given the screen shot. For the best battery I would go with option #4. Wheatly gov is less agressive and smartassv2 is awesome for screen off.
There are now more options on this, mainly a bunch of "Change Governor" options. Is there a list of the profiles for the governor?

I'm using Wheatley now.. What would be the best IO scheduler to use for it?
- Sent From My Blu Kuban Themed Tapatalk Like A Boss
I'm having pretty good battery life with Wheatley and the SIO I/O. As for the tweaks I remember rujelus saying something along the lines that they weren't necessary but your free to try them if you want. (don't quote me on the last part, I'm thinking off the top of my head atm). If you use the tweaks you don't need to use setcpu or anything unless you want to modify the voltage.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
With these scripts just flash the one you want and then open setcpu and pick your I/O?

Nyan Colonel was originally created for the Epic 4G as an effort to bring all of the features from other Hummingbird devices to the Epic. Now I have used my upgrade on a Galaxy Nexus and have been trying many different kernels and every one seems to have some features and be missing others. I have attempted to add as much features I can while still keeping the kernel lean and fast with great battery life. This does not require you to be some crazy linux enthusiast in order to modify, or charge you for an app capable of tuning it. It comes with the trickstermod app in order to tweak the kernel to your needs in case the preset settings don't fit your user type.

Features

Bold = Default
CPU Governors
PegasusQ - A mix of performance and battery life that hotplugs the cpu at low use
Interactive - Boosts frequency based on load put on by the user. Modified to also boost on touch of the screen.
Ondemand - Basic scale on demand governor with no hotplugging
HotplugX - Ondemand modified to hotplug at low use and screen off
Wheatley - Basically ondemand (scales depending on demand) that is modified for performance
Lazy - Basically conservative (scales gradually depending on load) that is modified for performance
Schedulers
SIO - A mix of NOOP and Deadline made for flash memory, like the GNex has
BFQ - Currently experimental. For heavy IO load
CFQ - Attempts to distribute the disk fairly among processes
Deadline - Imposes a deadline on processes to prevent lack of resources
NOOP - Simplest scheduler. Good for flash memory.
CPU Frequencies (MHz)
230, 384, 729, 1030, 1228, 1305, 1420, 1536, 1612, 1728, 1804
GPU Frequencies (MHz)
Set by running: echo # > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/gpu_oc
echo 0 = 308MHz
echo 1 = 384
echo 2 = 512
If you don't like using command lines, you can edit the gpu_oc file with es file explorer and change it from 0 to 1 or 2

I will attempt to support this as much as I can on xda, but for several reasons (not that xda sucks... it is a great site, but there were some issues with OP length, etc. and it is hard to update on multiple sites), I have my main thread over at rootzwiki...
Anyways, get the full feature list at rootzwiki and I'll just post a basic overview here on this thread.

Description:
Nyan was originally created to port GSM Galaxy S 1 mods over to the Sprint variant. I have since moved to the Galaxy Nexus and have noticed that whenever I would get a new kernel, I would really miss features from the kernel that I was using prior, so that inspired me to make my own kernel for the Tuna.

Nyan is really disagreeing with the ondemand governor
Still I prefer this over any of the other kernels here so far, a good blend of features.
Thanks a lot.Awesome!

The final beta 2 (so I heard you like betas, so I made a beta of a beta) changelog will probably be:
1. Modified or possibly reset ondemand
2. CM sysfs support (in the beta 2 posted earlier)(thanks imoseyon)
3. Pegasusq tweaks and fixes (thanks sonicxml)

Hi,
Yesterday I installed the Ussr v8 rom. I really like it, but i wanted to change my cpu speed, governor and I/O scheduler , so I installed Ussr kernel which would support that. I wanted some more so I also installed the BaCeM tweak. But when I want to change the governor to by example Ondemand, it stucks on the performance governor, except with the hotplug governor and a few others I don't like. Hoe can I fix this and make the other governors work?
Thanks, Jidde!
Ps: I tried it with no frills cpu control and antutu cpu control
Edit:
Sorry, i just discovered i put this in the general forum, It was late when i post this. Can a mod move this to the q&a forum?
Anybody?

Better option is to use better kernels like savie,KUro,white etc.it has all the working governors and they are frequently updated too. Ussr kernel is relativly new in the scene

oke, thanks, i will try!
I have another question, how can i delete a tweak? I installed BaCem 0.2.1 but i want to delete it... Can I just delete the 3 installed files?
That, because I want to install the savie's kernel, or don't I need to remove the bacem tweak for that?

Nibbles Kernel Is Here!
Thanks to Krazeecracker for letting me take over!
Thanks to Android88 for helping me test my builds into the wee hours of the night
THIS WILL WIPE CURRENT INIT.D SCRIPTS. MAKE SURE YOU BACK THEM UP!
I did not create this Kernel, I just maintain and add features to it. Give total credit to CVD as this is his creation and body of work. He made this possible. ALSO BIG SHOUTS OUT TO THOMAS.RAINES FOR THE BASE KERNEL LZ KERNEL
Features: The Nibbles kernel includes a LOT of new features that cater to all users who want to get the most out of their device. I've included many popular CPU Governors and I/O schedulers to support a wide variety of uses. Additionally, I've made lots of other fundamental changes to the kernel to better balance battery and performance (well beyond what you can do with a handful of scripts) as well as implementing over clocking the CPU to 1.782GHz, Under/Over Volting the CPU at each frequency step and over clocking the GPU.
CPU Governors: intellidemand, pegasusq, gallimaurfy, interactivex, smartassv2, wheatley, interactive, conservative, userspace, ondemand, performance
I/O Schedulers: noop, deadline, cfq, sio, vr, bfq

I can't seem to find the location on this ROM that allows you to change the governor settings... I swear I've looked everywhere!
i dont use that ROM but just FYI, kernel control features may not be built into it. as a matter of fact, a lot of ROMs dont have any built in kernel setting controls. where you using it before and it had it? saw a user running slimbean this morning with ktoonsez kernel. full control

It's the kernel that came with the ROM, 3.4.41-slim-g846750a. I just read of people talking about changing their governors and wanted to give it a try..
i use (and only use) ktoonsez kt747 kernel with any ROM i am on (tasks latest currently). it comes packaged with an app that allows me to select and make governor and scheduler adjustments as well as tweak many other things in order to improve stability and battery life. highly recommend.
You can enable the developers settings by going into settings>about phone>and tap on build number 6 or 7 times and that will unlock the performance options
