no i dont have that one

i can look if i cant find the 2 update apps in my appmonster pro app
it automaticly backups every new app
so i think you dont need that one
i see also i have now two different sdcard dirs on my phone if i look with root explorer (and that is not cool
so i look if its gone if i restore to default format sdcard and put the files back again

They will find the info you posted in the above thread handy, also yes pleas post OTA etc but was just saying the mods will probably close this thread as they have done to similar ones in the past thats all man.

I might actually ask Rohin in the other thread if he can set up a post with links to OTAs and relevant files!

Hello all,
Apologies if this has been posted already but honestly I have searched like a madman to avoid duplicating posts. Also please bear with me as i am a recent iPhone user convert to android (after 6 years of iPhone!) so I may not be too savvy. Any way tot eh point!!!
I live in Pakistan and have bought a Vodafone France branded HOX (CID vodap203) and I am not sure if the OTA is available yet. According to the SFR website it is but I have to sign in and I am not a customer of theirs so I cant. I had also rooted it but then re-locked the bootloader as what I gleaned from the forums it stated that I cant receive an OTA if its rooted. So my questions are basically:
1) Do I need to restore my phone to original factory setting to receive the OTA?
2) Will I need an SFR sim card to receive the OTA? (I had already received the 4.0.4 update OTA after I had bought it)
3) Is my only option to flash a stock carrier branded version JB when its available on to my HOX?
Again I apologize if this is repetition but I have tried to find my answer already. Your guys' help would be greatly appreciated (put me out of my misery)
Thank you!!!

Really? Have you looked in the Android Development Section? Tons of ROMS there...
Currently available stable JB ROM is Maximus , you need specific CID numbers to flash the firmware.zip to update the hboot version so that you can flash the ROM . I'm waiting for mike to release 10.x.x , will loyally wait for him
Why are there two sections about development One X ,whats the difference between original ?
I really have JB&Ssense 4+.
I dont have specific CID....
I think I have to wait for some day:crying:
Thanks

From what I know ,
Original Development have been built from scratch.
Whereas in Android Development they've started the build of a base of something else.

Just hit the thanks button . It's there to serve a purpose . :good:
There are currently three roms I know of out at the moment:
maXimus V4.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601543
InsertCoin 10.2.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588669
Android Revolution HD 0.0.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603
However as mentioned by others you need to have a specific cid as listed here:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__J15
To check your cid you can use an app which I have found to work called CID Getter - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter&hl=en
If you are able and do install one of these there is no way back to ICS.
Hope I have been of some help.

Yes there is. You can restore your ics nandroid back on your phone and run the old system. The problem is that when you brick your device with updating the hboot there is no way back because there is no RUU ! you can install ics fine on the new hboot

well you know, whenever Football is asked if the ROM could be installed on any cid, he doesn't answer NO, he says u can install it on any cid, but you need a proper hboot. and the qoute is from mike's thread who is not related to maximus roms. maybe Football IS "the developer, who found the way to get it working". i personally found it confusing if Football's firmware.zip could or could not be installed on any cid, and he doesn't say anything about cid restrictions on maximus rom firstpage

@descb600f We need a unified thread where members can post which devices are getting what updates in one thread. The idea is to prevent multiple threads being created when we can just use one thread for update discussion. Would you be willing to use your thread as the update discussions thread? Basically all that would be required is just keep the OP updated with a list of CIDs and what update has been received.

Thread Cleaned
Please guys, only post to confirm the update. There is no need to post you have not received it. All this does is clutters the thread and make it harder to manage.
Just had to clean this thread again, within an hour of the last cleaning. Ridiculous. I have absolutely no problem closing this thread down next time I see some posting behavior like what I just removed.
So I will make this very simple. If you as a community want this thread to remain open, you have one more chance. Here are some basic guidelines to follow while debating if you should post in this thread or not.
Do not post if you have not received the update. Doesn't matter if your device has been confirmed but YOU have not received it. The device is listed because someone has at one point confirmed the update.
If your device is NOT listed and you have not received an update, DO NOT post saying you have not received an update.
Do not ask questions in this thread. Ask your questions in the Q&A section.
If your device is listed already, and you have just recieved the update, DO NOT post about it in here. Obviously we know it is confirmed or it would not be on the list.
Only post if your device is NOT listed and you can confirm an update.
If posting to confirm an update, please try to provide a screenshot if possible.
Only post if you can provide any additional valuable info about the updates.
This is the rules of this thread, they will be followed or this thread will be closed.

If you can get firewater working on this one then awesome But firewater is very picky on which m8s it will work for. the $25 is the devs @jcase and beaups ask for the work they put into thier app which is rock solid and has a near perfect success rate Think the cost is justified considering they bricked many test devices and put alot of thier time and money into thier project. if firewater doesnt work (i.e u get the dreaded whelp message) Sunshine is your way to go
Be careful cause depending of your MID you may not be able to flash the firmware..........i'm in the exact position of you. I have the ROM working fine it's just that it take time to boot when i reboot. I paid for S-OFF for nothing as i can't update firmware. Updating firmware also update Radio so updating with a wrong firmware could lead to install bad radio parameters which may result in no 3G ou 4G anymore so i don't advise updating firmware................

also HERE is the redio collection thread.

2, flash desired firmware

depends what variant you want to be on, if you are international unbranded and want to flash international firmware, keep the mid
if you want to convert to dev edition and flash dev firmware/rom, change the mid
and so on
Followed the guide it worked well ! thank you very much

its easy to change MID mate, check the link in my sig (dev edition conversion)
also HERE is the redio collection thread.
1, change MID to the one that is relevant
2, flash desired firmware
3, if the radio is crappy, flash the correct one :good:

Regarding the problems i'm facing i seriously don't advise to flash firmware............he can use ARHD withouth a single problem except the longer boot.....
Have a look here to see what's happening to me :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54692380
I had LTE not working with radio included in the latest firmware. I had to flash the radio to comeback to stock working one. But it seems it's too old for the firmware..........Don't touch the firmware guys
---------- Post added at 12:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ----------
Because of multiple versions of Firmware, Baseband, Hboot etc.........we should advise people not to upgrade the firmware.........Otherwise they could have mismatch between versions etc........as i'm facing now

OK, May be an issue with certain files in the firmware u flashed that are not going to work great with your specific variant of device. I would seriously recommend doung what ckpv5 said in the post above, revert back to how u gou it out of the box (original firmware, cid and rom) and wait for him to explain further once he has had a look at the zip file. I cannot help you further i'm afraid

j_15 is not a valid CID. They are always 8 characters.
Do you mean HTC__J15?
Also, this is a support question, so it should be moved to the appropriate forum section. I'll report the the mods to do so.

cidnum HTC__J15 is the cid for middle east markets. It has no independent firmware, rather, it uses the international M8 Firmware, like all unlocked European versions (ModelID: 0P6B10000). Simply put, x.x.401.x RUU is the official RUU for J15.
The official European firmware includes a file (Android-info. txt) that specifies the devices its compatible with - by matching the MID and CID. For example, here is a paste from the European RUU:
modelid: 0P6B10000
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__J15
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__K18
cidnum: HTC__A48
cidnum: HTC__002
The latest official available version is currently Android 6.0 with Sense 7:
M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_HTC_Europe_6.12.401.4_Radio_1.29.214500021.12G_20.72.4196t.01_release_464360_signed.zip
