I've been using this app since the original galaxy s, but couldn't really see any improvement on the gs3 till I did some adjustments. Now my gs3 is flying. Just thought I'd share. My settings are in the pic.

I was having scrollable lag with nova, but now it's smoother than ever. I guess all phones are really not created equal.
Btw, I'm on frosty v11, and stock kernel.

So I was wondering if there are any lag fixes for touchwiz4. Can anyonebplease explain to me why touchwiz (old and new one) is soo laggy when switiching screens? This is especially noticeable when using a live wallpaper. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I get what you're saying there prevails to not be a fix. Just touchwiz in general.

it should work considering touchwiz has that same exact redraw lag.. i havent used touchwiz in a while cuz of the horrible experience and i just stay with go laucher.. but tw4 has been implemented with some nice features -__-
Guys if you want an asop experience just flash racers tw port and adb push Apex Launcher into /system/app and remove tw launcher. Runs as good as it's gonna get with m&s's blaze modems and all the other hotfixes at least till t-mo drops 4.0.3 or the ril gets fixed on this.

No problem, battery life isn't that great right now because we don't have a t989 kernel but its def usable until we get a stable rc candidate.

I thought pushing these 3rd party launchers to the system/app was having the side effect of being slightly unstable? Is the payoff really that much better having it as a system app?

Features
First off, thanks for the hard work to all developers that have made fk23 available to the community.
Been running fk09 (thanks dan) w/fk23 modem and kernel. I saw this and said f YEAH! After flashing successfully on the first try and began playing with it, I noticed some differences of course between the two.
fk09:
1. In app drawer, continuous scroll was possible but not in fk23 and ways to arrange order is missing.
2. Long press on home screen gives options to add apps/widgets or change wallpaper on home screen/lock screen or both.
3. When pressing settings on bottom left of phone, missing other options.
If I'm missing something here on how to do these thing please advise because I love the theme that has been applied so far and am looking forward to the update.
TIA
On another note, I love the other features that this has that fk09 doesn't e.g. keyboard, gallery, the BOOT SOUND that almost made me spew my drink, etc.
Thanks again for your work and look forward to the future.
Does anyone truly like it? I find the extra page for toggles to be an annoyance to get to, and requires extra time. It just looks nice. The lock-screen also defeats all purpose of having a lock screen, and removes useful shortcuts (I know these can be added in through some cm or aokp builds but still). I didn't think it was possible for a new android version to really take a step back in terms of functionality but 4.2 really did. Scrolling isn't nearly as good as it was in 4.1 as well. But this is all my opinion, I'm interested to hear what you guys think. I'm looking to drop back to 4.1, and I'm hoping key lime pie gets rid of lock-screen widgets
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Yes I like it. And a few milliseconds don't hurt. I don't think android took steps back, it took 3+ steps ahead.

I like it.. Looks pretty good.
Although, I do agree somewhat with the lockscreen. When I had messages as one of the pages on the lockscreen, I wish I could just text them from there. But instead, you press it and it goes to the messaging app instead.
Agreed. With lockscreen and toggles. If I remember correctly though, pure AOSP that ships on nexus devices prior to 4.2 didn't have toggles. That's a luxury that was only afforded to root users. So really it was a step forward.
In my opinion though, they should have implemented CM's toggles and called it good.

I love it, So much smoother at least when it comes to cm10 vs cm10.1 depends on the ROM you are using, Baked Black Bean its amazing and there are quite a few new 4.2 ROMs out in the last couple weeks

I'm getting 3.5 or so screen time consistently with black bean. I'm actually getting better battery life than ICS out the box and with the same installed apps. Smooth performance too. I'm liking 4.2 so far. I do miss the TW calendar and music player. They seemed to work the best for me. Tethering is also been hit or miss. Nothing a big deal breaker for me though.

I think it is nice but, something they could have included in the original Jelly Bean instead of making a separate Jelly Bean version.

I use Opera to download files, Dolphin to read news and browse as i don't have to install fonts to my phone, the other one is default one. And normally I used to have more than 3. But last night I format my phone and not installed all browsers yet.
Its been a while since I never use launcher. Today I found this post and want to try some launchers and decide what is best. But I can't decide yet. That's the reason I has many launchers.
So, I bought it and have been playing with it for some time. Here are my first impressions.
It looks really nice and it is very good that you can customize what will it look based on time, location or WiFi. So you can always have something different, based on what you need.
Screens are fully customizable and there are 5 of them. You can have chameleon widgets or put your own anywhere. Official widgets are really nice.
It is pretty fast but tends to lag sometimes and first load of launcher is quite long.
You can put apps on screens and create folders and link them to app drawer so you have them always at hand.
The biggest downside of chameleon? RAM USAGE! It eats around 100MB to as high as 135MB or ram and it's slowing the phone down sometimes.
This launcher is in the making and will get even better than it is now. They really have to improve ram usage otherwise it is really good for now.
Will post some more after few days.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
