Hi everybody,
I've got a question about the car bluetooth.
After I registered my Wonder I8150 to it, if I step into the car with the car bluetooth turned on but my phone bluetooth turned off, the car bluetooth is able to find my device with bluetooth turned off, saying smth like "CANNOT CONNECT TO THE PHONE".
How is this possible?
I mean, if bluetooth is turned off on my phone, how can the car bluetooth still sense my phone?!?
Tx a lot.
i guess it just senses the radio frequency of ur phone or its just a procedure that always happen wn the car starts (you can check it by going into ur car one time without ur phone and start it normally, if the message reappears while u don't actually have ur phone then it's just an automatic procedure of the car), it depends on how much development is implemented into ur car (which in ur case a great thing to remind u that ur phone isn't connected)
one last question, wt is ur car model
press thanks if i help you

I already tested my car bluetooth without having the phone with me.
The system does not give me any message in this case; only when I enter the car with my phone with turned off bluetooth.
Any idea?
Car: tried on a Toyota Verso-S
then i guess the car can sense your phone's radio frequency, try to test it by having another phone with u instead of ur phone and tell me wt u find

Unfortunately I don't have any other bluetooth phone to test with, but I guess your assumption is right.
Could you elaborate on that?
Does every phone have a different radio frequency?
Tx a lot.

tell u wt, put ur phone into flight mode before getting into ur car and tell me if ur car can still detect it or not

After a few attemps, I am almost sure that the car always tries to connect to a bluetooth device - because the car bluetooth is always on! - and if it cannot it says CANNOT CONNECT TO THE DEVICE or smth like that.
I did not notice it before because if takes a few for the message to show up, and you don't keep looking at the screen if you don't have any bluetooth device with you!

Hi all
Okay i plugged an external aerial into my XDA Orbit (1) just to try it out as i work in the basement now my phone will pick up nothing without an external aerial plugged in as they say WTF is goin on thx for any help.
Matt
no phone signal after external antenna
Hi Matt,
I had the same problem as you decribe. After i connect a external GSM (phone) antenna
at the backside of my device i can not received any GSM (phone) signal.
Display shows that the device is still searching for a GSM-signal.
So i think that this is a problem which often happen by this type of device.
Also the GPS is not working because the device could not find any satelites.
It still searching for satelites, just the same as the GSM-signal.
So i think that something has broken, a contact from the internal antenna or maybe a shortcut in the circuits when we plugged the external antenna.
I have send the device to HTC and they did not repair it but they give me a another new device, only the inside parts are new not the outside case.
Hope that you could do something with this info.
Kind regards
Davidoff
I had this problem without pluging in an external antenna
try going to comms manager and click the phone icon to turn off the phone radio, then turn off the phone with the power switch...
Now turn on you phone again... this should turn the phone radio back on and it should work...

well, i was told this problem did not exist in the note 2 but apparently it seems that it does stateside. i use my phone daily in my car to connect to the appradio 2 via bluetooth. with the note 2 every time you connect you must confirm the pairing request number by hitting OK. is there any possible way around this? this pairing request was a common complaing amongs gs3 users as well. however, i always used CM10 and the problem didn't exist on aosp roms.
am i missing something is there anyway around this? it definitely isn't a setting on my radio as i changed nothing and the previous phone connected automatically every time.

I don't have to confirm anything when I connect to Bluetooth in my car. I get in, put it in its holder, plug power in, Tasker turns on BT, and it connects, no confirmation.

It's nothing special. It's the universal windshield mount from Sprint. I've been using it for long enough that the padding in the clamp is kind of worn wide enough that the N2 *just* fits, if I slide it in from the top, with the clamp wide open. No need to put the phone in, and snug up the sides. Just slide it down into the foam.

This happens on mine as well. No need to do anything but no need for an extra screen prompt

Hi,
Ive googled about this matter and cant seem to find a solution for the galaxy tab s lte but for other samsung devices since s3 is possible.
Ive also tried the Auto Power On app (paid apps) both of them didnt work and requested a refund.
It seems that we have to modify the file /system/bin/playlpm or /system/bin/lpm or /system/bin/ipod for this to work.
Ive tried everything and still doesnt work on the galaxy tab s lte.
What i need is for the tablet to boot upon connected to charger when the state is off. Now all i can see is the battery icon stating its charging but never boot into android.
Anyone have any idea how to make this work for the galaxy tab s lte?
Cheers.
Well it begs the question as to why in the world would anyone want this?
I wouldn't want my tab on every time I charge it.
I think you would need a custom rom, don't the apps you can download/buy, need your device to be already running so they can shutdown or run an app or change a mode when they detect you plugging in or removing the charger.
John.

