My new Note 2 has a 32gb memory card with 19 gb free and the internal has 9 gb free.
Can load apps bit not launcher?? It tells me to free up some space and then sends me to "all".
Any thoughts.

I have one 20 apps installed and the phone memory is showing only 18mb
of the 2gb I believe thats internal memory of the phone
is there a way to correct that
are you sure you werent looking at the ram stats? because the 2gb you were referring to is the internal storage (1.2gb is available for apps). though 18mb is quite low for ram too, you should use a task manager (like es task manager)!

I used titanium backup and its welcome screen shows
System rom 342 mb
internal 133 mb
sd card 8.01 gb

One 20 = 120?
for storage (internal) settings> storage. There you can check how much phone storage is left of the 2 gb. For ram if you have a task killer it will show you how much is left.

O.K. I didn't go for the mid level or high level storage unit, I went with the 16GB as with my Acer A500 on ICS had 16GB with 9-10GB free.
I power on my new Note and my apps start to load up from Google Play, and i start getting a message that only 2.9 - 2.8- 2.6 GB of internal storage left.
I checked the 16GB of space and what do i find,
System memory: 4.21 (OS right?)
Used Space: 8.33GB
Cached: 409MB
Misc: 800MB
and only 2.28GB avaliable!!!!
Is this because of JB? I just never though Android would ever catch up to space requirements of windows OS'.
If anyone can give me a few suggestion on how to lower this usage I would appreciate it, as i do have about 7-8GB of music i would normally carry directly on my device.
Sd card

Yes get an SD card and move the music to it. Also make sure all photos are going to the external card.
Use lecture notes instead of snote and make sure it is using the external card.

Search for foldermount. You can mount ext sdcard directories as internal. Problem solved. You must be rooted...

I have already ordered a 64G card, was planning to use it just for music. However the question still remains, is this JB thats so large or is it Samsung?
I look at my S3 running 4.1.2 (Stock OTA) its a 16GB device also, and it stands like this:
Total: 11.95GB
App: 2.01GB
Pic, Vid: 1.28GB
Audio: 83.84MB
Downloads: 2.75MB
Misc: 138MB
Avaliable Space: 7.96GB
So it leads me to believe its alot of bloat from Sammy for the Note devices.

It's both. JB is relatively huge, and Samsung adds about 1GB of their own apps including s-pen support, etc..
Even my 16GB only had like 12 GB free right out of the box.
Your expectations are a bit strange, even your S3 example above, shows that just the OS alone takes about 4.1 GB.

There is an updated way to perform the function in a thread on our devices. So far there is no SDXC memory card faster than internal ram.
If anything, 16gb is enough for android apps unless you have a huge library. But then again, my 200+ apps are hitting around 900mb of my 2gb of system ram and fill 1/2 of my internal storage. If I could fill up my internal storage with apps, then I would have about 300mb of system memory available from apps being in hibernation or running in background. To me making an external memory card be your primary storage, would be more of a hindrance than the eye candy of having big numbers show in your device.
The only reason for such large storage in other devices is that there is no external SD card options, so there must be extra internal storage for the device to be marketable for peeps who want to store media and data.
Hi all.
Was just wondering about using GLtoSD
And using ROEHSOFT RAM Expander (SWAP)
I'm wondering if I got a 64GB SDHC card class 10 and partitioned it to 32GB x2 the 32GB will be recognised and used by the system, then using the GLtoSD to put tons of games on the other partitioned not loaded in the system? If that's possible? And then use the ROEHSOFT RAM Expander to increase to RAM/Swap space to 4GB or something?
I hope someone understands what I mean? And if anyone has tested it or can test it for me?
Otherwise I'll just get a 32GB sd card,
I don't think a 64GB one works in the Samsung Galaxy Fame anyway, 6810p

i recommend u to use "Folder Mount" , it can mount unlimited datas/obbs and even any folder u want, some or most of the Gameloft games uses sdcard/gameloft/games/ folder for game data than using sdcard Android/obb or data,
i'm using foldermount for now and its so good u can't complain about it, its just perfect
and about roesoft ram expander, i tried it but don't work i guess, maybe i did something wrong, i tried to play "Max Steel" which require higher ram than fame has, and i created 1 gb of saw with roesoft ram expander, but no luck, game steel don't play

Any idea about using bigger SD cards? I have an 8GB atm it's only class 4 (tweaked) but thinking of upgrading to the most it can handle, preferably 64GB?
I just installed FIFA 14 and NFS both on GLtoSD and they both work fine, with the occasional lagg ha!

i think you can use 16 gb or 32 gb with class med( idk now really about all class about sd card, but i think ,medium end is enough)
Hi everyone, im new here and im not very good at english, but i need help. My HOX have ~8 GB free space. but for apps its just < 1 GB left. I wanted to install Hearthstone. When its installed, i have ~ 5 MB free space for apps. I tried to move it to phone storage or somethink like this, but i didnt help me. Its still taking space destined for apps. Is there any option to improve space for apps?
