its increases bcoz of background running apps and services... advance task killer or something like that can solve your problem... or search for android assistant... that has quite more features... but task killer is enough for you.... :good:

i tried but it kill the process or apps on that free ram part.....cached process ...the part i am telling has no chenge in size....

yup im also having 246 mb constantly used space on RAM... bt my phone is faster as usual... that doesnt cause my phone to slow down... are you getting lesser used space on RAM right after every reboot ??? i think it wont change....

thanx for help....i found solution. Go to playstore and download taskmanager which shows youbrealtim process....and after installing end all real time process. It will free up that partition. This part is for real time process which we can not see normally....

[Q] ICS Task Manager/Clear Memory exception list?

Hey guys, is it possible to create an exception list for the ICS Task Manager. My problem is that whenever I "clear memory" it will close my Widget Locker and I have to go in and restart it. As much as I clear memory in a day thats alot of restarting. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I don't need recommendations for other task managers, I would like to keep it native.
You shouldn't be frequently clearing memory as is. Android isn't like a Windows Mobile phone. You're supposed to use the task manager in the event of a misbehaving app and thats pretty much it.
So it isn't necessarily a bad thing if the memory bar is full?

I never clear memory. Just use task manager to close open apps. My battery life is great and phone runs like a charm. Just my 2cents

No its not. Those apps are just being stored in cache. They aren't actively using battery (unless its a poorly programmed app). Android should automatically remove the ones that are idle on its own, though. Just let Android do its thing.
If you're really worried about runaway apps, use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLnpvbXV0LndhdGNoZG9nbGl0ZSJd
Its a different kind of task manager. All it does is monitor what apps are using the most CPU. ONLY kill the stuff it alerts you that are using crazy high CPU processing.

Desire boiling hot!

In your signature is written that you use LeeDroid Sense rom. If it's like that you shouldn't use Manu's kernel cause it's made for AOSP roms, maybe that's the problem.

you could also try an app called watchdoglite
it alerts you when a certain app uses processing power above a certain threshold.

Ram problem

Hey guys i have some problem with my ram. Its looks like my ram always around 275mb used and i already stop any apps that run in the background but my used ram never goes any lower than 200. Is it normal? Or do i need to do something about it? Could anyone give me solutions?

If it makes you feeel any better, mine is always between 300 and 315, even from boot it is at least 250 and soon ramps up as all my apps are loaded
Oh thanks for the info man. I guess its just normal then . But are you feeling a little lag in that condition of ram?
Sent from my BioWonder using xda premium
What ROM are you using? Maybe you can try another ROM, or maybe you can try to disable some apps's background processes, it may help a little bit
i usually use go powermaster to know what app are runnig in background, i sometimes i uninstall, usually maps, facebook, email, that kind of stuffs are always runing and wasting ram
you can try to install v6supercharge and use the script to clear ram, time by time...
I'm using indroid remics when I feel the lag, now I'm using biohazard it's smoother though
I already installed v6 supercharger on the indroid but no result still laggy

lags are just normal, since its android. its a bit complicated but here http://www.appleinsider.com/article...ag_occurs_more_often_in_android_than_ios.html
with v6 supercharger you have less ram I guess, because it holds launcher always in ram, so restarts are disabled, and it makes multitasking better. I dont know what exactly is meant by "better multitasking" but I guess it keeps apps longer in ram, so they dont need to re load. but i'm not sure about it.
maybe you can try a lighter launcher like launcherpro (it needs 9-15mb ram).

Yes sometimes, it really annoys the pants off me when i'm in a hurry but I came to SGW from a Nokia N95 8Gb which was stuffed to the point of bursting (not literally) with software - so the lag on my droid is still far less than I had got used to.
From a fresh flash of a new ROM it amazes me how 225 - 250mb is all thats needed, but all the apps I install are pretty much essential to me in one way or another (otherwise i'd have a dumb phone instead ) so I just put up with it, and save toward a new droid with RAM measured in Gig not Meg :fingers-crossed:
My phone usually use up to 210mb of ram and that's all, sometimes 180mb

The best one click app killer is none at all in my opinion!
Whilst I accept that you may want to occasionally kill a single errant app, as far as I'm concerned there are absolutely no occasions where killing all apps is a good thing.
Free RAM is wasted RAM.

Dave

App killers became irrelevant a LONG time ago, I think around Froyo. If Android wants it there, it'll restart it, no matter how many times you kill it. Leave it alone, it knows what it's doing.
Thanks a lot..just thot that keeping some extra ram free wud help in some way.. happy to be enlightened!

No apps no cached processes no ram. Can't even start keyboard

So the title says it all. After ~1h of use my one x runs out of ram while not using it for cache or apps. I realize that unused ram is wasted ram but what is happening to me is definitely not normal. After a while after reboot all apps immediately closes after use, app drawer including. I can barely start keyboard. And settings shows that there is no cached processes which is unusual. I'm using icj 3.8. Any advice would be appreciated

Tried a different ROM or kernel? Perhaps Sense as opposed to AOSP?

No, but before this the rom worked well. I want to keep changing the rom or cleanly reinstalling it as the last resort option, because it is the most time consuming.

Then it's likely down to a specific app with a memory leak.
Start working backwards and uninstall apps one at a time until it goes away again.
Wouldn't that show in settings running apps and services? I tried stopping all and using task killer but that didn't help

Not necessarily.
You can shut down the app itself and remove it from the list, but it's possible the leakage is remaining memory resident.
Thanks didn't think it was possible