Why would anyone need this? Let me answer you.
Some of us use our android tablets in cars ... There's app to make the tablet shutdown when u turn off the engine and the power is disconnected (tons of them).
But when u start the engine back and the power is re-connected, the tablet wont turn on. Right now the only solution i can do is to use tasker to airplane mode on the device when the display is off, and airplane mode off when the display turns back on. This saves power so that the tablet doesnt run out of juice overnight in the car.
So most of this has to do with in-car tablet systems that you want it to boot up as you start your engine. I can custom rom my tablet to run CM12 however even CM12 doesnt boot up, some settings needs to be changed and im not sure which part so i need some help on this.
Cheers.

Anyway back to serious matter ... Any one out here can help me with this problem? I think it would help a lot others too that are looking for a solution. a CM12 solution would be great also coz i can flash the tablet with CM12.
Thanks in advance.

C'mon. You and I both know that this is a niche scenario, and normally it's a bad idea. If your running low enough on battery to run you device dead, you want it to charge a while before turning on. We've all been waiting on a dead phone to get a few percentage points charged so that way it doesn't die immediately upon startup.
I've been leaving my Tab S on a constant power supply in the car. This means I have to turn it on and off manually. I have been toying with using Tasker to turn the screen on/off based on connection with a BT device that would be powered by an switched power source.
The problem I get is warning messages about trying to charge the battery while it is too hot or too cold.

Why dont u try this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.as.powerchecker it will close the android once ur power is disconnected from the car ...
As for turning it back on when u start. Still no solution ...
Any help guys? Last time asking ...
Using Tasker and Secure Settings, I can get the tablet to turn the screen on and off when the power is connected. If rooted, you could turn Airplane Mode on and off in Tasker also. But short of a change in the firmware, I have no idea how to power off and restart based on external power connection.
From what I remember, when CM12 was still buggy... when you connect a charger when it was powered off, it would show the battery icon and automatically reboot into recovery. Of course that was a bug, so I don't really know.

Same here, did you find an answer?
Same here but no solution found
Iam trying to set my tablet to auto start/boot when charger is connected in mini usb port. I didnot find lpm.sh in root\system\bin folder to modify. But i found ilm file with below script. Plz tell how to modify to make powered off tablet to boot when charger is connected.
Script to start "pm" on the device, which has a very rudimentary
# shell.
#
base=/system
export CLASSPATH=$base/framework/ime.jar
exec app_process $base/bin com.android.commands.ime.Ime "[email protected]"
You can instruct init to reboot the device whenever charger mode is detected. Create a new .rc file or edit any existing one:
# /system/etc/init/off_mode_charge.rc
on charger
setprop sys.powerctl reboot,leaving-off-mode-charging

Hi,
I have just bought and fitted a Eonon GA2114 Android unit
I have one or two issues please, and would really appreciate some help
1. When I hold the power button to shut the unit down, it says 'shutdown' for a second and the screen goes dark. When I power it on again it comes on immediately as if the stereo is switched on all along, just with the screen dimmed. (It does not boot up Android) - I should mention it is fitted into a campervan running off a leisure battery. Shouldn't make any difference I'd have thought but it is a permanent battery connection (No ignition on/off) is this a clue? I wondered if it was to do with the ACC wire if so?
2. When I do 'wake up' the Car Unit it seems to take quite a few seconds or so to 'prepare the SD card' - this can only refer to my permanently connected USB drive full of music (Via the rear of the unit) - surely this should be ready to use immediately the car stereo is on? It means I can't just switch on, and play music. Any ideas please as it is very annoying?
3. A brief one, what is the best locally stored Android music player to use please? for car use that is?
Many thanks for your hep
I must admit I am a little surprised to have no replies so far? Anyone pls?

Does the unit come with root, if it doe you could download a reboot app, most require root to function.
I don't believe these units actually shutdown, just go into standby mode, you cab check with the ENON techs.
No root as far as I am aware, a good idea otherwise thank you. I am still unable to fully power off (Or reboot) the unit. It seems to draw a lot of power and will drain the Leisure Battery for sure. I have emailed Eonon a few days ago, but not heard anything back. Not sure if they are active in any of the forums for a quicker response?
As for the USB Memory Stick with music on, I am still having the problem of 'unexpectedly removed' and 'preparing SD card' each and every time the unit is first used / turned on. Any ideas please as it's driving me bananas! thank you
I have the same unit and yeah it says powering off and it isn't powering off at all, it is even still connected to my phone via bluetooth when it has supposedly powered off!

Thanks for your reply, that is interesting. I have had two replies from Eonon so far. As I thought the ACC cable may be the culprit.
1. Unit can not shutting down completely
Please check whether you have connect the ACC wire always on BATT? If yes, this unit cannot turn off completely.
Please find the ACC control wire on the Fuse box location, then connect the ACC wire to the ACC control wire, the unit can turn on and off via key.
2. If you use the USB Memory Stick to play music? If so does yours have the delay issue as well? )Answer from Eonon copied below so far:
Yes, it will show message when you plug in or plug out SD/USB, this can not change.
But if it shows some error message that make the SD/USB would not work, would you please take a picture to show us?

