I want to get this Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Currently using the Simple Mobile $40 monthly plan with my HTC phone.
http://www.mysimplemobile.com/plans-40-unlimited.aspx
A few people in these forums have said that the Note II will work on Simple Mobile.
But there are a few choices here ...

Have you been able to get the Note II to work on Simple Mobile?
Which Note II model was it?
It works with both but the international variant will only get you 2g (edge) network speeds while the T-Mobile vr will work with 4G on simple mobile.
sent from the monster Galaxy Note 2
Ok, so I want 4G. But not being a T-Mobile customer. The only No Contract Note II phone I can find:
http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-phone/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-II-No-Annual-Contract
for $650.
Do you know if I can get a lower price for the T-mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II ?

BestBuy/Ebay is having a promo of 25% off the phone on a 2 yrs contract @ $247
Get it as soon as you get the phone, call T-Mobile and change your plan from classic to value plan. You will need to pay another $200 for the change and you are contract free. In the end you get the phone for $447
That is what I am doing and i should get my phone today.
Fyi: the promo ends on 11/08/2012 with 30 days return. The promotion code is EBSAVE25

Sorry but you are mistaken about being contract free by moving to a value plan. You will still be under contract for 2 years albeit with a lower monthly bill.

Note 2 $299 or SG3 $49?

I just bought the note 2 a couple of days ago, but I just saw that the SG3 is now $49 at best buy and Amazon wireless. Just was going to get everyone's opinion on if the stylus and size is worth the $250. I'm a upgrade eligible customer for att. And also is the 2gig of ram a big difference over the sg3s 1.

To me no comparison at all, note 2 all the way.
Now In reality, depends on if size is important factor for you. No, then Note 2. Yes, then try your note for a few days then go to store and try out display unit gs3 and make your decision then.
Functionality of spen is a must for me and worth it for me. Sorely miss it and the apps for it if I was on another device.

Not sure how it would work with gs3 but try opening up several video windows at the same time a nd toggle between them. No slow down and all run smoothly. More ram never hurts.

I've gone back and fourth between the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, and GSIII and I must say the Note 2 wins hands down. While I do enjoy the Galaxy S III's form factor, I do not like care for the Qualcomm Processor. I also wanted a Black S3 which is not available on AT&T. The Note 2 wins for me because of the awesome processor and 2Gb of ram, plus the screen is better.
I am a huge accessorizer when it comes to my phones and a downside of the Note 2 is that there are not that many cases yet. I'd still go for the Note 2. Its very future proof. Not too mention, who can turn down Exynos + LTE???
I think the $49 is only today, at least at Best Buy. And the Amazon price might be new customer only, not upgrades.
I got AT&T to price match Walmart on my Note 2 for $199. Many others did too by calling customer service.
I like the size, battery, and S-Pen too much. $200 isn't much when you consider the phone should last 18-24 months. I think the up front premium will be worth it over the life of the phone.

Well if you are switching carriers like me, Amazon has Sprint Note II for $99 and S3 Free!
I have been with AT&T for 10 years and I'm over the drama over data. Especially since I have 5GB and am disabled and home with full wi-fi throughout my house and they are trying to charge me overages?? Not to mention the crappy service and consistent lies!! Only time I really even use my phone is for hospital trips... Paying more than the Simply Everything with simply nothing!! Too bad I have 11 other lines I'm going to switch from my business, home, and family, and TV....
Switch on over!
The white Note 2 is 174 at Amazon btw
Note 2. Period.

Get the note 2 and you wont look back..:good::good::good:
The US galaxy s3 has a slower dual core processor than the quad core exynos processor in the Note 2. My girlfriend has a galaxy s3 and my note performs noticeably better than it. Battery life is significantly better as well. Also, the Note 2 has a better, non-pentile display.
Fair price

The amazon wireless price for the note 2 is $174.99 for the AT&T version. In my opinion, you are definitely getting $125 more phone for your money so I think it's a fair price.
Note 2 is superior in every aspect. The only issue is if you want to deal with the extra size.
Note 2 FTW also youll never run out of juice hahaha . 3100 mah will last you 2 days without charge thats coming from stock 4.1 moderate use .

I appreciate everyone's input. Yes it was a one day sale at best buy and Amazon wireless. I guess I was thinking about downgrading and using that money to get a 64gb card and a case. Oh well. I love the note 2. Highly recommend it to anyone.

I started a new att line and had a s3 while being on a buddys family plan. I checked out my credit and I was approved for 4 lines haha. So I put it on craigslist and I was getting my new line activated and a note 2 was the choice just based on screen size. Guy met me in walmart (note 2 for $279.99) and he bought it and used that cash towards the note ($300 cash). I got it just for the screen size but there is a huge noticable difference in speed and battery life on this thing. Note 2 buddy trust me and the titanium one is beautiful.

I have both phones and galaxy s3 also has 2gb ram so it's a wash there but the screen is pentile and not so as good as note 2. Battery life also sucks really bad on galaxy s3 and cpu is ok but not as fast as note2. However form factor of sgs3 is better then note 2 as phone is smaller and easier to use and manage.
Note 2:
Better screen
Faster cpu
Bigger screen
Bigger battery
Limited rom support so far or none existent
Big phone needs two hands to manage properly
Phone never gets hot at least not so far
Feels like better build quality
Spen
Sgs3:
Screen is smaller and pentile
Poor battery
Slower cpu
Phone size is perfect for carrying and using single handed
Lots and lots of rom support
Phone gets hot at bottom when playing games on watching videos annoys the crap out of me.
Crappier feel and build quality
No spen
I prefer the note 2 and hope this helps.

You should ask this in S3 forum too. So you can hear both sides. They will tell you how bad the Note 2 just same as we tell you how the S3. Hehehe

Getting a different phone without paying more?

I'm still sort of unfamiliar with the Value plans even though my family switched to one this past December so bear with me while I try to explain.
When we switched in Dec. I bought a Note 2 for $99 down and then obviously the 24 month payment plan. Is there any way that I can get a new phone from T-Mobile by selling my Note 2 and getting the HTC One without any extra charge/change to payments? The market price for the Note 2 is about $550-$600 where I live, so add that plus the down payment and the past 4 months I have had it and it equates to about $729 to pay off the device. It costs $679.00 on T-Mobile so if my math is correct could I get an HTC One free of charge?

Seems to me you owe about $340 to pay it off ($20 per month x 20 months = $400 - the 3 months you already paid which is $60 = $340 balance). If you sell it for $540 you can then apply the $200 difference to the down payment for the One and have the same $20 monthly equipment payment you have now.

Tmobile S4 trade value for Note3?

I am considering trading my Tmobile S4 for Tmobile Note 3. I saw online tmobile value calculator showed $360 for S4. Has anyone moved to Note 3 and how much did you get for S4?

[Q] Trade s3 to get the Note 2 before upgarde?

So i currently have the s3, and i have been a huge fan of the note 2 and since the note 3 is available the note 2 is now cheaper. So my plan was to trade it in and see if they would allow me to trade. Is this possible without paying the full retail for the phone? And my upgrade isnt up until 2015 august 13 also im under sprint.
You will have to pay retail minus what ever you get for the trade, which likely isn't much..I'd try Craigslist. I recently traded my S3 plus $40 cash for a 3 month old Note 2.
