well you know, whenever Football is asked if the ROM could be installed on any cid, he doesn't answer NO, he says u can install it on any cid, but you need a proper hboot. and the qoute is from mike's thread who is not related to maximus roms. maybe Football IS "the developer, who found the way to get it working". i personally found it confusing if Football's firmware.zip could or could not be installed on any cid, and he doesn't say anything about cid restrictions on maximus rom firstpage

Really? Have you looked in the Android Development Section? Tons of ROMS there...
Currently available stable JB ROM is Maximus , you need specific CID numbers to flash the firmware.zip to update the hboot version so that you can flash the ROM . I'm waiting for mike to release 10.x.x , will loyally wait for him
Why are there two sections about development One X ,whats the difference between original ?
I really have JB&Ssense 4+.
I dont have specific CID....
I think I have to wait for some day:crying:
Thanks

From what I know ,
Original Development have been built from scratch.
Whereas in Android Development they've started the build of a base of something else.

Just hit the thanks button . It's there to serve a purpose . :good:
There are currently three roms I know of out at the moment:
maXimus V4.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601543
InsertCoin 10.2.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588669
Android Revolution HD 0.0.0 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603
However as mentioned by others you need to have a specific cid as listed here:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__J15
To check your cid you can use an app which I have found to work called CID Getter - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tritonsoft.cidgetter&hl=en
If you are able and do install one of these there is no way back to ICS.
Hope I have been of some help.

Yes there is. You can restore your ics nandroid back on your phone and run the old system. The problem is that when you brick your device with updating the hboot there is no way back because there is no RUU ! you can install ics fine on the new hboot

There is also OrDroid stable..

Hi everyone,
I have few questions about the cid required to instal JB rom on my HTC ONE X. I have red that it's important to attemp to flash the new JB rom only if your cid makes part of a restricted list of cid. I have found that my cid is 11111111 but the supported cid are:
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__J15
I didn't manage to find nothing on internet or Xda that makes me understand if it could be possible also for me to follow some guide to flash JB on my Phone, also with this strange cid. So my questions are:
1) What does it means that my cid doesn't start with "HTC_...."?
2) Is it possible for me to flash JB roms even if my cid doesn't make part of that list? If yes, how?
Thanks in advance for the repsonses.
Bye
cid 11111111 implies you have super cid...
Google it...

Why do you want to change your cid.Supercid is like universal cid.if you change it you will loose it.But I think the command should be fastboot oem writecid HTC__203 (i am not completely sure though)
hello and thank for your anser but i know the command to change my cid but my problèm is that my device dont write the HTC__203 correctli.
HTC__203 is made by two underscore on the button "8".

In Europe, it's any one of these. It won't matter which you use:
HTC__001, HTC__E11
HTC__102, HTC__203
HTC__405, HTC__Y13
HTC__304, HTC__032
HTC__A07, HTC__J15
HTC__016
I Also Forgot
I also forgot mine.... I'm from Australia (not sure if that counts as Europe) and I'm unlocked without a carrier. I'm using a HTC One m7.

j_15 is not a valid CID. They are always 8 characters.
Do you mean HTC__J15?
Also, this is a support question, so it should be moved to the appropriate forum section. I'll report the the mods to do so.

cidnum HTC__J15 is the cid for middle east markets. It has no independent firmware, rather, it uses the international M8 Firmware, like all unlocked European versions (ModelID: 0P6B10000). Simply put, x.x.401.x RUU is the official RUU for J15.
The official European firmware includes a file (Android-info. txt) that specifies the devices its compatible with - by matching the MID and CID. For example, here is a paste from the European RUU:
modelid: 0P6B10000
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__203
cidnum: HTC__E11
cidnum: HTC__405
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__304
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__J15
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__K18
cidnum: HTC__A48
cidnum: HTC__002
The latest official available version is currently Android 6.0 with Sense 7:
M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_HTC_Europe_6.12.401.4_Radio_1.29.214500021.12G_20.72.4196t.01_release_464360_signed.zip