I have the ACC wire connected correctly as when I turn the ignition off the stereo acknowledges this and turns off/powers down but that function is hard wired supposed to turning the unit off at the on/off/volume knob (while the ignition is on). Their answer is just avoiding the issue as the unit turns off fine with the ignition, it doesn't power down like it says it is when the ignition is on. I just turned my 'off' with the ignition on and could still connect to it via bluetooth....
I can't comment on point 2 as i've yet to rig my amps up and play any music!

Mmmmmm, thats not quite so good then. I was thinking that it might be the ACC as mine is running from a permanently 'on' Leisure Battery. I will probably pop the stereo out and have a look in the next week or so as I can't really change the battery situation (The idea is so that I don't run the starter battery down as it is a CamperVan)
I must say though that I am impressed with the sound (I have been testing PowerAmp, and PlayerPro and they both look and sound STUNNING, the standard player kept skipping for me at least)
I'm still looking into the other thing (Memory Stick) it works, but it's annoying really
I just got my unit yesterday and installed, so far very good device.
I noticed there is a setting in setup to delay shutdown for 30 seconds, and up... Maybe you are not waiting long enough for complete shutdown.
If you had the ACC wired to Battery, the unit screen would not shut off (i think).
ACC being connected to a permanent live compounds the problem as whenever ACC is live i.e ignition turned on, you can't power the unit down at all even though holding down the power button it clearly states "shutting down" when in reality it merely turns the screen off.
Thank you tiff_lee, I think that is exactly what happens in my case (Just the screen goes off)
It is draining my 12v battery rather quickly! If I was to disconnect the ACC cable will I still be able to power it on and use normally? (In my case the car stereo works from a campervan leisure battery. The idea being that you can have the radio on at any time without the ignition having to be on. Also it doesn't drain your starter battery at all)
Many thanks
ACC is accessory power. Accessory power is only powered when a key is on. If you don't have it wired to a ACC source then it won't properly shut off. Wire the ACC with the power wires and put a toggle switch between the battery and the power wires. I would think that would solve the problem.

If I understand your first post correctly you have the ACC connected all the time so yes the unit would effectively be on all the time hence the power drain. Leave the main power connected at all times as this also powers your memory, connect the ACC wire to a 12V+ supply via a toggle/selector switch and just turn it on (via toggle switch) when you want the unit on.
That aside though it doesn't change the fact that the unit does not power off when it says it is.
Hi
Been following this thread and having same issues I only have mine connected by the iso adapters and the unit doesn't seem to shut down fully, have had 1 flat battery so far after not using the van for several days on recharging battery and turning on it showed full start up screens.
Other issues are not being able to turn off the radio once turned on apart from in settings "force stop app"
No voice guidance in the Sygic GPS app.
Someone asked for a good music app,try N7 player, also Smart launcher is very good ,have it on all our Android stuff.

I have bought a Pumpkin KD-C0224 Android car unit and it's working great.
1. Have met the battery drained issue before and the Pumpkin seller suggested me exchange the "ACC" and the "B+" of the iso adapter.
They explained that the “ACC” and the “B+” of my car is opposite to the iso adapter, so I tried and it worked.
2. Maybe your USB Memory Stick is beyond the unit can support, or you can try other USB device with less than 32GB to check.
3. I have Spotify on my unit and its great, I think.
Hello,
someone did you solve this problem? I use the same multimedia Eonon GA2114 and have the same problem .In the moment extinguish my car out inscription 'unexpectedly removed SD card' Just to give contact and back contact without starting the engine again my written 'unexpectedly removed SD card'.
After starting my written 'preparing SD card' and starts from the first song. I'm tired just listening to the same song Please if anyone can help.
I have a very similar problem which has only started to happen recently on my Eonon head unit.
The problem is when you turn the unit off it shows a message saying "storage unexpectedly removed". When you turn on the head unit again it has to remount the USB drive and it starts playing music again from the beginning of the MP3. It never remembers the last play position of the MP3. This happens on various makes of freshly formatted USB sticks. Its very annoying....
I have done a full factory reset, disconnected the power and also re-connected all the cables from the back of the unit - but this did not resolve the problem.
Not really sure what to try next...any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I try to update my unit, android, MCU but nothing work, so i hope u can help me, cause Erisin dont reply to my problem.

None of the usb ports work because usb controller died on board.
First my wifi started to go off by itself, and soon enough nothing worked that could be connected to usb.
You should change the mainboard, or buy another device.
But first try factory reset.
In my case, front USB work (just the mini USB/USB cable move a lot, so i lost connection).
I allready try a factory reset and dont work too. For information, when i put WIFI dongle on USB Front, i can swap wifi ON too., but this dongle work on my computer.
Where i can find a mainboard ?
From your seller, I guess...
