Hey guys, been running ParanoidKANGdroid 1.40 for a few days, loving it. I don't have a clue what I did but at some point today my notification bar disappeared for everything BUT the lock screen. It shows up normal, I can even open it up while the phone is locked, but as soon as i unlock its just gone and I cannot figure out how to reenable in my options. Bar is gone on all launchers so its a system issue, not launcher
I'm running paranoidKangdroid 1.40 too. I try holding the power button and select expanded desktop disabled.

Seem to be having issue with icon not disappearing from notification bar.
Have tried task killer but still not going away.
Can anybody help.

get advanced task killer free from the android market
install, go into it, select the program your thying to kill and simply press the button at the top, "kill selected apps" as far as I can remember..
if that doesnt work go into the app (hotspot or whatever you're trying to close) press menu and see if it has any options to do with the notification bar icon...
hope this helps! good luck!
Thanks for your reply but already tried both. Just won't go away and really don't want to wipe.

Does it seem to lock up the phone? That's what mine has been doing. I waited long enough and saw a wait/close popup for the settings apk. But I am wondering if it is another app causing the issue. Never experienced this with ICS.
hi guys,
i just noticed that my screen is not rotating, this has been going for a couple of days now. yes i checked the setting on the menu bar and the option is selected to allow rotation but it does not.... any tips on how to solve this?
There is a option in your pull down menu

Go to: Settings, Display, and check box Auto-Rotate screen
Did u factory reset? First see if auto rotate in settings/display is enabled or checked
Mine was doing the same I selected it then re selected it and it started working again.

Which CM10 are you running? The nightlies in Nov and Dec have a kill all button in the top right corner. (Looks like steps) press it and voila!

I believe that is to clear all notifications. He wants to be able to clear his recent apps drawer of all opened apps. I am not running CM10 so I'm not sure how to activate it on CM10, but on AOKP it's in in Settings--> ROM Control --> General UI.

The clear notifications is if you drag down the notifications bar.
I wrote that message at 4:15am and was half asleep. I forgot to add that you have to hold the home button and the icon is there to kill all.
Unless it isn't what that icon is for...

Just update. In About Phone should be Cyanogen menu for updates. Its an auto installer. Everything is done for you after it downloads.

Removing apps from the most recent list does not "kill" them. Android will "kill" apps when it needs to.
Hi, I'm running LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 and this morning I was messing around using the navigation tools rather than hardware keys and after I disabled the navigation tools I could no longer pulldown notifications and my status bar no longer appears at the top of my screen. I have rebooted my phone, restarted my launcher, tried to disable then enable the status bar and pulldown bar but unfortunately nothing has worked. Has anyone else encountered this and know how to fix this? Thank you.

Once the system framework gets messed up like this, I've always had to re-install my ROM.
Just wipe cache & dalvik, nothing else.
All your data & apps & settings should remain the same after the re-flash.
Before you go wild re flashing stuff hold down your power button til the menu pops up and see if expanded desktop is active. That's your problem if I remember correctly how the newer navigation tools work.
