Well that's strange then because it doesn't show up as a governer for any of the programs I use (Setcpu 2.2.4 (the free one) or no-frills cpu control)

Its not there. Pegasusq isn't a stock governor included in stock kernels, its added into custom kernels

Oh, I see. I thought it was a samsung made governor.

given the screen shot. For the best battery I would go with option #4. Wheatly gov is less agressive and smartassv2 is awesome for screen off.
There are now more options on this, mainly a bunch of "Change Governor" options. Is there a list of the profiles for the governor?

I'm using Wheatley now.. What would be the best IO scheduler to use for it?
- Sent From My Blu Kuban Themed Tapatalk Like A Boss
I'm having pretty good battery life with Wheatley and the SIO I/O. As for the tweaks I remember rujelus saying something along the lines that they weren't necessary but your free to try them if you want. (don't quote me on the last part, I'm thinking off the top of my head atm). If you use the tweaks you don't need to use setcpu or anything unless you want to modify the voltage.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
With these scripts just flash the one you want and then open setcpu and pick your I/O?

Nibbles Kernel Is Here!
Thanks to Krazeecracker for letting me take over!
Thanks to Android88 for helping me test my builds into the wee hours of the night
THIS WILL WIPE CURRENT INIT.D SCRIPTS. MAKE SURE YOU BACK THEM UP!
I did not create this Kernel, I just maintain and add features to it. Give total credit to CVD as this is his creation and body of work. He made this possible. ALSO BIG SHOUTS OUT TO THOMAS.RAINES FOR THE BASE KERNEL LZ KERNEL
Features: The Nibbles kernel includes a LOT of new features that cater to all users who want to get the most out of their device. I've included many popular CPU Governors and I/O schedulers to support a wide variety of uses. Additionally, I've made lots of other fundamental changes to the kernel to better balance battery and performance (well beyond what you can do with a handful of scripts) as well as implementing over clocking the CPU to 1.782GHz, Under/Over Volting the CPU at each frequency step and over clocking the GPU.
CPU Governors: intellidemand, pegasusq, gallimaurfy, interactivex, smartassv2, wheatley, interactive, conservative, userspace, ondemand, performance
I/O Schedulers: noop, deadline, cfq, sio, vr, bfq

So does this mean the stock gpu version have better battery life and the OC'd gpu version is better for gaming?
Also, new governors.... so much testing to do

Yes lol. CvD over in the skyrocket forums took this and tweaked it for everyone's taste. I tweaked it for our Hercules
So I have a stock rooted T889v and i have the stock kernel as well. I downloaded set cpu today just to see if I can change governors. To my surprise, I have options to do so. It was with the pegasusq governor before I changed it to on demand.
Is this right? Does the stock kernel really offer these governors?

i don't game at all, i just want the device to be snappy with my constant switching between facebook, viber, whatsapp...etc
which governor should i use? and should be the min, max CPU speed? i can go up to 1804Mhz but i prefer not to overclock if possible

I personally recommend SIO governor, it's good enough for me or maybe if you're on CM10.1 you could try the FIOPS or BFS governor to from Hurtsky 3.4.xx version one. Cause it could even handle switching from whatsapp and light games to.
Could try which one suit you better..
