[Q] - HTC One X

I have read than some guys have super CID and s-off device. Is it possible ? I thought that it's impossible because we haven't got source code from HTC. Can someone explain it for me ?

There's some people in China with special equipment to give us S-OFF and some people already had S-OFF when they got their phones.

Luck!
There are some 3000 lucky guys in the world who were shipped with a s off One x.
There is no other way!Atleast for now!

You got 3 options wait for official unlocked bootloader, buy xtc-clip, or find an unlock shop, because no one here is gonna help you. Me personally i'm taking my phone to unlock shop soon, if and when I do get unlocked I will do my best to help everyone.
This phone has a lot of potential and theres alot of developers out there that would love to have this phone, unfortunately locked bootloader is a major factor in there decisions. The sooner we get unlocked the better.
I don't have this phone myself but my girlfriend got it yesterday so it's kinda like a new toy for me too. I might have to convince her to get it S-off'd at a local unlocking shop so I can tinker with it
It's shame there's no unlocked bootloader for it though... I bet HTC would sell a lot more units if they didn't lock them.

Hello Guys,
I'm new here and I've gotten since yesterday the One X. I was now wondering if I should rooting it or not? I will not lose my warranty because HTC wrote on htcdev.

the custom roms are a must have so root it but first check your CID and type
Code:
fastboot oem readcid
because to flash JB roms you need a certain one...

Well, as said, custom roms are great. But please, consider you'll loose warranty when unlocking your device. It's not clear from HTC.
If problems happens, you can't try sending it for free repair.
Also, to know which CID is yours, you can install CID Getter from the Play Store.

[Q] I've been out for a while so i have couple noob question

Hi every one i sold my HOX about a year ago ,but yesterday day i got again because the price was so low and it would be a sin not to buy it.
So as far as i can remeber there was kind of big issue with S-OFF back in the days it was impossible to get S-OFF how is it today? IS this possible?
Another question is about roms i'm kind of confiused with all that stuff about cid's and flashing roms ,so i'll try to keep it simple .My Phone is international version with Tegra 3 now i'm on JB 4.2.2 Sense 5 Build 4.18.401.4 with S-ON but i'm rooted ,bootloader is open i have TWRP with working touch screen and my CID is HTC_OO1 SO can i flash Android Revolution HD 33.1 from Mike or ViperX from Team Venom ?.
I appreciate your patience and i hope that someone who knows this subject well will answer me .
Thank You in advance .
PS:
I hope that is possible to get s-off and super cid
No s-off, only via a shop that offers the service. As far as roms......your hboot supports all roms.
Thank You for quick answer i just pressed the button "thanks" too

Free s-off local service thats freeeeeee

Im making a new thread because other s-off threads i guess i cant post in ? or others are dead last post 2013 .......
Well let me tell you what is going on here , as i have seen all over htc forums on xda people demand a free or cheaper s-off method and also there's no s-off for verizon m9 ..... What im offering is FREE S-OFF it takes about 1 sec for me to s-off any htc any android version , and not void the warranty !!!!
Questions?
will my phone be rooted ? NO
will my phone have custom recovery ? NO
will my phone have a custom rom ? NO
can you do this remotely ? NO Local only im in austin tx
Can i contact you directly? Yes i am not scared to give you my phone number just PM me for it, as i may be braking some internet rules if i post it here ?...??...??
Closing this thread as its duplicate to the efforts you have already joined in the javacard / clip thread.

You only have 1 option for root/S-OFF on the VZW M9.
Sending device out to someone with a Java Card or an XTC Clip2.
This thread here shows all the people and where they are located.
It's free but a donation is appreciated as the Java Card and XTC Clip2 aren't cheap.

well, thank you for responding but the problem is that i live in Morocco !! i think i ll just give up the idea of rooting my phone
Buy an xtc2clip your self. They are fairly cheap, and then you could provide the service to others in your area, and make the money back.

What about Rumrunner? Shouldn't that work?
Also, once S-OFF, can you install the Developer Edition Rom?
Thank you,

With a Verizon variant M9 the only way is Java card or XTC2clip.
You can install a developer edition ROM.
