Hello community,
I have a little Problem regarding my One X. The device has the known WiFi Problem and therefore it has to be sent to HTC to be repaired.
I have unlocked my phone and have flashed a custom ROM. Now I have to flash the Stock ROM before sending my device to HTC.
The problem is that there isn't a RUU which makes this possible. The reason is that the HBoot is based in the newest Vodafone Germany Update (Rom 1.29, Hboot 0.95), which can't be downgraded. Ther e are only RUUs for 1.26 and 1.28, not for 1.29.
Therefore I should restore a corresponding nandroid. Thats another problem, I don't have my nandroid backup anymore.
If I missunderstood something, please let know.
Is there another way to go back to the stock Rom or can somebody provide me a corresponding nandroid?
CID: VODAP102
Vodafone Germany
Base 1.29
Thanks in advance.

You'll find a flashable stock ROM (rooted and unrooted both) in the Development Section.

Sorry, if this sounds like a noobish thread.
Well, i have CID_044 and Hboot 1.12 on the International Unlocked Version of HTC One X. My question here is, when the official update (JB 4.1.1) for my CID is released, will it automatically update my Hboot as well? Coz i think JB requires a newer Hboot? Or will i have to do it manually?

Edit : and yes jb needs a higher hboot, but if you ask me my opinion according to your question ....stay on ics and wait for the official update, it will update everything automaticly .....it comes when it comes.....

Most probably yes , hboot is like the BIOS on a computer , so it should need a compaitable boot.img , I mean the boot.img at the newe JB Stock ROMs need a compaitable hboot to run which may be only available at newer hboots

Hello I recently acquired an HTC One X unit. It is rooted as I received is as it is running ICS ViperX rom
I checked the CID and it gave me T-MOB005
Can I flash an official stock JB ROM on it? and how. can you recommend guides since there is a lot of guide here. I don't know where to start
You must flash back to stock and have stock recovery and then wait for the official OTA release by T-mobile. Before you ask, NO ONE except your carrier will know the release date. You got no other choice than to wait.
stay with viperx for the meantime.:good:
Same boat as me with that cid expect it next year

For official jb update you need to go back to stock recovery and stock room and also you should relock your boot loader.
Search for jb flasher tool and quit after relocking boot loader.
Hi everyone,
Hopefully an easy question for those more experienced than I...
I have previously rooted my OneX and installed custom roms on ICS. I restored original rom, re-locked bootloader and flashed original recovery so I could install the JB update over the air. This all went smoothly.
I used over the air update as my CID wasn't on the list here (yet):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
I would like to re-root my device and start installing the custom JB roms. Can I just unlock the bootloader again, install CWM recovery, then start flashing the JB roms (and boot.img) as before, using this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592355
Or is there something I need to wait for?
Thanks,
Craig

I'm seeing something about HBoot in some of the custom roms. I can't seem to find a clear explination, but is this something that was updated when I updated OTA, or does it need to be modified again to run the custom roms?
Thanks,
Craig
So what i understand you are on stock JB at the moment ?
If so yes you can unlock, install custom recovery and flash JB roms the same way as you did on ics
You can check the top of the bootloader if it says hboot 1.31 or higher you are good to go

Hello! N00b here!
I have a pretty unique problem. When I got my One X, I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and installed a custom recovery (CWM).
Now that Jelly Bean is out for the One X, I flashed the stock recovery and need further help on obtaining the stock ROM(or RUU?) and flashing it.
I was way more comfortable with these procedures with my Galaxy S. I can't figure out these HTC terms, for the life of me.
My phone's CID is HTC__038 if that helps.
Do I need to re-lock the bootloader to revert back to a stock JB ROM?

basicly if you follow this thread [11.02.2013] Jelly Bean firmware collection for different Carriers ID (CID) it will guide you how to do what you want to abtain, basicly this will help you update you hboot to a jb compatible hboot so you can flash a custon jb rom
EDIT: or even use this thread [TOOL] JB FW Easy Flasher & Fastboot Toolkit *Update Dec21* hboot 1.31/1.33/1.36/1.39 may be easier for you
