When ever I try to use this feature from the Gallery it covers the picture with an obnoxious watermark. Is there some way in the settings, or an premium version of an app, or something else I need to do to disable this?

The developer is aware of this issue.

Not having an issue with the gallery. However, when I use the large power amp widget, the bottom of the widget sits under the rosie. Is there a way to resize?

I am not having a problem viewing pictures in the gallery either. The problem here is when I take a picture and I try to apply an effect to it. I dont know if you know what im talking about. Select a picture and tap on the picture. A little magic stick should appear at the bottom and should give you the option to add effect to the pic. As soon as you try to add the effect the gallery force closes. "The Application gallery has stopped unexpectedly"
Can anyone check their phone and see if you are having the same problem.
Thanks a lot!
anybody?
.
Yes, dude. As stated before, he is aware.

Hi all.
I have some questions regarding the new camera app in 4.2.
Why is there a difference between the camera I open from the lock screen widget and the actual camera out of the menu? For example when I take a picture with the widget camera, swipe to the left so have a look at the picture, I can only "delete" it. There are not the regular options like "share" or anything. I first have to go back, unlock, open gallery, find picture and then "share". Why is this??
Also, when I take a picture and afterwards have a look at it in the gallery, it actually captured more of the thing I wanted to take a picture of (I think about 10% at top, bottom, left, right). Has anybody else this issue?
And of course, the very frustrating lag when turning the device from landscape into portrait or vice versa, but like I read in other topics this is everybody's issue.
Thanks all!

That is for security reasons. Otherwise anybody who gets a hold of your phone could share your pictures anywhere he wants. If you disable your unlocking option (or set it to "move finger") you'll get the full menu including the icons for sharing.

This was most likely the reason.
But, correct me if I'm wrong, the camera can only be accessed via the 'Slide' screen lock, which isn't secure at all.

Yeah you're wrong. There is a huge camera icon sitting on the first page of the menu. I don't think anyone will miss that.
Why have the real time face effects in video recording been removed?

The camera actually take more than what we view on screen. That's annoying when I take a close up picture, it become farther view than what we seen on screen

you can also acces the camera using a lock pin. i didn't try with other security means (pattern, faceunlck, etc..) but i guess it's the same thing. personally, i like this feature a lot.
Title says it all. Cannot change my lock screen to anything but one of the stock wallpapers (there are maybe five of those...the dandelion, the water, the leaf with water droplets, etc.). I cannot change it to any other image in my phone.
I've tried clearing the Gallery cache and data as suggested in the Note 2 forum where someone else was having this problem. Doesn't work. It's not a big enough deal for me to go flashing roms or anything just to fix it, but I'd like to be able to change this!
I was having same issue... I'm using Quickpic as my gallery.
I had to clear settings to allow me to use the stock gallery to select the wallpaper and edit it.
You didn't mention if you were using stock gallery or not.
Then set Quickpic as default again and no issues.

If you're using the note 2 gallery you have to select the photo you want from the gallery and choose the option of "set picture as" otherwise it will force close.
just confirmed that will work!
I like to freeze Gallery and use QuickPic. But when I do, the camera and camcorder in AOSP ROM's always stop working.
Camera is not a big deal since I use a different app for that. But there is no other way to get a camcorder from the Play Store that I have found.
So right now, I'm forced to let Gallery do its thing.
Anybody know of a way to break this dependency so I can uninstall Gallery?
Nope... Gallery.apk contains the camera... Just hide the icon... Most launchers have the feature...

I do hide the icon. But that doesn't stop it from popping up as an option for several functions. Like choosing a new desktop background, etc.
You can uninstall Gallery on stock Samsung ROM. And it doesn't affect the camera. Kinda irritating that it's different with AOSP.
Just hit "always" when you select quikpic. Done.

What is this and how to I make it show up on purpose? It always seems to pop up only when a full screen app is open and I pinch-zoom, but I can never do it on purpose. It's annoying and I'd like to get rid of it.
Edit: Attached a better (unaltered resolution and rotated) screenshot.

Never mind, I found out what it is. It's Smart StatusBar's "Secondary Bar." Now to figure out how to disable it.
