thinking the same for note2
Not really. Battery life is awesome at is on stock. You could flash some kernel like Perseus and do some undervolting or even underclocking to
squeeze more battery out of it though.
Battery life, I've found it to be more or less the same, if not marginally better on stock.
@bushako - How's battery life on MIUI mate? Heard it drains battery more than other stock based ROMs?

I actually ended up going back to stock based Rom. The battery life wasn't as bad as I had thought, it got me about 6hours screen time. Don't get me wrong MIUI really looks gorgeous but at the expense of performance, especially at this stage since there's quite a few bugs that needs ironing out and also because MIUI and xposed framework use the same setup they are incompatible and I'm use to lower DPI. I might get back with signs of improvements.
Also, I found that Perseus kernel is not compatible with aosp and that so far the one that does work is neak and redpill.

Lower dpi means better battery life or drain the battery?
Android revolution
Android revolution rom is stock rom but all the things which causes lag are removed and u still get amazing battery too...
